So I have a question, from one fanfiction writer to another….

(Well, first, a quick digression: This is the power of the Hallyu wave! Even though this site is supposed to be dedicated to Asian fanfiction in general, like 99.9% of the fanfics I’ve seen here is K-pop-star related XD. Okay end digression.)

Though I’m sure things didn’t start out this way, with the growth of the community more and more varieties of “fanfiction” have come about. For instance, review shops, graphics services, parodies, tutorials, and just about anything you can write about, Asian-star related or not, has appeared on this site. (Isn’t it kind of interesting? I love observing these social trends lolol)

So then along those lines, what’s your opinion on posting an unrelated-to-idol-star story here? Like I’ve seen anime fanfiction on this site, which I thought was kind of funny since there’s already a huge site dedicated to that (fanfiction.net, if I’m not mistaken). Personally I’m not an anime-fanfic writer, but say if I wanted to write a story that was inspired by anime/ contains solely OCs and has no idol stars/ etc., would that still be too weird/uninvited to post here? I don’t feel like making multiple accounts on multiple sites just to cater to each community’s reading/writing preferences LOL. But at the same time, I feel like the only way I could “legally” post those kinds of stories on this site is if I make it a “you/your bias” story. Not that I have anything against those, but since we’re all here because we love to read/write/ have unfulfilled fantasies/have no lives/ LOL whatever, I don’t want to change my initial purpose of writing or original intended story just to make it more mainstream, you know?

Okay now I’m just rambling. Basically, to put it succinctly, what’s your opinion on seeing (fan)fiction that may not be strictly idol-star related on this site? Welcome it? Or perhaps take it somewhere else?
