Personality:

Kei is an artist. She can usually be found on the roof of the building sketching on her own. She is someone that most people overlook, because she does not ever try to stand out. Kei usually looks at people with an expression of mild interest. She gets along with others, but honestly does not really care. She is kind and never acts outright mean to people, but as stated, she really does not care. She is sweet and polite, but distant. This is why some call her Samuhime (cold princess). She often skips classes to go chill on the roof, but her grades are almost flawless because she is simply a genius. When she is in class, it's common to see her staring out the window from her seat next to it.If someone tries to piss her off, she usually just ignores it, because she does not like to waste her energy fighting weak people. Only if someone else tries to throw the first punch or kick or if she someone really begins to piss her off will she then fight. She is someone with hidden power and skill.

Family Background/Story:

Kei is from a middle class family. Her father and mother owned a small Chinese tea house where she often helped out. Her family is originally from Kyoto, and thus Kei frequently speaks in Kyoto-ben. Her mother is Chinese while her father is Japanese. Her mother is originally from Hong Kong, but moved to Taipei when she got out from college, and there she met Kei's father who was performing there. Her father used to be a Kabuki actor, but is now retired. Both her parents studied traditional painting (father = Japanese // mother = Chinese) and calligraphy, so they encouraged her to do so as well. Her father also taught Kei how to play the ryuteki and the shamisen. Kei and her family moved to Korea a few months ago because her mother's sister who lives here (married to a Korean man) recently had a baby and wanted more family to help take care of the baby. Her parents then started up their tea house again in Korea. Kei and Kai are working on their Korean and now are able to speak it conversationally, though they prefer Japanese or Chinese. She still goes back to Japan frequently to visit her father's family and her old friends, in particular, her best friend Tomomi aka Tomo. Over here in Korea, her best friend is her brother. They are extremely close and understand each other the best.
