When you first met him, you might see him as a calm and cold person. But that doesn't mean that he's a cold person, he's not. Once you can get closer to him, you would find a warm and friendly person inside him. Childhood background:

He was born in Seoul, 21 years ago. He is an only child, but that doesn't mean that he's spoiled by his parents as a child. They always taught him the value of hard working and always said that if you want to have something, you have to earn it, thus it made him an independent boy growing up. Having both parents that worked in the educational world, he was raised in highly intellectual environment. His Parents, expecially his dad wanted him to become a doctor or architect, but he opposed it. He knew that he is talented in singing and dancing, thus it made him want to become an idol. But he felt that he was not going anywhere in DSP so he went to audition to SM Entertainment. He got accepted there and immediately transfer to the company. His life at SM was different than in DSP because the competition was so much tougher in SM. His trainee days were tough, but his determination and passion for his dream helped him get through the tough days of training. He gained some really good friends in SM that also help him went through the bad times in his trainee days.
