Clothing style: one two three four five six - Jinshil's style is entirely frumpy. She wears oversized clothes and covers her entire body to hide her slightly chubby physique. Most of her closet consists of oversized sweaters and bulky jackets. Even when it's hot outside, she throws on long sleeves and covers her legs with stockings, leggings, or long socks. (I hope you don't mind that I used pictures of the ulzzang again because her style in all 984593 of these photos is exactly what I picture the character wearing!)

Personality: Jinshil is both high-strung and clumsy, a combination that makes her prone to spilling drinks and dropping books when even a harmless voice calls out to her in the halls. She is always surrounded by an air of anxiety and nervousness as if constantly looking over her shoulder to make sure no one is out to get her. She gets exceptionally jittery on days when her lectures revolve around death and plague. She's easily spooked and very jumpy--and that's BEFORE she knows that a killer is locked down on campus with her. Afterwards, she would be on highest alert and would let her guard down to absolutely no strangers.

Jinshil is very self-conscious, always worrying about the judgments of other people. Because of her weight gain and slight chubbiness, she bundles herself up and tries to hide as much of herself as possible. This manifests not only in her baggy, oversized clothing, but also her reservation towards other people. She doesn't become close to many people at all because of her hesitation to even attempt friendship. She fears that she'll be judged and mocked by others without any rational reasoning. It doesn't help that she's naturally shy and introverted.

Past the skittish outer layer is a kind, soft-spoken, and helpful teacher. She does her best to aid students when needed, and is perhaps overly understanding when it comes to missed and late assignments. Because of this, she's an easily manipulated pushover. Still, she prefers to put on a warm face for others and does her best to be friendly despite her reservations. Towards the people she is comfortable around, she's curious, easily impressed, and never stops smiling. She's a selfless and giving individual who would rather do something for the benefit of another than for herself.

Due to both her skittish disposition and her gentleness, she is quite emotionally fragile. That is, she is quite sensitive and will easily cry when her emotions get the better of her. This side of her mostly comes out when she gets scared or is pranked. That isn't to say she's a crybaby who sheds tears at every opportunity. Rather, when she has a reason to cry, she can't and won't hold it in.

Background: Jinshil grew up in Seoul, South Korea with her father, mother, and older brother. When Jinshil was a child of ten years old, she had an incident in which she was almost kidnapped. While walking home from school one day, she was grabbed by a man who then proceeded to forcefully try to pull her into his car. Jinshil was a shy child before the incident, but after it, she evolved into a jittery, nervous wreck and became much more reserved than before. In her first year of university, she began dating No Minwoo and tried her best to hide her anxious side from him. He dumped her before the school year ended, and afterwards, she became withdrawn from dating, stared wearing baggier clothes, and gained weight.

• Son Minsik [57] - Jinshil's father. Jinshil's father is a strict, straight-laced business man. She gets along with him, but the two aren't particularly close.
• Son Jihye (née Kwon Jihye) [55] - Jinshil's mother. Jinshil's mother is a warm, caring individual, probably where Jinshil gets that side of herself from. She's quite close with Jinshil.
• Son Jihoon [28] - Jinshil's older brother. They have a strictly sibling relationship; that is to say, they're not particularly close but they don't dislike each other. He takes more after their father, but isn't nearly as serious.

Friends

• Kim Min Jong [41] - Min Jong is a fellow professor in the history department. Their friendship is strictly professional. They are friends in the workplace but never communicate outside of the university. Min Jong is definitely the history professor she is closest to, but they aren't exactly what you would call best friends. They get along well and she goes to him for advice when she needs it.
• No Min Jun (jolove02's character) [24] - Min Jun calls Jinshil his Nervous Noona. He originally became friends with her when she dated his brother, No Min Woo. Despite the fact that his brother dumped Jinshil, he remains friends with her. He wants to coax her out of her shell, so he tends to invite her out for coffee where she unsurprisingly tends to spill coffee on herself 9 times out of 10. He has a calming effect on her. He's sweet but disorganized, so she tends to help him keep organized.

Personality:

• Lay / Zhang Yixing - Lay has a strange personality. You might as well converse with a brick wall. He leaves you with an awkward feeling. When it comes to performance, such as dancing or even just speaking in front of the class or giving an answer when called on, he's fiercely confident in himself. However, when it comes to socializing one on one with those he's not very familiar with, he seems to get scared and not know how to react, so he doesn't. You could say something to him and merely get an awkward stare in return. He's quiet and unassuming, almost coming off as disinterested. However, with his close friends, he's more open and is unintentionally funny; he doesn't intend to make jokes and doesn't see what's so funny, but he leaves his friends laughing anyways.
• Kris / Wu Fan - Kris is quite popular among female students, but he doesn't seem to reciprocate any of the interest. To those who don't know him, he comes across as stoic and unreadable, and his face is very much a closed book. He is unintentionally cool but doesn't seem to understand why others see him that way. In reality, he's a kind person who cares a lot for others. He looks after others well; it's innate in his personality. He's generally quite serious, but that's not to say he never smiles or laughs. He has a major soft spot for cute things and likes giving his friends cute nicknames.
• Suho / Kim Joonmyun - When Suho isn't smiling (which is rare), he looks a little intimidating. However, say anything to him at all, and he'll quickly open up into a huge grin. He is almost constantly smiling, and his smile is bashful and adorable. He is a caring big brother type, and is definitely the type to take care of others. He can be a little awkward in his bashfulness, but he's very endearing and sweet.

Type of relationship:

• Lay / Zhang Yixing - Lay is not very studious and history is not his strong point, so he hires Jinshil to tutor him. Lay and Jinshil are quite an awkward pairing. Initially, Lay was incredibly awkward when speaking with her one on one. Jinshil, being shy, really didn't know how to fill the lapses in their conversations. In reality, his extra awkward behavior partially stemmed from the fact that he unexpectedly found her attractive, which Jinshil seemed to be oblivious to. Jinshil eventually had the chance to see him perform (being a Dance major) and became intrigued by the fierce persona he exuded while dancing. When Lay realized she was making more of an effort to talk to him, he started to open up to her and show her the funny, light-hearted side his friends know, although he still has plenty of awkward, shy moments with her. At this point, they both know they like each other and want a relationship, but neither of them says it yet, perhaps because of the age difference and the fact that she is his tutor.
• Kris / Wu Fan - Jinshil takes a quick liking to Kris because of his quietness and the calming aura surrounding him. She finds him to be someone she can easily let her guard down around. Over the semester, she realizes her admiration for Kris is as more than a student, and feels that the crush she develops on him is inappropriate because he is her pupil. Despite not usually being particularly interested in girls, Kris feels protective of his professor because of how skittish and jittery she is and the fact that she is often teased by his fellow students. The two develop a pupil/teacher friendship, but both of them end up realizing they secretly want more.
• Suho / Kim Joonmyun - Suho was a student of Jinshil's in the previous semester. Over the course of the semester, he developed a crush on her, finding her offbeat demeanor endearing. Since he was her student at the time and is quite shy to boot, he didn't share his feelings with her outright, instead making extra effort to talk to her after class under the ruse of needing more help. When the semester ended, he regretted not being able to tell her how he felt. When he eventually saw her again in the current semester, he mustered the courage to ask her out. Despite her reservations with men and dating (and the fact that he was her student in the past), she decided to give him a chance because of his cute, approachable disposition. They are at the very beginning stages of dating.

How do you act around her/him:

• Lay / Zhang Yixing - Jinshil trusts Lay and shows him the compassionate, easygoing side of herself. She is easily impressed by him (particularly his dancing), and encourages him a lot. She is easily amused by him as well, laughing easily at most things he says. She does her best to make him comfortable in conversations with her.
• Kris / Wu Fan - Kris has a calming effect on Jinshil, so when he's near she becomes considerably less skittish. She is still incredibly shy and apprehensive with him.
• Suho / Kim Joonmyun - Because Joonmyun is so awkwardly bashful, Jinshil is almost the more assertive one. She tends to be the one who leads the conversations. He doesn't exactly make her feel less spookish though.

How does s/he act around you:

• Lay / Zhang Yixing - Lay opened up more to Jinshil after realizing she returned his feelings. Lay now shows her the sides of himself his friends know--the unintentionally funny guy underneath. He still has his moments of extreme awkwardness where he doesn't quite know what to say. Awkward moments also tend to pop up when he tries to make her laugh; for some reason, he can never do it intentionally.
• Kris / Wu Fan - His judgmental face disappears around Jinshil, and he has a calm, gentle look about him instead. He's caring and curious about every aspect of her, and wants to take care of her or protect her.
• Suho / Kim Joonmyun - Around Jinshil, Suho is a fountain overflowing with awkward smiles and shy exchanges. He's somewhat clumsy and bumbling, but she finds it endearing.

Anything I’ve missed: OTL I hope it wasn't too long! This was quite a fun app to fill out to be honest. I hope the "almost kidnapping" didn't come across as cliché. I really wanted a reason for her to be such a skittish character but I didn't want her to have an "I was and my whole family was killed" sob story. =o= My friend (jolove02) suggested I make my app intertwined with hers (No Min Jun).
