Personality:
Jihye was never a hyper or energetic person. When other children would run around, she would sit inside playing guitar or sketching. I guess you could call her artsy, but a better way to describe her is mellow. It seems like no matter where she is or who she's with, she is always calm and smiling softly. Jihye is the type of person who doesn't like to stand out and be in front, but rather stand behind and push others forward. It isn't really that she's shy, just that she likes to see others in the limelight more than she does herself. She believes that if those around her succeed, she has done what she needs to do. She's like the caring sister who is always there to help others out when they need it. She isn't a saint or perfect or anything, and Jihye knows that better than anyone else, but she wants to try. She's seen a lot in her life, and she just wants to do what she can to help others and to find where she belongs.
Jihye is someone who notices everything mostly because she's always sitting back observing or listening. She understands others better than anyone else, and can read people like a book. Her perceptiveness tends to amaze other people because sometimes she can tell how a person is feeling or what he is thinking better than he can. It comes from always having been the "wallflower" or the one being ranted to rather than the one ranting. She isn't really confident with expressing herself fully, so she prefers to be there to support others. She really tries though to do the best she can in whatever she does.
Often, it's easy to find her sitting by herself writing or playing music while thinking, because music is her escape and her way to express herself. She also loves reading, and it is rare to find her without a book on her. Her love for reading and writing was actually the origin of her love for song writing, because she started of writing poetry, and at a friend's recommendation, began writing music. Jihye is in essence a peaceful person. She lives life how she wants and just tries to do her best. She doesn't need to be at the center. All she wants is to hopefully support others to achieve their goals, and hopefully inspire others to aim for their dreams.
Background:
Jihye was born in Gwangju to a fairly normal family. Her father is Japanese, while her mother is Korean, and she has one younger brother. When she was five, her family moved from Gwangju to Osaka, Japan, because of her father's job as a hotel manager. She then grew up in Osaka, and considers it more of her hometown than Gwangju, though she often went back to visit. Growing up in Osaka, the loud bustling hilariously energetic city, it would be expected that Jihye or Kei, as she was better known by, would have turned out just as crazy like the members of one of Kei's favorite j-pop groups Kanjani8. And yet, she grew up as a sweet but not very exciting child. She lived a normal life, going to school, hanging out with friends, and of course, always playing music. Life was life, and she wouldn't have had it any other way.

She began song writing as well, eventually, and it was actually her brother who recommended that she try to submit some of her songs to a company, and hopefully become a songwriter. When there, people thought she was auditioning to become a trainee, but she told them she wasn't. Still though, after she played one of her songs, and began singing along, they thought they needed to get her to become one. Relationship with your character: Hideki and Kei get along very well because their personalities are very similar. Being around the two is the most peaceful atmosphere one can be in.
