rina is on the shorter side, standing at 161cm. she weighs 50kg because she's a former athlete. her legs are quite stong as well. Although she's pale, she's able to tan decently well in the summer time. her hair is long and currently black, though she's considered dying it. rina has two lobe piercings in each ear; she used to have her bellybutton pierced, but she stopped wearing it when she moved to korea. she has an oval shaped birthmark on the inside of her right thigh. she has vision problems, but prefers to wear contacts.

rina's style is kind of all over the place. most days she likes to keep it pretty casual. other days she's feeling pretty good and wants to dress up a little. She loves crop tops just as much as she loves oversized shirts and owns several of each. thanks to the mild weather of san diego, so owns a large amount of spring/summer clothes, with various jackets and cardigans mixed in. As far as colors go, she owns a lot of monochrome, with random brighter colors mixed in. She's totally comfortable with showing skin and often has to remember she isn't in the u.s. anymore. she was not prepared for winter in seoul, so she wears the warmest, puffiest coats and the thickest sweaters in the winter season. she owns random clothes that she bought on impulse, so she has to wear them eventually.  she also has a  collection of dad hats in essential colors. her preferred choice of purse is a backpack.

Elaboration:

introvert: you might be wondering, how does an introvert get up on stage and perform? by channeling her inner extroverted goddess (aka beyonce) and then taking a long nap afterwards. rina might love singing, but it does leave her exhausted not only physically, but mentally. if she can't nap afterwards, she takes time to herself in other ways. she's not big on social interaction; she prefers long nights with her netflix account and closest friends. and popcorn.

loyal: family and friends are the most important things to rina. she obviously can't pick her family, but she can pick her friends. since she isn't big on social interaction, the friends that she does make are extremely important to her. if those closest to her are in trouble, she'll do anything she can to help them. Rina is also a little protective; you mess with them, you mess with her.

warm: those that are close to rina know that she a friendly and affectionate person. do you need a hug? rina's got you. you don't need one? well, you're getting one anyway. she loves joking around and making others feel happy. she doesn't judge because everyone walks through life differently, and all that matters is that they're on the right path now. 

healing: maybe it's the warmth she gives off, but her friends like to come to rina for advice. sometimes it's just to have a listening ear. whatever they need, rina is there to offer all of the support and a shoulder to cry on if needed. she tries to analyze the situation from an objective point of view and give the best advice possible and always offers words of encouragement.

intelligent: rina is a very smart girl, and not just in a book sense. her knowledge retention is through the roof. she's one of those people that can read something once and remember entire paragraphs. she learns new skills and dances quickly, too. this is also probably the reason why she still remembers every single song she danced in for show choir ever. rina still does like learning though, and knows random facts and trivia just for fun.

emotional: rina can go one of two ways. most often she's up. like, all the way up. things like a dope beat, a cool dance, an amazing fight scene from an anime, a harmony hit so beatifully it makes chills go down her spine, kim jongin's existence all get her so excited. food and puppies also positively influence her mood. however, if she thinks something is complete bullSh*t, she will be upset about it and everyone will know. Rina is overall just an expressive girl. she cries easily too, and sometimes she's just sad and not in the mood for much of anything.

Suppressive: for someone who frequently gives advice to her friends, Rina has a hard time talking about her own feelings. she doesn't really know how to formulate the words for what she's feeling sometimes. if someone sits her down and forces her to talk, rina will struggle for a few minutes before the dam breaks and she word vomits her feelings. tears might also appear as well.

Impulsive: she might be smart but she doesn't always think things through. her impulsivity usually kicks in when she's in a hightened emotional state. it's the reason why she auditioned for sm on a whim. it's also the reason why she has clothes and shoes in her closet she's never worn. rina is liable to bring home a dog, but she tried that once back home and it ended poorly.

disorganized: no amount of sticky notes can save this girl. rina's room is a mess, she misplaces things all the time, and if it wasn't for the reminders she puts in her phon the day plans are initally madee, she would miss appointments because she lost the paper it was origionally written down on. she knows it's chaos, but the cycle has yet to be broken.

complainer: rina complains. a lot. she really can't help it. if she's having a sh*tty day someone is going to here about it. she knows people hate this, heck, sometimes she can't stand to hear herself do it. it's better to let her just get it all off her chest. please don't call her out on it, because then she will get mad and pouty, which will only make the complaining worse.

Background: rina was born and raised in sunny san diego. growing up, rina was active in different sports and extracirriculars, but the only ones that ever stuck were softball and singing. she was blessed with range and soul, and was often given solo parts for various concerts throughout the year. when she was in middle school, rina watched her first kpop video and immediately fell in love. the dancing inspired her to learn as many of the choreographies she could, and watching other dance tutorials to learn differnt dance styles. in high school, she dropped softball so she could foucs on show choir fully. she graduated high school in june of 2014.
Rina completed one year of college at UCSD. while there, she majored in psychology, and was a part of the chamber choir. to rina, singing was still only a beloved hobby. until suddenly, it wasn't. rina quickly realized that college life wasn't for her, and she kept wondering what if she just dropped out and became an idol. she obviously wasn't going to drop out, but she did hatch a plan with her younger brother. The day after her last final of her first quarter, rina and her brother booked a room in la and drove up so rina could audition for sm. the weeks following the audition were rough. their parents were furious, and the two were put on lockdown; rina until classes started back, her brother indefinitely because he was 16 at the time. if rina hadn't passed the audition, she has no idea what she would've done about school. when rina told her parents, they were happy for her, but would only let her go if she finished her first year at ucsd and looked into continuing her education while in korea. august 2015, rina was on the earliest flight to seoul.

krystal, henry, and wendy aren't really as active in the group chat, but everyone else (johnny, ten, mark, jaehyun, and amber) is. amber has already claimed rina as her "child" and mark is like another little brother to her. rina gets along with all of them, and the others can't wait to introduce her to their friends from other companies.

they're the same age, so of course rina wanted to get to know joy. they don't get to spend a lot of time together, but rina likes having someone outside of her members that she can occasionally spend time with. joy is  sweet and easy to talk to, so the two have nice conversations.

ryan is her younger brother, also known as her partner in crime. their mental ages decrease when they interact with each other, and it's wonderful. she misses him terribly, but tries to talk with him at least weekly. he's currently in college studying to be an engineer.

rina now loves her members like younger sisters or best friends. it was different at first, but she's grown to see blue moon as her new family, and she would never turn her back on family.

Trainee years: 3 years
Trainee life: rina joined sm at an awkward time. it was the summer of 2015; sm rookies had stopped focusing so much on the girls and was now focusing on the boys, and yeri had recently debuted with red velvet. it was hard for rina to make friends at first; most of the girls were younger than her and had been training together for awhile. then there was woolim, who rina felt like she couldn't get close to no matter how nice she was because she had been training for so long it seemed like she was on another level. So rina kept to herself mostly at the beginning, only participating in conversations when groups were talking. she focused mostly on her dancing because that was where she needed the most refinement. she had the natural rhythm, charisma, power, and soaked up choreography like a sponge, but she was lacking in her technical elements since she was mostly self-taught. she spent many hours in front of the mirrors breaking down steps to clean up the more technical parts of choreography. vocal practice was much easier. she was blessed with range and had decent control from years of choir back home. rina mostly worked on improving her vocal techniques and trying different styles of singing. she also began working on composing skills.

personality: ten is an absolute sweetheart with a little bit of a mischevious side. He's shy and awkward upon first meeting people, but once he warms up to them he can be very affectionate and playful with them. he enjoys teasing and playing around with s. it's obvious when he's happy; you'd have to be blind not to see his smile. ten is also tender-hearted. it doesn't take much to scare him, and kind gestures often make him tear up. he's extremely hardworking to the point of being stubborn. he takes his job seriously, but does take breaks to have some fun.

I honestly think it's a wonderful idea. it's rare that every single member of a group gets a moment like this to show their skills.

i have always enjoyed singing and performing, so i decided one day that i would make it my career instead of just a hobby.

my biggest inspiration would be my parents. they taught me to go after what i want. they don't always like my methods though. (laughs)

i hope we leave the kind of impact that is remembered even 20 years from now.
