Personality

Miah is a soft soul with a hart for good. She hates to see people hurt, it all but physically pains her to watch people in pain. She hopes that there is good in everyone and acts like they are good until they show their inevitable bad side. She is the kind to let others take the spotlight and does not know what to do with herself when she is. Once she warms up to people, which is very very rare, she has a lovable personality. She wants to help those she cares about but she often can't get herself to
Miah does not show her hand, she keeps everything to herself, growing up it was too dangerous to show them so now she all but cant. She does everything she can do to not get involved with people and to not get close to anyone. When people yell or show their upset with her she has a habit of freezing in the spot, kind of waiting for the blow to land. She flinches away from fast moving objects and does not like being around large men.

Background

The Nu family is known for a few things but being one of the most violent and harsh gangs running half of South Korea and expanding into Japan is one of them. No one goes against them, they give no quarry, and they are not afraid of spilling blood, even their own. 
Nu Chunso has been leading the Nu Omen’s since he was 17, when he had his older brother killed so he could take over. Over the past 41 years he has held the area in an iron fist, the only time he held back was when he was courting and in the honeymoon phase with his wife, besides that there has never been anything stopping him from his control. 

The night Nara was born there was a fight and not a nice one. One of the uppers tried to kill the Nu family and take over but that was not going to happen, the loyalty to Chunso was too deep. Instead, the traitor was killed alongside his entire family. Chunso thought that was going to mean that his daughter was going to step right into the life, she was born into it, literally. It was the exact opposite though, over the years Nara was nothing but a thorn to him. She was kind, soft and never listened to any of his orders. More than once he had to have his enforcers get her to obey. 
Nara doesn’t remember the first time she saw death but it was just part of her life, she never made friends because they might die and she didn’t like most of the people around her. They didn’t like her either, if she had been anyone besides a Nu, she would have been gone years ago but there was nothing they could do. Her mother was the only one who wasn’t disappointed in her but she still hoped that Nara would step into her role someday. 
As a young girl Nara would have to sit in on every killing her father ordered, in hopes to toughen her up, but it always did the opposite. His enforcers would physically hold her in place to make sure she watched and they were never kind about it, it was always the same two enforcers as well, Minjae and Yejun, they were huge, mean and liked when they could be mean to Nara. More often than not they would toss her towards the body, leaving her covered in blood and panicking to get out of the room, which was always locked. It was another tactic her father hoped would help but it never did. 
Her tutors were instructed to teach her about all the brutalities about human history and in-depth anatomy, as well as the best way to injure people. She hated the lessons and often tried to get out of them, which prompted her father to have Minjae and Yejun to drag, sometimes literally, to her lessons. They would chain her to the desk and leave her there until she would finish her work, even if it took days. 
She cut into a human body for the first time when she was nine, he had messed up with Chunso so he was to be used to try to reach Nara. When she couldn’t do it, her father ordered Minjae and Yejun to beat her. She had pushed him too far and he could not have weakness in his family, if violence was the only way to get to her then so be it. They ended up breaking four of her ribs and her wrist but she still couldn’t cut into the man. Her father ordered her locked into her room and left there, she was there for four days with no food or water and it took her mother killing one of the guards to get into the room for her to get the aid she needed. 
Beating often became a thing for Nara when she wouldn’t listen to her father but when she was 14, he tried changing things again. Her two brothers Taekyuk, 19, and Ilseong, 17, were to be the ones to teach her a lesson. It was a test for the boys as much as a punishment for her, up until then her brothers were partially on her side but from then on, she only had her mother in her corner. 
It was around that time that her mother’s health started taking a turn. She was never weak or showed it to anyone but her immediate family but she had been fighting illness for some time. Her father was always able to afford the best care for her but even medicine was failing. She made it a few more months before passing and that set Chunso on a murder streak. Unfortunately, Nara fell into his rage path. He personally beat her, blaming her for her mother's illness and death, insisting that if they had never had her that her mother would still be around. As far as he was concerned, he didn’t have a daughter, she was not a Nu anymore, she had no role in his life and she no longer had any of his protection anymore. He did not want her. 
Her brothers were able to protect her for a few months but even their influence couldn’t over shadow their father’s. Minjae and Yejun had remained assigned to Nara so when they heard she had lost all of her family protection they decided they were going to take their own piece out of her. People in the house heard her screaming but because Chunso abandoned her they did nothing, they couldn’t do anything. 
It took days for her to get the courage to run away. She went south to Jeju but they found her almost right away, Minjae and Yejun again. Apparently, even though her father didn’t want her she still didn’t have permission to leave. On top of that her father told Minjae and Yejun they had permission to punish Nara however they felt fit.
She was tied to a bed and food and water was brought to her once a day, the only other human interaction she had was with Minjae and Yejun, they would come in as they please to do as they pleased. Nara found Yejun had a liking for blades, the larger the better. Minjae was just plain mean, he liked to hurt people in any way, luckily for Nara he was still an enforcer so he often had to do other things for Chunso. 
Nara didn’t know how much time had passed but one night someone came in out of scheduled and started untying her. They half dragged, half carried her out of the building and to a car where he drove for what seemed like hours before stopping at a train station. She had regained enough consciousness to realized it was her brother Taekyuk. He handed her clean clothes, a backpack, duffle bag and a large envelope. He told her to disappear and to keep her head down, that he would look for her sometime in the future, go north and disappear. 
She did. She went to Incheon first but couldn’t find anywhere she was comfortable with, that is until she found Letalis apartments. She had plenty of money thanks to her brother but she didn’t want to use it. She lied on her application on almost everything but it was accepted and she moved it. She had all but nothing but at least she had a door she could lock and feel safe behind. 
Turns out the café in her building was hiring as well so she was able to start working there and hardly had to go outside at all. She started building up her property with her own money, she left most of her brothers money in a safe in her closet where she wouldn’t even see it

Nu Chunso, father, her father disowned her completly and wants nothing to do with her except keep her from her freedom
Nu Taena, mother, her mother was the last person she thought she had in her courner but when she died the last bit of hope left as well
Nu Taekyuk, brother, Nara always thought her brother was cut from the same material as her father but when he helped her get out everything changed
Nu Ilseong, brother, turns out it was Ilseong that was cut from the same material as their father. He was the one that didnt care about any of the brutality given to Nara or how she was treated. If she wanted to to stop then she should have just done what she was asked

Kwon Minjae, Nara is afraid of Minjae but half the time he seemed so blaze about hurting her. It was just a job and nothing else
Kwak Yejun, saying Nara is terrified of Yejun is an undersatment. He was the worst one, he was the one that seemed to enjoy hurting her, he was the one that wanted to hurt her

Song Hyerin, despite Miah trying to push Hyerin away the girl refuses to leave Miah alone. Even though Miah told everyone she was 19 Hyerin seemed to sense she was a younger soul or something
Choi Seulhwa, at first she was stern on Miah but started seeing the pain in the young girl. She knows something is wrong with Miah but she isnt going to push. she does her best to make Miah feel safe
Song Moonsoo, for some reason Miah feels at ease around Moon. She does her best to not start to trust him but she is, she likes talking to her older

Typical Schedule

0700: wake up
Miah usually takes a while to wake up, she likes to lay in bed for while before actually starting the day
0800: Breakfast and shower
Miah never needed to cook for herself so she is not a good cook at all. She usually just has rice for breakfast, which she starts and it cooks when she showers and by the time she is done it is ready.
0930: Cafe
While her shift's dont start until 10, Miah still likes to get to work early so she can get ready, mentally.
1000: work
1500: off
Miah wishes her shifts were longer but they only needed part time assistance.
After work she goes back to her apartment to watch tv or to read. She doesnt like going out if she can avoid it, she doesn't want someone to see her.

Miah bought everything used to save on money but she really wanted her home to be cozy, like she saw in movies. Her living room is her favorite room, its like a movie theatre with her own popcorn machine. She has plants scattered around her apartment, some even on the windows, she is finding she likes plants. Her apartment is very young adult with money vibes. She has a large floor to ceiling bookshelf in her bedroom

About Letalis

Miah had never heard of Letalis before so she didnt know about the rumors about it. It just looked like a regular apartment building to her. 
Once she signed a lease and started living there she started realizing things were not normal there
She is civil with the other tennants but she doesnt really talk to them much. She talks to Moonsoo the most because they are neighbors. She does her best to stick to herself when she can though

Miah works in the cafe so she doesnt really have to leave the building at all and she does her best to not leave. She has a nice system in her living room so it feels like a movie theatre rather than a apartment

Miah makes her own food about half the time and when she does order food she orders it to apartment 4C, the empty apartment next to her. She orders anything she needs like groceries or toiletries

Miah is working one day when she sees Yejun walk past the window. It might have been him, it might not have been but it was enough that was to send her running from the cafe. She went up to her floor as fast as she could and when she got up there she swore she could hear people behind her. She didn't think but Moonsoo was walking out of his apartment and she snuck around him and dove into his bathroom. He was stunned but soon she heard the door to the stairs open and voices. Nara didnt hear exactly what was said but eventually Moonsoo opened his bathroom door to find her in the shower curled tightly in a ball. He told her it was safe to come out
