~The Promptabble Tag~ 

I’ve been trying to find some ways to get back into writing and one of the things I came up with was to create some drabbles by putting together dialogue prompts. They turned out pretty funny so I thought I’d share them, and also challenge you to do some too. So I tag everyone who reads this (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧

When creating a Promptabble, try to keep these things in mind:

1. Most of the dialogue should be prompts.

2. Try to use as much of the original prompt as you can, but it is okay to change small things like pronouns (he, she, I, you, me…) or add names.

3. You can add as much or as little “story content” as you’d like to your promptabble. If you want it to just be dialogue then go for it!

4. And try to make the dialogue fit together and make as much sense as you can (while still being funny or crazy, of course)

I found most of my dialogue prompts on Pinterest, but there are also good ones on Tumblr, Google, and Bing.

Promptabble #1

(Nature Hike)
 

Baekhyun shoved a jungle sized leaf to the side so that it wouldn’t hit him in the face, only to then trip and stumble over one of the many hand-like roots that crisscrossed the damp ground. “We’re stranded on an island full of cannibals, and you’re worried about hand sanitizer?” he asked Chanyeol, who was leading their way through the dense underbrush.

“Just trust me,” Chanyeol reassured.

“The last time you said that,’ Baekhyun grumbled, “my house burned down.” He was annoyed not only by the memory but also by the fact that the other was having infinitely less trouble with the terrain than he was. 

“Yeah, but you didn’t die,” Chanyeol reasoned.

Baekhyun scoffed. “That’s not the point!”

Chanyeol stopped suddenly, then turned and bopped Baekhyun on the nose with his index finger. “You sir, need to calm the hell down. You’re at a fifteen and I need you at like, a seven.”

And then, just as suddenly, they were walking again—Chanyeol as calm as if they were on a friendly nature hike, and Baekhyun looking like an angry volcano about to explode.

If they lived through this, Baekhyun was going to kill Chanyeol.

Promptabble #2

(Tuesday)
 

“Want to see what kind of trouble we can get into?” Chanyeol asked, making a tiny fireball appear and disappear in his palm.

“Oh god,” Baekhyun grimaced, “we’re going to die, aren’t we?”

Chanyeol shrugged nonchalantly. “It’s a Tuesday, I know how to restrain myself.”

“You absolutely do not.”

“Okay, I don’t. But you're going to say yes anyway…”

“I hate you,” Baekhyun groaned but got up and followed Chanyeol anyway.

As they walked down the hallway that led out of their dorm, Chanyeol kept turning back and smiling at him with a smug grin.

After about the fifth time, Baekhyun finally lost his cool and demanded, “Stop that!”

“Stop what?”

“Doing that thing with your face when you’re happy.” Baekhyun gestured wildly at Chanyeol’s face with his fingers. “It’s making me nauseous.”

Unfazed, Chanyeol continued to smile with that stupid smug grin of his. “It’s a good thing you’re so cute when you’re angry.”

“Chanyeol?”

“Yes, Baekhyun?”

“I’m feeling very stabby right now. I’d suggest leaving me alone.”

Chanyeol just kept on smiling.

And Baekhyun kept on following him.

Promptabble #3

(If I’m Dying, Let Me Eat Cake)

“Oh, look at all the pretties!” Baekhyun gasped, clapping his hands excitedly.

“Can you please stop talking about assault rifles the same way you talk about shoes?” Chanyeol asked, putting the lid back on the crate of weapons he was inspecting in an old barn they sometimes used to store merchandise when they ran out of room in the main compound.

Baekhyun suddenly grew very serious. “I– I can’t stop it. I’m sorry…”

“It’s okay, it’s okay,” Chanyeol assured, confused as to why the smaller's mood shifted so quickly. “Just breathe. You don’t have to be sorry for anything. I’ve got you.”

He wrapped his arms around Baekhyun, not caring that anyone could walk in and see him—the big bad arms dealer—cuddling his boyfriend.

Then suddenly, Baekhyun began giggling again. 

 Chanyeol sighed. “Are you sober?”

“I’m moderately functional,” Baekhyun replied, rubbing his face into Chanyeol’s chest while still giggling.

“I’ll take that as a no.”

Baekhyun hiccuped. “If I’m dying, let me eat cake.”

“You’re not dying,” Chanyeol deadpanned.

“Let me eat cake anyway.”

Chanyeol was about to reply but then noticed the smaller’s hands were covered in drying paint.

“Uh, Baek... Why are your hands purple?”

Baekhyun inspected his hands, looking surprised. “Hmm… that’s a very good question.” After a second, he shrugged. “I regret nothing.”

“Because you can’t remember what you’re supposed to regret.”

Baekhyun shrugged again, smiling brightly up at his boyfriend. "Is it cake time now?"

"First a bath, then yes, cake time," Chanyeol chuckled.

He turned to leave, pulling Baekhyun behind him, but stopped short when he noticed that Kyungsoo—the gangs demolition expert—was blocking the doorway. He had one hand braced on either side of its frame, his face was a deep red, and his nose flared with every breath he took.

"Byun Baekhyun, you have five seconds to explain why my bedroom is purple..."

"Oh ," Baekhyun gasped, his eyes going wide just before he turned and ran towards the back door in a zig-zaggy, drunkenly manner. "Nevermind! I regret everything!"
