A very caring person who gets concerned when he notices that someone is in distress. He approaches them and asks what the problem is and if they want to talk about it since there are people who just want to stay silent for the mean time before they would actually open up, Kunwoo won't force them to spill the beans but he will comfort them by giving calming and inspiring words even if he has no idea what that person is going through. If they do decide to open up, he'll listen attentively and give his own advice as to what that person should do, Kunwoo always tells them that they don't have to follow his advice since it doesn't always work for everybody but they feel touched that he was able to give them some words no matter how few to help them with their issue. Hugs are always welcome if the person wants to.

 

He is quite the playful guy. He really likes games and outdoor/indoor activities since he spent majority of his childhood playing in the park with his friends. He doesn't take everything too seriously and is pretty calm under pressuring situations. He'd openly express his amusement when he sees something that excites him or something he finds fun by saying things like "Oh that's nice!" while giving a thumbs up. He plays around with his words and speaks in different and funny tones towards his friends just so he acts really silly. It amuses his friends that he can make his voice sound different by adjusting his own pitch and adding some accents. He used this to mimic other people to entertain his friends.

 

With Kunwoo, you shall not fear being judged. He doesn’t say immediately jump to conclusions nor does he judge someone right after he has met them. He knows better than to do so as he himself has seen many people do the same thing and missed so many opportunities to actually interact with the people they’ve judged so quickly. He is the go-to person if ever you need help with a problem as he will be there to listen, weigh, consider, alchemize, and point the way toward solutions. So, go ahead and introduce things to him because he’d be willing to give it a try and see for himself how he’d feel about it.

 

Kunwoo is this ball of sunshine plus added sugar. He is such a cheerful person and it makes people feel so calm, relaxed, and happy just being around him. He loves telling puns and jokes even if they cringeworthy or can actually get some laughs out of people. He generally loves meeting new people and making friends to add to his ever-expanding circle of friends. He is a person you can have a good chat with since he loves talking and sharing his opinions as well as hearing those of others. He can never keep still and always needs at least one part of his body moving. He'd be wiggling in his seat, spinning his ball pen on his fingers, tapping his foot while in line, and you get the point, he just has to have at least one body part moving at all times.

 

One of the most important traits that helped him growing up was his confidence. Without it, he wouldn’t have had the courage to talk to people, go to dance classes, and even start his own channel. He is very confident in his abilities and when needed, he’d be willing to teach others as much as he can and be as proud as a mom when they learn. He doesn’t avoid scary things like difficult tasks that are risky and could cause problems if done wrong. He sees them as challenges that, with a lot of hard work, could give a lot of benefits. He isn’t easily brought down by harsh criticism and hate by other people and would brush them off saying “Haters gonna hate”.

 

Perfectionist to the max. He wants the projects, videos, and anything else he does to be perfect so the process can take a lot of time but at the same time the output is at what Kunwoo would call its "perfect state". When working with people, he needs them to be at attention all the time whenever he is demonstrating something and will often have them repeat it all over again whenever he sees the tiniest mistake. Think of Produce 101’s Bae Yoonjung with his observant eyes that capture the slightest mistake. It’ll all be worth it in the end when you deliver a fantastic output that could be seen as perfect.

 

This ball of fluff will attack every single one of his friends with hugs. Hugs from the back, hugs from the side, and even a frontal hug attack. He could be seen clinging to one of his friends while they work or sometimes seen with his arm entwined with another friend. Just the king of skin ship. Greetings and Goodbyes are both with hugs for him. You better get used to it because he will invade your personal space whether you like it or not. You could always try to pry him off. Keyword “try”.

 

Kunwoo can be quite the child. He teases his friends the way children tease each other. He sticks out his tongue when he wants to mock you, jump into a ball pit made for kids, giggles when someone says something dirty by accident, and worst of all is him copying your voice and mimicking your actions. Now for the different aspect of his immaturity. He never takes responsibility. It is just never his fault. He’ll refuse to take responsibility for his mistakes and blame it on someone else, convincing himself that other people or circumstances are the problem.

 

Sometimes you don’t want people to shout out a secret you just told them. Or you don’t want someone to bring up a really embarrassing memory in front of your crush. But Kunwoo will do these things. He will be so indiscreet to the point that he shouted that secret, saying he was shocked by it, and bring up that moment thinking it would be a good laugh between you and the person you like. He’d carelessly do or say something that would be inappropriate for the situation at hand, like a secret to the person who the secret was being kept from. He is just very thoughtless and insufficiently alert.

 

Bossy and Finicky Watch out cause his royal highness is here, ordering people left and right making sure people do as he says. He is straightforward in demanding that things be done, planned, and accommodated his way. Though he is open-minded, when he knows that his way works, he would REALLY prefer it if you did it that way and not the way you intend. He is the alpha who wants to take control of the situation and boss people around so that things are done his way. “I know you want to do it that way but, my way is better, trust me.” If you try doing it another way and succeed, he’d give credit where it is due but also be a little upset that you didn’t do it the way he wanted you to. If you try doing it another way and fail, he’d give you hell with all the “I told you so.” and the “Should’ve done what I told you.”

 

Now as much of a perfectionist he is, there are times where he’d be careless enough to lose things he owns and even things that aren’t his. He’d fess up about it but unless you’ve got a tracking device on that thing, it is long gone. This developed because he usually just replaces the things he loses or breaks with news ones #richlife. But when people have developed sentimental value to things and he loses them, that is something he cannot replace.

Kunwoo was the 2nd child of the Kwon family who were known to be successful employees of a high-end business. They don’t own the business, but they are in high positions which requires them to spend majority of their time working leaving their poor children in the care of nannies not experiencing the love a parent is supposed to give. Kunwoo and his older brother, Sunwoo, only had each other for comfort. Seeing as their parents really didn’t pay that much mind to them, other than sending them gifts for their birthdays and Christmas yet they were never around for, they quickly realized that they could really only rely on each other which made them really close growing up.

 

Growing up, Kunwoo found out that he had an affinity for music. He was always listening in on the latest Korean Pop songs released by different groups and watched the live stages either on the Internet or on the television. What drew him was the cheers and screams the fans gave whenever the idols performed on stage. He constantly imagined himself as those idols performing the songs, enjoying the chants and hearing the fans scream out his name, he loved just the thought of it. Kunwoo told Sunwoo about this and how it was his dream to be an idol who in turn supported him with it.

 

Growing up, both Sunwoo and Kunwoo learned from their friends who were trainees how difficult it was to be a trainee as well as being able to debut. Sunwoo was worried for his brother but Kunwoo was stubborn and reassured his brother that he’d do his best and that he’s got nothing to worry about. Kunwoo would be lying to himself if said that he wasn’t afraid. This was an entirely new environment he was entering. With people who would most likely be more skilled than he was. But for the sake of experiencing what it felt like to be an idol, he’d face it all.

 

Before entering an actual entertainment agency, he got great tips from his fellow friends that in order for him to get a higher chance at being accepted into entertainment agencies especially the well-known ones, he’d need to either be really skilled in singing, rapping, dancing, be really good-looking, or all of the above. With the help of his brother, he got himself into voice lessons, that taught him the basics just so he wouldn’t be using bad techniques when handling his voice, and dance classes which didn’t only focus on one style of dancing which exposed Kunwoo into different styles of dancing in which he found his favorite style, popping.

 

Another tip was actually doing covers and posting them on YouTube. This would help gain himself his own fanbase and potentially get himself scouted. He took this advise and with his other trainee friends, they did covers of different K-pop songs raking in a good number of subscribers to make themselves known as one of the cover groups on the platform. It was after one of their public performances Kunwoo along with a few of his friends were scouted by different entertainment agencies. Straship being the one who scouted Kunwoo. He was ecstatic and immediately told his brother about it who in turn was proud of his little brother. He spent days preparing for his audition and thankfully, with a lot of hard work, he managed to get himself into one of the big-league entertainment companies.

One wanting to put the other under his control while the other refusing to be bossed around. They won't go as far as to get into fights but there would be some conflicts between them. But since they are members of the same group, they eventually make up and are on good terms with each other. Kinda like Tom and Jerry on certain episodes. But when Kunwoo isn't being a bossy bish, he treats Ollie well and even targets him as one s he would latch onto even if the other doesn't want him to. The closer they get the more Kunwoo could crack his punky attitude and in turn Kunwoo would start to realize how much of an he is when bossing people around and having things go his way.

training background It started off the way his friends told him it would be. Days of rough and tiring training, being scolded by the instructor even if one person makes a mistake, a lot of competition in the air but nevertheless, friendly trainees, and so many days where his body ached more than it would spending time at the gym. He knew all of this would be worth it someday so he just had to get used to it. And in no time he did. It was tiring but he was enjoying it instead of dreading every day. He saw himself improving day by day. Scolding turned into praises from the instructors. Sometimes he'd be assigned to lead some part of the trainees in dance classes. Soon enough he learned how to create his own choreography that flowed well with the music. During vocal lessons, they deemed him a good enough vocalist but not as great as the others who had way better techniques than he did. Nevertheless, the instructor said that he makes up for it with the tone of his voice as well as his pitch.
