My Confused Heart

ok, get ready for a sad story. And this is a true story, and I want your ideas and comments and advice if you want to give any. Okay, here I go.

So what happened is that it all started from where I was in Grade 7, and it was the last year of Elementary school. My two friends had this crush on one dude, and they both like him equally, and don't fight for him. They treat him like an idol. Which means that if he is on the other side of the field, they would be like "OMG he is right there! Look! No, don't look! Did he change is hairstyle today?" And stuff like that.

It happened like that all through the year. And then a few months before grad, a grade 6 came up to me in french during a video we were watching and for some reason was the dude (let's call him "Teddy") friend. So, the dude came up to me with a smile on his face, but then looked like he had no emotions inside of him. Usually, he is the mood-maker of the class, and whatever he does makes a whole big difference to the classroom aura.

Anyways, the dude came up to me and said "(Teddy's friend) says that Teddy likes you." And went back to his seat. It took me a while to process everything, and once I did, I was like "WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?!"

'Cause this dude is the only dude I never spoke to for the whole year, and all of a sudden this friend says that he likes me.

It was so disturbing when my friends starting drawing hearts on my sheet of paper. My friends who were fans of Teddy didn't really care and were happy for me. So when I was sitting with my friends during lunch, everyone was staring at me and it felt kinda creepy.

Then, it became more creepy. Teddy and his friends started to stalk me!!!! I was freaked out and was hyperventilating. I went to the field, and he was there. A few meters away of course. As much as I wanted to be able to go up to him and ask, an part of me told me to  calm down and just think if it really was stalking. Maybe it was just a coincidence.

SO I went up to the hockey court. And turned around. He was there. So our group dashed to the field where our basketball court was. And then I saw them running.

But after that a few weeks later, it got even weirder. They started to get closer and closer and closer. And all they did was come up from 3 meters away and then dash off. I think he wanted to ask something but I was clueless then. But my friend was able to talk to Teddy and figure out what to do. In the meantime, there was a rumor going around that Teddy was going to ask me to the dance. I said no way is he going to.

Then during lunch period, my friend overheard Teddy and someone else talking. They were saying, "Dude, if you want to ask (me) to the dance, then you got to man up" or something like that. Then my friends went all goggly eyed at me.

When lunch ended, one dude asked what my last name was, and I was kinda scared of what was going to happen, so I didn't say anything.

And then came the one day that ended the whole misery.

On June 8th, At 10:30am, Teddy asked me to the grad dance. I had to make him repeat it twice because of my friends screaming so loudly, and then everyone put so much pressure on me.

He then called me something called "Smeautiful" or something like that, and I guess it was a compliment.

On the day before, he asked his friend to ask me what my favorite color was. And I answered turquoise. So on the day of the grad dance, he picked me up and brought me turquoise flowers. It was so sweet!

But I had to walk there. And on the way, people were honking at us. It was so embarrassing. And he was the type to just keep quiet, so I had to ask him the questions. When we were at the main door, my friend's car honked at us and we both turned red. When we got there, we both went our ways and parted. During the dance, we danced sometimes, and in the end we did slow dance. His hand was sweaty though, and after that I had to wash my hands from the sweat.

On the day before school ended, he asked me out.

But we never went anywhere without someone.

I went to the movies with him and my brother, and we went to the park together with my friends, and that was it. So I didn't talk to him in texting, but I did invite him to my B-day party. And he got me a birthday present and a build a bear. He was so sweet!

And then, it came the day when we had gone to High School. We barely spoke a word to each other. And he asked me using texting, "Why won't you be talking to me anymore?" And I answered "because of all of the schoolwork and everything and the stress." And he said, "Oh, so it's my fault for causing you stress. Do you want to go back to being friends again?" And I said, "Do you?" and he said, "Well, I guess, so, yes." and that was the end of that.

It felt so boring of that breakup.
