Hyunyoung is a bright ball of sunshine that's kind of hard to put out. She's fiery, and upbeat, with a smile about as contagious as a yawn. It's quite hard to dislike her - Hyunyoung just has that kind of charm that no matter how irritatingly positive she gets, you can't help but smile at her efforts to remain optimistic. She's very bright, and vibrant, almost like a shining star. It's hard to miss her because of this shining aura. She's just simply a child - so innocent and so pure that it makes you feel guilty for even thinking of bad things. She's honest, Hyunyoung is the girl who can never lie, and perhaps it is for the best as well. She is the girl with the golden heart - unwavering and unrelenting.
However, even Hyunyoung has her limits. It seems as if she always forgives and forgets with countless second chances ready to give away, however, one needs to remember how sensitive she actually is. Everything is bottled deep down in her though, and it's frightening to even think about what would happen when it will all explode. It's quite thankful that no one has yet to see her in this state - not Zelo, not Woohyun. Her patience is almost unbearably long and no one knows exactly which way to push her buttons.
There's also something about Hyunyoung that seems as if she's so open, and yet no one really knows anything about her - no one but those closest to her. Hyunyoung is sort of a walking contradiction - her personality seems so fake, and yet she is possibly the most real person anyone has encountered. And though she seems to be the most harmless little thing on earth, the fact that she knows everything about you yet you know nothing about her is enough to shake even the bravest of souls to their cores. Hyunyoung lived a very ordinary life, which was almost ideal in nature to everyone who heard of it; a faithful group of friends, an average of B- for her grades, a very respected, slightly popular, reputation, a family who supported her so much, and a whole lot more that made up the, more or less, "perfect" lifestyle. But then again, maybe it was because of this seemingly perfect life that things started to get boring. Hyunyoung was never caught up in anything - no drama, no fights, no nothing. The mundanity of her life almost drove her crazy, to the point that she stopped being "Choi Hyunyoung, the bright ball of sunshine and rainbows" and started developing "Choi Hyunyoung, the epitome of doom and gloom and all things fake and not-her," which kind of pissed off most of her friends, save for Woohyun apparently. This happened throughout the course of her middle-school years; nothing was exciting, everything was boring. Hyunyoung even contemplated just simply ending her life to stop everything. To which she did, sometime after finishing her entrance exams for high school.
Zelo, her younger cousin who was living with her family at that time because of his studies, had found her kneeling by their bathtub filled with red water, unconscious and with her left wrist slashed. Hyunyoung woke up in a hospital room to see Zelo almost in hysterics and Woohyun angrier than she's ever seen him. Zelo was close to tears { she had never seen the boy cry } and Woohyun kept scolding her { much like a mother, she noted, but would never tell him }. Angry at herself for making both of them so worried, Hyunyoung promised she wouldn't doing anything so stupid ever again. Hyunyoung's parents, who were out of town visiting her older sister who had just given birth to her first daughter, did not know anything - Hyunyoung had made both boys swear to never mention the incident again. It was an almost over-night transformation; as soon as Hyunyoung was released from the hospital, she began becoming all smiles and laughs and generally the spirited Choi Hyunyoung everyone liked. Hyunyoung doesn't talk about it - and only the three of them know about the incident, but no one was complaining about her bubbly return.

- Nam Woohyun | 21 | University student ; works part time at a cafe from across Hyunyoung's workplace | Woohyun is kind of creepy for those who do not know him that well, he can be a bit overbearing at times but one should always remember that he always means well. He comes off as a little too easy-going and even slightly greasy, slacking off in work to casually flirt here and there, but he also has his serious sides to him. It just doesn't appear as often as Woohyun prefers simply taking it easy than going all dramatic over things. | Woohyun has seen Hyunyoung both at her best, and at her worst, and maybe because he decided to stay through it all is why Hyunyoung treasures him so. She makes it seem as if she's always annoyed by his mindless flirting, but is constantly grateful for his presence. Woohyun sees their relationship as a sort of give and take - he's sad, she makes him happy with her boundless energy, she's depressed, he makes her laugh with his corny jokes and greasy pick-up lines. Their relationship is completely platonic, no matter what people say or think.

He's sort of a little awkward, but is so in a very adorable way. Since he's the youngest in their household, Zelo is always babied, but that doesn't seem to make him spoiled - it actually somehow makes him want to work harder in order to not be a bother. He's very passionate about things he likes, and despite his young age, is quite ambitious with his goals. Zelo is always determined to keep persevering until he gets what he wants. | Zelo is Hyunyoung's baby boy. They have a 6 year difference, but that doesn't seem to be a bother to either of them, on the contrary, it seemed to make their relationship stronger. Hyunyoung adores him, and since Zelo had always admired his older cousin for being so vibrant, it was easy for them to get along with each other. Zelo is technically more mature than Hyunyoung - as he always thinks outside of the box - and thus becomes her voice of reason, while Hyunyoung becomes the only person Zelo can actually become childish with, spoiling him with food.

They're not particularly close, but being co-workers, they're relationship is close enough to be gushing over gossip.
- Im Woongjae { Siwan } | 23 | Cafe manager | Siwan is the kind of guy you can trust with absolutely no hesitations. He's mature, and level-headed, though at times can be quite timid in nature. Siwan is considered an almost perfect gentleman; sweet, without even meaning to, and quite polite. Now if only Hyunyoung could do something about his shyness... | Hyunyoung admittedly had a one-time crush on him, but that was only because he was her ideal type. Woohyun still likes to about that little bit, and though Siwan knows about it, he never said anything about it if only to be polite. They're not particularly close, but they're friendly enough to be able to chat with each other for a few minutes every time she visits.

Though she acts this way, when she is dedicated to something, she always perseveres to accomplish it. | When Jimin learned that Hyunyoung was really good with make-up and worked at a cosmetics store, she started fawning over the older girl and told her she was "living her dream". Jimin admires Hyunyoung a lot, and is her "number one fan" when it comes to the girl's make-up.

- Park Shin Hye | 22 | Model ; occasional actress | Shin Hye is a down-to-earth sweetheart who does not let her popularity get the better of her. She's regarded as one of the most humble actresses in the business, and is quite hardworking for her dreams. | They're not close at all - Hyunyoung is simply a fan and Shin Hye is the idol. Hyunyoung considers herself as Shin Hye's number one fan, and always collects magazines that Shin Hye appears in. They actually only met thrice, two of which were fan meetings and the last when they accidentally bumped each other in the street. Shin Hye was so ecstatic to meet a fan and was quite humble, making Hyunyoung idolize her even more. | Maybe it was Hyunyoung's own fault, but the next thing she knew, she went from fangirling over Park Shin Hye's latest drama to frowning whenever she appeared on screen. Dongwoo seemed to be smitten with her from Hyunyoung's own constant nagging for him to watch her dramas. She's unsure when she started feeling jealous of her own idol, but seeing Dongwoo so focused on the screen, ignoring her, made her kind of upset.

- Kim Taeyeon | 23 | Assistant teacher | Taeyeon is kind of child-like - she's easy to please and even easier to tease. The best part is that she knows how to tease back. Taeyeon has a motherly side to her as well, but is mostly over shadowed by the fact that she's just so adorable. | Taeyeon likes to keep the whole class happy, and that very much includes Hyunyoung. Taeyeon always mentions her name to keep her awake in class, projecting an image of closeness, though in reality they probably have the most awkward relationship ever. | Taeyeon teaches economics, which is Hyunyoung's weakest subject. Hyunyoung thinks she's very reliable as a friend, but as a teacher, she big time. Hyunyoung, thinking she was close to Taeyeon, let it slip that she didn't like how Taeyeon was teaching which kind of hurt the older girl's pride. Though it did have a nice effect - Taeyeon started tackling the subject in a different way that was beneficial to the students but still fun for her. After that, Taeyeon always strived hard to keep Hyunyoung happy in her class, which kind of put Hyunyoung in a relatively awkward position - especially since she thought Taeyeon was angry at her. It kind of doesn't help that Sungyeol seemed to be rather stricken with the young teacher...

how did you meet your neko:
Hyunyoung was rushing from work to pick-up Zelo from school, since it was raining pretty heavily that day and she knew her younger cousin would not have an umbrella. She had been dismissed late from work and was pretty worried when she didn't see Zelo immediately. Her cousin was actually playing with a stray cat that somehow ended up near their school gates, wet from the rain and shaking from hunger. Zelo asked her if they could possibly take care of the poor, defenseless animal since it seemed so lonely and pitiful. Hyunyoung, a little bit reluctant at first, eventually gave in when Zelo continuously pleaded to have them take care of the poor stray. How hard could it be to take care of a stray cat? Oh, how dead wrong was she.

Dongwoo is almost as vibrant and shining as Hyunyoung is. The only difference? Dongwoo shines so much brighter. There's simply something that sets him off, making him completely different from how Hyunyoung is. His innocence could give hers a run for her money, to be honest. He's a little naive and gullible, easily believing people's lies with as much sincerity as he can muster. He might come off as a little clumsy and dorky, but that's simply part of his charm. Dongwoo is just a man { or a neko, if you put it that way } who is about as pure as one can get, and his honesty is almost guilt-wracking. He's simply just someone with a heart of gold, shining and shimmering.
Dongwoo can be a bit of an oddball as well, though. He gives up his image to take up the role of the "foolish" character, if only to make someone smile. He's a little restless, and can never sit still. Sometimes, it's even easier to imagine him as a dog, in all aspects. Dongwoo is loyal to a fault, and sometimes it makes even Hyunyoung feel sorry for even remotely tricking him.
The difference with him and Hyunyoung is mainly how much he shines brighter than her - but there is another point that is overlooked by everyone else. Dongwoo is real, he is so very genuine that at times, Hyunyoung feels so guilty. His smiles and laughs and actions are all so sincere, it could make an average person want to do something more worthwhile in their lives. Dongwoo really is just too much of a good guy.
how he acts around you:
Dongwoo is very natural around Hyunyoung, it's as if he's known her for years rather than just a few weeks. Dongwoo is a tad too friendly, and is easy to warm up to anyone, to the point that Hyunyoung grows unconsciously jealous of even Woohyun who likes to play with Dongwoo. Dongwoo isn't too much of an attention seeker, rather, he garners attention unconsciously - which he really doesn't mind. He likes playing around, especially with Hyunyoung who he has grown to be rather fond of. She is the only one he really tries hard to bother, asking her constantly to talk to him about her day as it will make her feel less tired. He would never really admit it, but the only reason he does so is because he likes listening to her and watching her smile and chat about how her day went.
how do you behave around him:
Hyunyoung likes Dongwoo - as more than a friend or simply like how she likes Woohyun, she doesn't know. Not too clearly anyway. All she knows is that Dongwoo, no matter how bad her day went, could always make her feel better - even with just a smile. She behaves as she usually does around him - always so very cheerful and forgiving when he messes up on something, like accidentally dropping a mug or toppling over some of her books. Sometimes, she does act a little spoiled with Dongwoo, especially once he starts calling for her attention indirectly. At times a little jealous because of Dongwoo's friendliness, Hyunyoung sometimes purposely ignores him, only to regret it almost instantly when he starts showing her that absolutely devastated look of his.

To put it bluntly, Sungyeol is a child. At times, he can get a little bit over-the-top, and you can't help but be irritated, but his choding nature is just very... charming. There is something about his personality and aura that makes him very likeable - annoying, yes, but still quite likeable. Sungyeol is the type to wear his heart on his sleeve, when he likes something, you cannot hear enough of it, and when he dislikes somemthing, the same procedures go. Sungyeol has a very one-track mind - he puts his all into only one thing and tends to forget about everything else.
Just because he's a choding though, does not mean he can't be serious. He just doesn't see the need to be, which Hyunyoung whole-heartedly agrees on. Sungyeol prefers seeing smiles on everyone's faces rather than foreboding looks. In this sense, despite his seemingly insensitive and blunt nature, he does care a lot about others, especially those he is close to. Sungyeol does absolutely everything in his power to brighten up his special someone's day, even at the price of his own dignity.
Sungyeol is simply just a choding with a huge heart.
how he acts around you:
He is such a kid it's almost irritating. Sungyeol craves for attention, and does everything he can to get it. Whether it's through spouting snarky comments about Hyunyoung's indescribable fashion taste or through continuously pestering her until she responds. He's quite a brat, but it's kind of his charm as well. Sungyeol likes to play around a lot, especially with Hyunyoung and especially when she's tired. Not that he wants to torture her, but merely because he wants to relieve some stress from her. Though you will never hear that from him. The thing with Sungyeol though, is that he might just take his feelings for the girl to his grave.
how do you behave around him:
Hyunyoung suddenly becomes a mature individual when around Sungyeol - well, someone has to be. She constantly argues with him over the smallest things, but she could never tell anyone she doesn't enjoy their little banters. It's sort of a constant for her, in a way. The only thing she's certain would never go. In a way, she feels very comfortable when around Sungyeol, which is very odd since she's supposed to be the one taking care of him...
