Things better left unsaid [Part 2]

Another complaint about fics!

I really don't appreciate when fics use words like "oppa" and "jagiya" in them. Sorry, I just don't.

It seems so cheesy and pointless to me, especially since the reader may not actually be the main character's "dongsaeng."

What bothers me is when I see "oppa" being used in stories that revolve around Exo-M's Chinese characters. Hello? They're not Korean and, from what I've gathered, neither are a lot of the readers on AFF so what's the point in using korean words like "oppa"?

Sure, I understand it sounds cute and if your boyfriend or whatever were actually Korean and older than you then you would actually refer to him as "oppa" but I don't know, I guess I really prefer alternate universe stories that makes the "you" character and main character equals. Something with a normal serious relationship as opposed to a syrupy, childish one.

I guess this relates to the author's style (like in my last blog post). I'm really picky about writing styles—I always appreciate the well-written and serious stories that sound like they could have come out of a book rather than the cheesy stories that sound like they are being told by little girls on the playground.

Although I sometimes let words like "jagiya" and "oppa" slide I really hate when writers keep using TONS of regular Korean words in their fics like "mwoh?", "aniyo", "annyeonghasseyo", etc. I feel like a story could sound so much stronger with a consistent flow of the same language. When you switch back and forth between English and Korean it leaves me feeling dumbfounded.

Sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone but this is just my story preference :/
