Block B, 2pm, and Dongho. Whole Story.

I think everyone already knew about the Block B vs 2PM thingy with a touch of DongHo. Buthere is what I think the whole story is: (credits to: the owner)

The Intro:

Block B went to Thailand and their behavior during interview.

The seven-member boy band's January 30 show at the LED club on RCA was a success, but their YouTube-bound interview was quite the opposite.

It began with one of the boys, Zico, turning around and inviting the press to address the first question to his . Another of the singers sprawled out on a sofa with his feet pointed at the camera.

Someone asked the boys if they'd heard about the horrific flooding in Thailand. Zico said they had and that he hoped the money donated would help heal the hurt. Then he turned to the other guys and said, "All we have is money - how much, 7,000?" and everyone broke up laughing.

Results:

Thais are offended.

The Thai fans' shock was augmented by Korean fans' dismay. They too vented online, many apologising on their country's behalf. One such apology on YouTube drew nearly 8,000 comments.

BBCs to the rescue.

Die-hard Block B fans keep the debate rolling, though, with one arguing on Twitter that the lads were "just being themselves rather than hypocrites, and that's what I like about them".

Nichkhun and Junho’s tweets.

Nichkhun tweeted, "As a Thai person I feel offended by those who speak about the Thailand floods without thinking. Also instead of coming to Thailand and acting mindlessly, please respect the country’s manners, and only act in a proper way."

Real Junho Lee of 2PM chimed in, saying he felt ashamed as a Korean. "I beg them to consider the consequences, and I say this as a human and a senior."

My Dear DongHo joined. -_-

On February 20, Dong Ho wrote, “An artist worth 7,000 won.” It was in reference to Block B’s comment during their interview with Thai media, where Block B’s leader Zico was quoted as saying, "We wish financial rewards could help healing people's damaged hearts, because all we got is money. About 7000 won?"

Block B received death threats.

They group received death threats and as well as their families’ doorsteps and friends. Some crazy fans inhumanely asked death petition and disband petition for the group.

Now:

Nichkhun had it under control.

After igniting a slew of twitter comments criticizing Block B’s Zico for his insensitive and disrespectful remarks during a recent interview,2PM’s Nichkhun updated his Twitter with a much more encouraging and peaceful comment.

He wrote, “Please, don’t say things like ‘wish someone would die’ but hope they would learn. Like we all do, like I did from my own mistakes.” It was in obvious reference to Zico’s recent interview, and the nasty netizen comments that followed, criticizing Zico and his behavior as something that deserves “death.”

Nichkhun, who was the first to voice his displeasure over Zico’s interview, took things under control as public criticism on Zico and the entire Block B group seemed to grow out of hands. In particular, Zico, a much younger “hoobae” artist has been receiving countless negative comments from netizens, including death threats, which made Nichkhun to step up and calm down the situation.

DongHo who butted in (it’s not your business, honey) apologized.

However, shortly after the tweet, netizens advised Dong Ho to take down the message, as it would only make things worse for Block B, who’s already released an official apology for their comments. Dong Ho later tweeted, “I think I tweeted without thinking too deeply. I’ll be more careful moving forward,” and deleted his previous post.

Zico, as to show his remorse, shaved his head.

Additionally, the group's leader, Zico, shaved his head to show their remorse.

They officially and sincerely apologized to everyone.

P.O.
I apologize for our hurtful behavior and attitudes to all Thai fans and South Koreans who have given us much love.
I apologize for our childish and unreasonable behavior throughout the entire interview.
It was an due to our not clearly distinguishing the line of freedom and reasonable. Again I apologize to Thai people and fans.
We will deeply reflect upon our mistake and for damaging the national image and image of artists.
I deeply apologize for our unreasonable behavior that we have shown.
We will work hard to show a mature image. Learning from this incident we will more conscientious and responsible as South Korean artist.

Zico
I deeply apologize for my unreasonable behavior and causing a controversy due to my childish behavior and not thinking of the great pain and suffering that Thai people have experienced due to the flood damage.
No as an adult I feel more ashamed of my ignorant comment. I believe we are without excuse for our behavior during the interview, sitting cross-legged on the sofa, chatting with other members, damaging South Korea’s image in Thailand.
I sincerely apologize for our actions.
I apologize for our inconsiderate interview, causing injury to a not yet healed scar. I am sorry.

U-Kwon
We are ashamed for our inconsiderate interview in Thailand. We apologize to all the Thai people that have suffered large damages due to the flood.
We apologize to Koreans for damaging Korea’s image due to our inconsiderate behavior.
Reviewing the interview clips, we deeply regret our actions.
We apologize once again and Block B will mature to prevent such actions from repeating again.

B-Bomb
First of all I wish to apologize from the bottom of my heart.
Apart from being a public figure, as the oldest of the group I apologize for not restricting the behavior of fellow members and for creating controversy based on simple manners.
As a Korean we should have shown more respect and manners. We apologize again for disappointing our fans and Thai people with our inconsiderate behavior.
We apologize once again. We will improve as to not those mistakes again.

Taeil
First if all I would like to say I’m sorry.
I believe that even before this interview, people have mentioned that Block B seems too free-spirited. Also it seems that we haven’t listened well to the criticism despite being a public figure. I believe all of our members acted foolishly.
When I replayed the video of our interview, I saw full of shame thinking those people on the video is us. I really understand those who were saying that we put Koreans to shame.
I apologize again for my actions and fellow members for not paying attention to the interview.
We will work harder to repay with better music. I wish to apologize again to everyone.

Kyung
Hello, this is Block B’s Park Kyung.
There are no other words than to say sorry.
At this point whatever we say will seem like an excuse.
We are ashamed of our ignorant and immature behavior throughout the interview.

Jaehyo
We sincerely apologize to the Thai people.
We apologize also to Koreans for damaging the country’s image.
We apologize for the lack of respect and thoughtless behavior that we have shown.
I feel ashamed and embarrassed when watching the video.
We are deeply reflecting on our actions to prevent the same mistake from happening again.
We apologize once again.

They are back and suspended.

However, the group was under the spotlight once again for appearing in a live broadcast of MBC MUSIC’sShow Champion” only a day after its official apology.

During the show, the members of Block B remained silent throughout, focusing on performing their best. Instead of covering his shaved head, Zico bravely faced the audience and cameras.  After this performance, Block B bowed 90 degrees to the audience and silently stepped out.

A representative of BrandNew Stardom Entertainment stated, “After the controversy, the members and the people in the company had a long and heartfelt talk. We decided that the only thing Block B can do at this point is to show the public that the members are working even harder than before. As a rookie group, to suspend activities only after two weeks of its comeback is the same thing as a death sentence. We believed that if the members were to stop their activities, they may never get another chance to stand before the public, and so we made the difficult decision [to continue].”

What I want to happen:

…..Thais will forgive them as well as everybody affected. PEACE.

My opinion:

OMDH! What? Death threats? Are you even human? >.> Death petition? Think guys, you deserve those bashes more than Block B. Don’t you think everybody is a little bit overreacting? Okay okay. So what is my opinion regarding the story? Zico did a wrong move, yes. But i could tell that he didn't mean it. I love Block B (and also dongho, talk about that later) and i respect Thailand but i hope people will not take it as a big deal ang forgive Zico. As for Block B, they should think before they talk or maybe just keep their mouth shut. they should also learn how to behave properly during interviews. I know you are dorky but don't go overboard. Anyway, Thai people and Nichkhun, everybody deserves second chances right? Our Zico is also imperfect, we all know that we are too so i hope things will get straighten up. I'm sorry for the Thai people and please don't make a great deal out of it and make the issue big. I understand your part and i will say sorry on behalf with them or along with Block B. Peace people! no more rivalry and war, okay?

I feel bad for what happened but look at their reactions on the video. Don't they seem so sincere? I even think Zico is sobbing. :'( I hate it when block b, once happy and dorky, now sad and lonely. FORGIVENESS, i beg you. Please stop those hurtful thinngs you are currently doing to torture Block B's conscience. They already admitted their mistakes so stop. :( OMDH i'm so affected. X(

SORRY THAILAND....

CHEER UP BLOCK B......

DONGHO, BACK OFF CAUSE YOUR BUSINESS IS ONLY ME, YOUR WIFE! XD LOL JK.

SRS, LET'S MAKE PEACE EVERYONE.

Kyung asked Zico' how much do you have left?' which meant how much he has left from pocket/wallet because they already donated fir the flood thing before the interview. Zico re-asked saying 'What?' and Kyung said 'How much do you have now?' again and Zico said '7000won' and the members started laughing of Zico being poor not the flood. I hope this issue dies down soon, it hurts me to see p.o at hospital :( and next time hope they make the issue which was from that 'DATE' not a months old one. Seriously if it was going to be this serious why go on it now? -.- BLOCKB HWAITING!!

Seriously, when will this issue stop? And how the hell did Dongho get into this (it clearly doesn't have anything to do with him O-O)?

First of all, they're not being hypocrites. I admit that when I saw their interview video, I was disappointed at their actions. But they're still new to the scene; they don't have that 'charm' like the other K-bands who already made it big even before Block B debuted (say Super Junior or 2PM). Can't the Thais at least accept their apology? I read some of the comments online regarding their apology video, and there were people who were saying that they're still jerks. Though I agree that it was a bit shallow of them to only post a video saying sorry, but what the heck,

AT LEAST THEY APOLOGIZED AND I'M DAMN PROUD OF THEM.

The people giving negative comments are the ones who are hypocrites. If they were in our position, say their favorite band also did something wrong and we criticize them, wouldn't they defend their idols? It's a no win-no win situation for both camps. :P

Basically, everyone is at fault. I'm not trying to side with Block B; I'm just pointing out why I find this issue TOTALLY DEMORALIZING. Just.. pathetic. Even 'pathetic' is an understatement. Ugh.

P.S. Sorry for the long post. :|

They're learning from their own mistake *O* And it made me sad seeing Jaehyo couldn't even lift his head when they apologized in the video T__T

I understand Nickhun because even me, I'll get mad if someone act like that in my country, I admit their attitude in that interview was very nasty but i understand that its because of their childish attitude. I just hope that Thais will forgive them.

(I'm really confuse on how Dong ho became involved in this o.O Its not even his business xD)
