Once upon a time back in 2015 Polaris was gearing up to debut a boy group. They had gathered a talented team of 5 trainees, of which 17 year old Kang Heon was the maknae, and everything was set. Teaser photoshoots had been completed, songs had been recorded for the mini album, MV's had just finished shootin, and then the CEO got arrested for embezzlement.

Polaris went into damage control, fresh new boy group EON was scrapped, all available money was instead funelled into Jayden Jeong's fresh new girl of the month group idea under a new subsidiary to save face.

Years went by and trainees came and go, the other EON guys each dropped off one by one until Heon was the only one left, and fresh new faces came and came and came and Heon found himself the oldest now, leader of 8 ducklings just waiting to debut.

One more hurdle was presented: gather some fame with Produce so their debut can well and truly be hyped. Polaris tasked Heon to pick 2 other of the debut team and show the nation what the Polaris Boys had waiting for them!
