This is a great question and to answer this, I’d like you to sit back and read carefully what I’m about to respond:

I’ve never personally believed that love will bring absolute happiness. It brings sweetness and joy, for sure, but love isn’t just about the good times… it’s also about the bad. I guess I’m projecting this sentiment through my graphics but in my opinion, this type of reasoning is exactly how I see this couple would be:

Obviously I adore Changmin and Yoona as individuals and as a couple, but in reality - I would think that theirs would be a relationship that would quite hard to maintain even if they do love each other from here and beyond. They are both too alike and too different in many ways (like all couples) and perhaps that’s why I’ve decided to take on a more realistic approach in identifying them as a pairing.

I would think that if they were a couple… Changmin and Yoona would always be trying to prove their love for the other in a multitude of ways. They would be apart all the time and would probably constantly feel insecure whenever one of them (or both) are linked to everyone else in the world but each other. Relationships in the Idol world isn’t all perfect, and even some of the most beautiful and long-standing ones, like Se7en and Park HanByul’s, go through hiccups along the way. I’m not entirely saying that there’s no possibility that Changmin and Yoona would ever get together but I want to keep in touch with this world. And in reality, the chances are rather slim.

Yuri (douc@LJ) and I have always had the same idea of how Changmin/Yoona would be as a couple. They would be the couple who don’t show affection publicly (or ever). The couple that would call just to hear the other person’s voice and be fine with the silence. The couple who would catch each other’s eyes from across a room and be content that even if things might not work out or are difficult — they will always have a part of each other forever.

It won’t be a very happy love but love all the same.

Regardless, I still want their happily ever afters. Together (or not).
