Kaerin is a distant person, having have felt betrayal in the past, she doesn't trust girls very easily. On the other hand, she thinks of guys as the ideal type of company she can have, but Kaerin's also a very shy girl. She's not confident all the time, when she's nervous, she tends to look down. When she's around people who she really wants to befriend, she finds herself out of words. A lot of girls tend to critisize her for her choice of clothing style, but you know what they say, the flashier they are, the less confident the are.

Kaerin gives off the aura that she doesn't care about a lot of things, Kaerin is an observer, she'll quietly sit there and look at what you are doing rather than joining in with you. She also finds it hard to put emotions on her face, afraid of commitment and showing others how she really feel. A lot times, she'll regret her shy behavoir and maybe cause a misunderstanding with the other person who might think of Kaerin as unresponsive or up herself.

Kaerin is scared of being talked about behind her back, therefore she might stop talking to someone just because she feels threatened by their words or actions. Kaerin, like any other Virgo, is an insane perfectionist. If it's not perfect, she doesn't want it. If it's not done perfectly, she'll do it again until it is. Though Kaerin's not the type to like to clean up after herself. She'll make a mess, move somewhere else and make another mess, vowing to clean it up later. But she never does. Because of this, she can easily misplace her belongings.

Though Kaerin is shy and timid, if she's close to you or comfortable with talking to you, she'll be just like any other young adult. She's a little childish, silly and enjoys teasing others. She can be bright and joyful, enjoying the company of others, but at the same time she needs time on her own to get herself straight or she might start being a little ahead of herself and possibly become annoying. She's easily defeated by stress however and may cave in on something so little.

When Kaerin is angry, she's more likely to find someone to talk to about it, for advice rather than to make a huge tantrum. She's the type to hold everything in and try to act mature in situations. Though when she's comfortable voicing her complaints, she might pout and ignore the offender until they apologize. Forgiveness comes to Kaerin easily.

Overall, Kaerin is a introvert person, but when she feels comfortable with someone she can be a fun, silly party animal, though due to her past she may come off as a little hard to handle or stubborn maybe even brattish.

Kaerin was born in Washington D.C, being the second child of her family. Her childhood was a blur, both her parents worked and she was often left at home with her brother and the caretaker/nanny. Television was her favourite thing to pass time and her best friend was the caretaker. Primary school went by fast, Kaerin had been smart and capable, she wasn't the most popular, but she had her own circle of happiness. She had three best friends and they were always together at school, no matter what. Over time, Kaerin's life became revolved around the three other girls. Kaerin was easy-going and like to see everyone happy, so she tried her best, even out of her comfort zone to help and please her friends. Thought she didn't realise how fragile friendship was, until highschool.

Freshmen year, everyone's excited, new school, new people, new oppotunities. The four girls still stayed together though, still enjoying each other's company. Half way through the year, one of the girls moved away, she had a scholarship offered to her at a private school on the other side of the states. That girl was Kaerin's closest friend. Though the grieve of the girl moving away was soon downed by time, Kaerin still remembered her and kept in touch while the others had slowly drifted away. Though, right after that, a girl transferred in, she wasn't the most beautiful, but she was cute and likeable with everyone, soon enough she was let into Kaerin's group of friends, the one who started hanging out with her was Kaerin herself. Slowly, Rebecca made her way into everyone's hearts, everyone though very well of her and loved her, including Kaerin. Over time, Kaerin's opinion of her, however, sunk lower and lower. She wasn't grateful, she was bossy and moody. Why does it seem that everyone always looked over her negative traits? Why is it only her who sees them?

Kaerin acted everyday at school, as if she didn't mind the girl's attitude like everyone else, it was harsh. During that time, Kaerin wasn't sure about herself anymore, but she met a guy at school, he was popular and nice towards Kaerin, after a month or so, they went out. Her boyfriend wasn't the most known person at school, but he was popular for being handsome and kind. Kaerin's friends would admit very well that they were a little bit jealous. Rebecca was another issue, she had been the childhood friend of Kaerin's boyfriend, always having a crush on him, but someone he's just met for a month and they start dating? To her, it was harsh blow to her self-esteem. She had planned to leave the girl who she didn't really enjoy talking to alone and just try to gain her friends' favour, but she feels that it isn't enough, Kaerin didn't deserve all the attention she has, especially since she had not worked as hard as Rebecca to gain it.

Rebecca invited everyone in their class to hangout, eat and to karaoke. Kaerin wasn't on the list of invitees, everyone questioned, but they were told that she 'was sick and couldn't come'. The day was planned to be perfect, but they had a little misunderstanding at the place where they were meeting, so two groups waited at one place and another waited at a different place. That begun a misunderstanding which Kaerin's original friends went home and ranted to Kaerin about. Kaerin wasn't pleased that Rebecca had invited everyone except her without a reason and on top of that her friends didn't even bother telling her. Though she forgave them easily and heard all about the stories. She felt that justice was finally served, but didn't feel comfortable with Rebecca anymore at school. One of her original friends found some seniors who favoured her and wanted to hang out with her, so she was always away from the group, but another friend stayed at Kaerin's side, she was the person she trusted the most. At the same time the girl also had lots of elective classes with Rebecca, so she still acted nice infront of her to save face. Kaerin did the same only to not to be rude, but she was ignored everytime and made fun of for her kindness.

So she stoppedplaying nice. She wasn't like Rebecca telling people not to talk to Kaerin, because she finds that to be detestable and disgusting, but as rumors went, Kaerin's friends was down to one last one. She didn't mind, she liked her the best anyway, but unconciously she was under a lot of stress. She tried to overlook it, but soon she had been stuck with a deep depression. Her facade didn't help her either, she was cheerful at school, but when she was at home, some times she thought about suicide. Though no one has ignored her when she spoke to them other than Rebecca, it wasn't easy seeing everyone's faces down and showing disinterest when they spoke. During that time, a large event took place, the death of her father. He was at work when he had a sudden heart attack and died. His death made Kaerin even more depressed and since his family was mainly in Korea, his body was sent there and Kaerin's family also flew over for the funeral.

The funeral was large-scale, Kaerin's father's family and relations in Korea attended along with his connections all through asia and the states. He was truly a love-able man in Kaerin's mind. It seemed to make her more frustrated, "Everyone loved you, dad. Why did you have to leave us so early?". Amongst the crowd of the funeral, there was a boy, a few years older than Kaerin who's noticed her eyes which held back so much tears.

After the funeral, Kaerin stayed behind at her father's grave. She sat infront of it, crosslegged and cried out all her frustration. Her father died at work, she didn't even get the chance to see him one last time. Without thinking she blurted out everything on her mind, her friend, school, Rebecca, her loneliness. When she thought no one was there, she heard a voice behind her. It surprised her, because if something like this which happens in only comic books happened to her in real life, she'd wanted someone with a manlier voice, but she didn't complain.

"如果 你现在 怎么 伤心，这事情 完的时候，你一定 会 找到快乐。 (I'm sure that if you're suffering so much now, when it is all over, you'll definately find your happiness. ) " Was what he said. Those simple sentences had stopped Kaerin's tears completely. Though her Chinese was only conversational due to her mother's heritage, she understood well what the boy was trying to convey and it made her very happy. The feeling of lonelieness was completely wiped away. Afterwards, they chatted a little and got along very well, aparently he was the son of a trading partner who was very close with Kaerin's father. On that day, she promised to herself that she'll move to Korea when she graduates since her opinion of Korea was very good due to her meeting with Zitao.

"你可以叫我 'Zitao'. (You can call me Zitao. ) " repeatedly, Kaerin had flashbacks about a mysterious boy whom she fell inlove with ever since she returned to the States.

When she returned back to the states, she had an optimistic personality. She didn't mind being ignored, being along or being talked about anymore. Because at the end, she'll definately find her happiness. She broke up with her boyfriend ever since her return and stayed single until she graduated to concentrate on her grades. Though she couldn't help being upset with Rebecca's words and actions still.

On Kaerin's birthday, two weeks before she left for Korea, she held a party at a karaoke. She invited everyone and everyone who was invited came, even Rebecca and the friend who moved away at the beginning of her highschool life. It was because she knew she was leaving and wanted to leave a good, last impression. The atmosphere was beautiful, it was welcoming and warm. So, Kaerin announced that she's to attend university in Korea. Though everyone's reaction was to tell her that they'll miss her or not to go, nearing the end of the night, Kaerin went to the toilet, she was unable to controll her tears, though they put her through a lot, the happy times were not forgotten. So she silently sobbed in the toilet stall. Someone walked in, 3 girls who's voices were recognized as Rebecca, the girl who started hanging out with seniors and the girl who was Kaerin's most trusted person.

"Finally she's running away, isn't it funny since everyone's here because it's her birthday and she's paying? " The venomous words were followed by a menacing laughter. "Yeah, she going to where? Korea? Is it because no university in the states would take her? " "Yeah, yeah and she's been single for 2 years and her last boyfriend even left her for Rebecca, what a good choice. " 

That night, Kaerin attempted suicide. She was hospitalized, on her right wrist, a permanent scar. Though she was saved, she was almost at death's door and bringing her back costed her, her most teasured and precious memory. The memory of Zitao. She remembers the quote and the scenary perfectly, but when she gets to his face, she couldn't remember anymore. Though she was still fragile, she still wanted to go to Korea. She wants to remember that boy, the one who gave her strength to live.

When she was in Korea, it had been hard for her. Her language barrier was broken after a while, but it had been a harsh life for her. She had overcome her depression and tries her best to be optimistic everyday. Living in a rooftop room to herself, attending school and working for her own money. Though she was fired for many jobs for being clumsy and rude to the manager(She's not used to having so much manners coming from the states and all), she soon settled down with a job at the Gucci store in the more flourishing side of Seoul thanks to her fluency in three lanuages. Kaerin's university costs were paid by her family, but her family is not too well off either, with Kaerin's mother working alone to feed herself in the States.

Through her job, Kaerin once again met Tao, but neither of the two remembers that they've met in the past, still destiny brings them together and Kaerin starts dating Tao. Though she's still trying to find the guy who has given her hope in the past.

relationship: Together they are pretty weird, Kris being full of himself and Kaerin putting him down for being so arrogant. Kris uses whatever chances he gets to try and flirt with Kaerin, but she doesn't notice that he is, instead they might be arguing all the time over some small, but still be close friends. Though Kaerin is always bickering with Kris, they can both be very caring towards each other.
