My shining stars ☆

I feel sometimes just so sad when I see how people complain that their favorite groups don't get enough attention. Sure, I agree groups like U-Kiss, ZE:A, Teen Top, etc. deserve more fans and attention, but then I think about two of my favorites who get practically no attention whatsoever, and it just breaks my heart a bit. I'm talking about Supernova (Choshinsung / Choshinsei) and THE BOSS (Dae Guk Nam Ah / Daikoku Danji).

These two groups are two of my absolute favorites and two that I believe are among the absolute most talented, but their Korean fanbase is so small. In Japan, both of these groups are completely loved, and I think that is amazing. Especially since, unlike other Korean groups in Japan, they didn't ride off a wave of popularity. They had to start from the bottom and work their way up. Both of these groups are extremely talented, much more so than many other groups nowadays, but they just don't get the recognition they deserve. When I mention these two as two of my favorite Korean groups, many people have no idea who I am talking about. I mean, Supernova doesn't even have a Korean fanclub name! They have a Japanese one, though.

And what is worse, sometimes people say things like "They only went to Japan because they failed in Korea." or "They weren't good enough for Korea so they were cast off." If that's true, then why do all these Korean artists go to Japan? And why do so many of them not succeed unless they have gigantic fanbases already?! These two groups worked so hard and Japanese fans at least recognize how talented and amazing they are. And after they finally succeed somewhere, all they get is Korean anti's just because their "oppas" didn't do as well as these two who really had to start from the beginning. Both THE BOSS and Supernova are fluent in Japanese

And then, it just so happens, both of these companies have horrible Korean companies. If people remember, THE BOSS were part of Open World Entertainment and Supernova are part of Maru which is a subsidary of Core Contents Media. But honestly, their Japanese labels care way more about them anyways. Their Korean companies pretty much never gave a sh!t about them. Especially CCM towards Supernova.

That's why I want so badly for them to succeed in Korea, but sometimes I just feel like giving up. In Japan, they are actually appreciated and loved. That is what matters to me most as a fan. I love these guys so much, and they deserve so much better. They are the most underrated groups in Korea, but even so, they have managed to rise to the top on their own in Japan.

So I am always proud to be a Milkyway and Master. Forever loving Supernova and THE BOSS: my shining stars

And now just because I feel like it~

And I  love them <3

THE BOSS and Supernova:

Yoonhak, Mika, Sungje, Karam, Kwangsu, Injun, Sungmo, Hyunmin, Jihyuk, Jay, Geonil

i will totally agree with you on this.
i'm sad that Supernova don't even have a Korean fanbase name. -__-
but in the end, i'm just proud to say that these 10 boys have become fluent in Japanese because they did it on their own... well i'm sure they had help, but they didn't have help with the sort of the Hallyu wave, they did it without that. and i love that fact that the Japanese fans have appreciated and come to love them as their own... unlike a majority of the fans in Korea... and probably others around the world.
hmm others like CODE-V, SHU-I, and SMASH, too, i've come to appreciate as they too are underrated, but seem to have so much more love in Japan.
nothing much will change, but with fans like you and me, and hopefully more, will still show these groups a lot of love, and why they are still being active and haven't completely faded away.
