➤ Same as face claim, Selena Gomez. Generally fit and healthy from training with the Infinity team and currently dons blonde locks. Everything else remains the same.

FASHION STYLE :

➤ Jade's fashion sense isn't anything flashy and is a reflection of her economic status growing up. She wasn't wearing Gucci dresses or Prada shoes. There's only one time that she looked like she was rich: prom. Even then, she didn't really conform to the usual dress (her, her date). Besides that day/night, she hasn't worn high fashion and she doesn't prefer it if she had to be honest. Most of Jade's fashion is composed of sweats and over-sized hoodies with sneakers. Though, that's not all she wears. She wears her jeans (usually over sized) and tees with a leather jacket here and there. When wondering around her neighborhood or lounging around on base, she wears track outfits or over sized sweats that are mostly her best friend's hoodies she steals from time to time. 

 

➤ When it comes to her suit for missions, Jade doesn't have a super iconic look since it's something that anybody, like herself, can wear. She knew that hoodies and sweats wouldn't help on the field and with her powers, maybe it would be best to personify what she possessed. Given one of her powers is that of persuasion, she might as well use her body as an advantage. Which is why her suit is a bit more feminine but still tough just like her (one two three). She's learned to adapt this style into her own so there's a bit more variety than just sweats and oversized clothes.

PERSONALITY :
Jade isn't perfect and she knows she isn't. One of Jade's main points is that she's confident in herself. While she may not brag about her skills or make light of the strides she's made, she's damn sure confident in all that she does in the moment. It's one of the things that Fury likes about her because that assurance in herself is what makes her deliver a mean right hook as well as making her a strong fighter. Her headstrong trait is mainly a good thing because if she's behind a cause, she'll for it till the end.. Jade's also known to be very honest with those around her. Besides hiding her powers from most of the people in her, she's honest with just about everyone. If you need a straight answer, Jade's the best to go to as she won't coat it in rainbows or sprinkles. While on missions, it's not uncommon for her to make a comment to a certain member about their technique or how they handled the situation in that moment. Jade's also made it well known where she stands with the team because drama is not something they need considering they're all living on the compounds together. Another postive about Jade is her sense of humor. She can take a joke and enjoys making them to lighten up the mood. Her humor is usually dark and it shines most when she's with Oliver because he brings it out in her. Despite her tough appearance, Jade is generally a relaxed person. She doesn't make a fuss or scene about much as she's seen it doesn't do anything. This is most likely a product of being best friends with a man who's incredibly aloof and nonchalant most of the time.

Like every person on the team, she's not perfect. She has plenty of imperfections that she recognizes that her stubborn ways can cost the team more than she realizes. While Nick may not outwardly say it, she and the others are practically soldiers fighting the battles that others can't or aren't willing to do. Her being stubborn can land her in trouble because while it may be good that she sticks to her guns, it's not always the safest thing to do. Her blunt nature has also been a bit an issue at times because without realizing it, she causes tension within the group if what she says isn't nicely put. While most of her teammates have most likely been through hell and back, there's a way to say things and how to say them isn't something Jade's learned all too well. This is mainly due to the fact that she's never been corrected since where she lives and the people she's been with have been blunt as well. With her sense of humor, sometimes her tone is sarcastic. Another product of being around people who are also just as sarcastic. This sarcasm can also be an issue with the members as there's a time and place for sarcasm. A surprise to many is Jade's flirtatious attitude. She believes it could be linked her persuasion ability but she can't be certain. She's flirty with just about anyone that piques her interest. Usually not based on much except looks and possible boredom but it depends on the person she's flirting with. It's not an amazing trait as it can make her seem shallow. Lastly, her relaxed nature can sometimes come off as unbothered or not understanding the gravity of a situation as sometimes, it doesn't concern her. She's never done the whole super hero thing so sometimes she doesn't understand while those around her are freaking out. Jade obviously doesn't mean to be like this but sometimes, she doesn't see the big deal and no one can truly fault her for it. 

BACKGROUND :
Born in Madrid, Spain on February 14, 1992, Jade was given up to an orphanage that took in unwanted children. For the first 5 years, she was in the hands of some very bad people that didn't have her best interests in mind (background explained in abilities section). When she was saved from these very bad people, she was placed in another orphanage but in Coimbra, Portugal. She made some friends but she was mainly surrounded by adults who constantly looked after her well-being due to her the experimentation from those people who had her for the first 5 years. Things didn't look up for Jade until she turned 9 because a good American family, the Freeman's, was adopting her.

Just shy of her 10th birthday, Jade was brought to Philadelphia, United States by the Freeman's. The couple were good to Jade, they didn't know the extent of their adopted daughter's experimentation but they knew that she needed them to love her and show her what a good home meant. Jade enjoyed her new home as she was constantly given affection and all that she wanted (which wasn't much, mind you). She didn't really fit in at her new school but she managed to make one friend who is still her best friend now. She enjoyed school and although she didn't participate much in the after school activities, she was still content with her life. When she was 17, her brothers were adopted. They were a pair of fraternal twin boys that needed a home and of course, the Freeman's were willing to extend their family just a bit more. The twins were welcomed by Jade with open arms. She became a second mother to them as she always helped her mother with the twins - feeding them, changing them, playing with them, etc. Looking from the outside, Jade would be considered a success story with adjusting and living with a loving family and while she was, she was also very different.

At the hands of the bad people, Jade gained abilties. These abilities were never fully explained to her adoptive parents because other parents always turned down adopting a child who has been tortured as they wouldn't know what to expect with her adjustment and overall emotional state. Growing up, Jade didn't know the full extent of her powers she only knew that she couldn't cry unless told to do so and that she couldn't speak in a certain tone or else she'd be in big touble. This puzzled the Freeman's when they first adopted her because they didn't understand why their daughter wasn't crying like a normal child would but as Jade got older they attributed this to her being a teenager and nothing more was made of it. Jade's powers were something she couldn't afford to explain to her parents because she was worried they would hate her or kick her out of their house. So, Jade's only confided about her powers to a few people in her life.

Jade's younger brother, Freddy, is probably the closest person to her. Jade can't remember a time that she didn't have a smile on her face because of Freddy. He's incredibly funny as he always sees the funny side to just about everything. He is disabled but it doesn't stop him from having fun and making those around him smile. He was the first to find out about Jade's powers because he knew she was hiding something. When he forced her hand, Jade revealed that she was superhuman but not a superhero although Freddy would argue otherwise and still calls her a superhero. If she could, she'd bring Freddy with her to base for a daily dose of Freddy's humor. 

ADOPTED BROTHER: ASHER  FREEMAN / 15
STUBBORN, ARTISTIC, RESERVED/ 10
Asher is Jade's youngest brother. Unlike Freddy, Asher is a bit on the quiet side and keeps to himself a lot. He was adopted a year after Jade. While he may be reserved, Asher is talented in his own right. He's artistic which Jade encourages. He doesn't usually geek out over the same things as Freddy but he admires Jade just as much. She's always been supportive of him and he of her. When his quiet outer shell is broken, you can see his stubborn side that often causes Jade to roll her eyes. When he learned of her powers, he was pretty stoked since he'd never known a superhuman. He finds it 'cool' that she forms part of some sort of team that are spies. 

BEST AMIGO: BENNY POST / 26
COMPASSIONATE, CURIOUS, CHILL / 10
Benny is Jade's closest friend to date. After she moved into the neighborhood, Benny was the first to welcome her. The two got close really quick and while Benny may look intimidating with all his tattoos, he's as cool as a cucumber. He's her most trusted confidante outside her family. When Jade revealed her powers to him, she thought he didn't hear her but he did and he simply didn't make a big deal out of it because it didn't change anything so it's nothing he should be concerned about. He knows that she would never use her powers of persuasion to make him cave to something so she does it the old-fashioned way.

HAWKEYE: CLINT BARTON 
INTUITIVE, PASSIONATE, SARCASTIC / 9
Jade took a liking to Clint rather quickly. Of course, the two meet after his family fell victim to the snap. Clint and Jade understand each other and there's a great amount of respect between them. Jade's tough exterior is something that Clint quickly sees right through and although he doesn't outwardly call her out it, he's one of the few that can understand her true feelings. Clint enjoys her company as much as Natasha's because she's strong not only physically but emotionally, too. Out of all the Avengers, Jade is the closest to Clint and sticks close to him throughout the whole ordeal. Widow comments that they're the bird duo given their super hero names.

CAPTAIN MARVEL: CAROL DANVERS 
POWERFUL, ENDEARING, WITTY / 7
Jade meets Carol later in the story and Jade woud be lying if she said she wasn't awestruck by the intense girl power radiating from her. Carol, like Clint, takes an easy liking to Jade. The two aren't the best of friends instantly since there's a war going on in the universe so it isn't until after everything is being settled as a plan that Jade and Carol become friends but they do have interactions leading up to that point. Carol is someone that becomes an older sister figure to Jade later on in the story. She's the one to quip her 'Black Canary' name. The two share similar styles and they'll often compliment each other on their leather jackets or sweats.

THOR'S QUEEN: EMBLA / 1500
OBSERVANT, IMPASSIVE, INTIMIDATING / 6
Embla is not close with most people on the team but Jade is a slight exception to this. She doesn't outwardly say it but Embla's fond of Jade. Obviously, there's high mutual respect but Embla is a bit more open (not by much, mind you) with Jade in the sense that she'll smile around her a bit more than the others or show some sort of protective nature over Jade even though she knows she can handle her own. Embla's closeness to Jade is due to her being able to handle herself in combat. She doesn't have to worry about Jade losing her balance as often as the others who are skilled but not on the same level as Jade and her. Embla trained Jade like a Valkyrie and while she's a novice, it's impressive.

SHE-HULK: JEAN HEPBURN / 31
TEMPERAMENTAL, CHARISMATIC, OPEN / 4
Jean and Jade aren't best pals. The two don't really have that much in common. Jade understands this to be because Jean comes from a pretty well-off family life and while it's no reason for her to judge the doctor, it's something she can't help. Jean recognizes this as well but doesn't say anything to her as she (along with the rest of the team) know that it's best to leave these things be and not bring it into their workplace. Jade's reluctance to open up to Jean is that because she's a doctor, although not the same as a scientist, to Jade - there's no difference between them. Jade knows that Jean isn't the same as those who caused her powers, it's not an aspect of Jean she's fond of.

 

 

Black Canary 

 

abilities & weaknesses : 

➤ CANARY CRY : Jade's main power is her canary cry. Her cry produces ultrsonic vibration whenever she screams which severely damages organic and inorganic objects. She can break metals though she's still discovering this. She doesn't really use it in all her fights but if she's up against a very powerful superhuman, she'll use this to weaken them or throw them off balance. It's more of a last resort more than anything else. Another reason why she doesn't use it often is because the higher the pitch, the more it drains her to the point of fatigue. Since joining the team, she has been training to master this power. It was when she joined the team did she learn more about her powers since she's never had a clear cut understanding of her powers. Jade's canary cry ranges from three pitches with each pitch having a different level of damage. The higher, the better for her because she'll produce sonic waves that'll practically kill those near her so the team is usually equipped with devices to protect them from her cry. She has recently discovered that she can propel herself across long distances by screaming downwards.

 

➤  MASTER COMBATANT : While not a specific super power, Jade on par with the likes of Embla although Jade has more fighting types under her belt. Her combat skills are highly valued by Fury and Hill. After so many years of training under them, it's not a stretch to call her a master combatant As mentioned before, Embla trained her like a Valkyrie so Jade's ranked alongside Embla in terms of fighting. She's valuable for this and Fury knows when to send her in. She's usually the one who's sent to check out possible threats or scout out possible allies should the team go public (case in point with Oliver). Though, her training pre-dates the team since she took up boxing and mixed martial arts as hobbies and exercise. While she may have strong abilities, she's just as powerful without them if not more because she can do more damage with her fists than her cries. Shown here alongside her Canary Cry although it's a variation of her fighting style and obviously, you can take certain elements away to be more realistic for the story.

 

➤ PERSUASION : When it comes to Jade's power of persuasion, it's another power she doesn't use often. Thankfully, she can control this power since she has to change the pitch of her voice for her power to work. When she changes her tone/pitch (slightly higher than her normal voice), her target does as they're told. She can make them do things that they wouldn't usually do such as commit a crime or even take another life. While it's powerful, Jade doesn't like this power because it's a form of manipulation but she uses it when she needs to on missions. It's effective for a handful of people on her own but with an extension like a microphone, it can work on a whole room. She's still learning and trying to master this power. It's normally used when the team doesn't need to cause a bloody scene so Jade will use this power to distract anybody that gets in their way. She's recently learned that she extract the truth from people without much effort so it's good for interrogations.

combat & weaponry : 

➤ As for her combat skills, Jade has trained in boxing, mixed martial arts, judo, capoeira, krav maga and hapkido. While it may not seem like much, her mastering and combining these styles makes her highly dangerous to those who face her. She's also a novice in Valkyrie training courtesy of Embla. With her knowing various fighting techniques, she's pretty agile and flexible with her body.

 

➤ As for weapons, Jade's apt with guns and knives. She doesn't usually rely on weapons but she does carry a small gun on her (similar to a policeman's gun - sorry I'm generally not familiar with guns) and a pocket knife just in case she needs to subdue her target another way. Since she relies heavily on her fighting skills, weapons are truly the last resort for her.

history : 

➤ Jade doesn't really remember how she got her powers. All she knows is that she wasn't born with them. The truth of the matter is that she gained her powers through experimentation back in Spain by a group of scientists who were trying to create the next superhero...mainly on infants that were sold or abandoned by their parents. Jade's parents acutally sold her to these scientists and so that's how she came into their hands. Jade wasn't experimented on till she was 3 and after she was deemed a success, the police became involved and rescued her from the group. Thankfully, it didn't escalate to the point that she was being trained by these same people but the psychological damage couldn't be reversed. Jade's abilties aren't her favorite parts of herelf but she undestands that they're a part of her.

 

➤ Jade was approached by Fury in early 2010, not long after her eighteenth birthday. He explained that he was looking for women that were special like her and while she was reluctant at first, it wasn't long before she was convinced that maybe this is what life had in store for her. She was never recruited under S.H.I.E.L.D. as Fury didn't want them to know about her and would rather keep her out of it. He knew it was probably better for her to have some normalcy in her life rather than being a part of an organization like S.H.I.E.L.D. She was basically left alone by Fury and checked in on her from time to time. It wasn't until she graduated college in 2014 that she was officially brought in by Fury to live on base with the team. Since then, that's her residence but she still visits home when there isn't a dire mission at hand or only a few members are needed to complete a mission.

COMMENTS : Hope you don't mind that I based her on Black Canary who's a personal favorite of mine TBH. I know I don't describe her powers really well but I hope it's enough for you to get a better understanding of it. Sorry for being brief throughout the application but I figure giving you brief descriptions would be a bit better in letting you develop her character in the ways you want to. Feel free to change any aspect of her or Oliver. 

SCENES REQUESTS : 

➤ SING, BIRDIE : When Jade first meets the Avengers at their compound, she's asked about her abilities and when asked to demonstrate, one of the members interjects that they don't have the gear they usually wear to protect themselves so instead, Jean pulls up footage of her demonstrating her canary cry and the Avengers are impressed. Thor is smiling ear to ear when he watches the video and sees that the two 

➤ INFINITY GROUPIE : Thor is super impressed with the Infinity team and practically gawks over their abilities. He sticks close to all of them and becomes this big brother/groupie to the ladies. He's always smiling and praising them. Jade likes him a lot and finds him super amusing. Jade meeting Brunnhilde (Valkyrie) and becoming good pals with her.

➤ IT'S A PAGER, GUYS : (referring to the post-credit scene for Captain Marvel) The team arriving on the compounds after learning about Fury and Hill falling victim to the snap. The Avengers comment that the device Fury has is unfamiliar to them and Jade comments "It's a pager just slightly upgraded. Haven't you guys ever seen one?" This pokes fun at how the Avengers (most) were alive to know what a pager was. Jade's the first to explain that Fury always told them that the pager was only for dire emergencies. 

➤ I NEED YOU, OLLIE :  The Infinity team decide to bring in as many allies as they can find after the snap - knowing that what they're fighting up against is not their typical target. Jade reaches out to Oliver Queen after the snap. She leaves him the direction of the Avengers compound for him to visit her. When he arrives, Jade asks for his help to go up against Thanos. Oliver is hesitant at first because he knows he could die (his biggest fear) but Jade convinces him (without her powers) to join her in battle. When Clint meets him he quips "So you're me, but younger and wears green." and comments to Jade "So, now I can see why you're the closest to me...remind you of a certain, second-ranked archer." which makes her laugh and acknowledge that she subconsciously gravitated towards Clint because of it.

➤ THE SNAPPENING : The ones that dusted during the snap included Jade's parents, brothers and best friend. 

➤ NEW LOOK? : After the succeeds in reversing the snap (I hope), Oliver offers Jade to be his partner because of how well they fought alongside each other. She starts donning this look when she accepts to fight alongside him but still remains loyal to her infinity members.
