No Yumi sharply inhales on her cigarette and releases the smoke through her nose. Nothing fancy, no smoke rings or anything, she has no one to impress. Her black leather jacket, ripped jeans, and bright orange hair scream do not disturb, but she's been avoided long before that. Now she just looks the part.

Yumi has made an art out of looking intimidating. When in uniform it's artfully shabby, corners cut wherever she can get away with them.  In her own time it's leather and ripped jeans and chunky boots. It's an artful way of pretending she doesn't care about what she looks like, nevermind that she's wearing the shirt underneath that makes her s look great, or nevermind that she spent a lot of time curling her hair so it's just the right kind of mess of orange, or the fact that she dyes it every couple of weeks to keep it the perfect shade of shocking.

 But looks aren't anything...

PERSONALITY :

No Yumi takes a long drag and feels the hot smoke fill her lungs. She imagines the smoke curling in all of her nooks and crannies, exploring all her edges, before it's forced out and disappears into the twilight.... or something like that. Hyunsoo would make a whole thing out of it. Mostly she's just very chilly and the cigarette helps, not everything has to be deep and philosophical. She kicks a pebble and watches it skit across the pavement and hit some kid's boot. The kid looks up and glares at her, like she did it on purpose, pfft he should be so lucky. Yumi's mouth pulls into a cheshire smile and she waves at him before exhaling her smoke in his direction. Byeeee. Idiot.

Yumi keeps herself aloof, proud queen of the underdogs except she's not queen of anything or anyone. She has shrouded herself in sharp edges, a snarky insult here, a dark joke there, a lopsided smile backed by sharp eyes. Nothing can hurt you if you hurt them first, her armor is her apathy and her sarcasm, she doesn't give a what you think of her, she doesn't need people. Hate her all you like, she thrived off the resentment. You can't touch me she wants to shout at every resentful look. You can't touch me and you know it, you bastards! She's ing untoucheable.

Yumi doesn't need anyone.

At least, that's what she tells herself.

Even if that were true, that doesn't mean others don't need Yumi. For a girl with so much leather and thorns she has a bigger heart than she can handle and an allergy to injustice. If there's one thing Yumi hates most in the world that's a bully. She's been known to pick fights with anyone who exerts any kind of bullying behaviour. Why don't you try that trick on me? Being impervious to any supernatural bull has its perks when one makes defending the weak one's prime hobby. She didn't intend for it to go this way but she just has such a weak spots for the losers, the underdogs, the weak and the meek. Those are her people. As as life can be for those on the fringe, they can at least have something of a friend in No Yumi, even if all that is is an actually genuine smile and an extended hand to help you onto your feet. It counts for something, doesn't it?

In Yumi's core there is a constant battle of the primal forces that make her up: the fact that she's a person lead almost solely by her emotions and the willpower to keep those emotions locked up. Her powers are unstable, try as she might she has not been able to suppress certain parts of them that insist on plunging the world into chaos when they're sparked, especially her anger. She used to be a hot head, a shounen protagonist whose tempers and passions flared at the slightest nudge. Now she's had to learn to control herself and it's... an ongoing process. Stay calm, Yumi, stay calm, but ugh this is pissing her off so much. She tries to keep her cool, it's so much more effecive dealing with bullies when you show that you don't give a anyway (and being untoucheable helps), but some people just push too far, some people just do too much damage. Damage her and, whatever, she'll kick your or not, it doesn't much matter. Damage someone else and you better hope there's no one around to hold her flower. And, honestly, secretly, sometimes it's pretty damned fun to see someone trying to use their powers but instead it's CHAOS, ya know?

Really, though, her willpower is basically keeping her going at this point. Yumi has this unbreakable stubborn streak, it can be damned infuriating. If she makes up her mind it's gonna take a whole lot to get her off it. Yumi is so damned competitive and giving in would admit defeat. Giving in wuold show weakness, and Yumi never shows weakness. They wanted so bad for her to master projecting her powers and Yumi did not take it well at all. Now, if she shows them that she can do it, it will be like they win. She can use it when she knows the authorities can't find out, if pressed, but they can never know. That would be weakness. And Yumi does. not. show. weakness. She's not good with authority to begin with, Yumi hates being told what she can and cannot do and she hates being controlled more than anything else in the world. Yumi is free, Yumi's life is hers, and nobody gets to tell her what to do with it, nobody gets to steer her, no sir.

Yumi is free.

At least, that's what she tells herself.

BACKGROUND :

Nobody really knows when Yumi's powers manifested, her included. She's from a perfectly normal middle class family, so who even knew that she was immune to all kind of powers? Who'd even know that, with emotional spikes, other people's powers around her start going haywire? There was never really anyone around her who could've showed her. Her powers could have manifested at 5 or the day before The Incident when she was 15. But tht's getting ahead of herself.

So, Yumi is a totally normal person, born and raised on Jin Island or Jindo in the very south of Korea. She wa always rebellious, especially for living in a small city on a small island. She was horribly unmotivated student and general good for nothing long before the Incident that saw her brought to Ledrith. She was 15 when she went on a trip to Seoul with school, she'd been so excited about it. They were in some shopping mall and Yumi can't even remember what had happened, her friend had done or said something that to the 15 year old Yumi had felt like the greatest betrayal in the world. She felt so angry, so furious, and there just happened to be an empath doing some shopping. Emotions started going wild all around them, people burst out crying or started shouting or laughing, it was terrifying. Yumi just looked around in confusion and made  panicked eye contact with the empath, the only one in the radius not having some mental breakdown.

It took a while for the government to track Yumi down to Jindo, but eventually the letter found her and she was brought to the school, grade 2, confused and scared.

Life at Ledrith had started out okay. She'd still been reeling from the whole superpowers thing and the school started teaching her how to control her powers, and her teacher seemed especially keen to teach her how to project her power negation on others. It was quickly clear, however, that No Yumi wasn't going to become someone popular anytime soon. In a school filled with hormal teenagers going on various levels of power trips, a girl whose power is to essentially turn them into a mundane person didn't go over well with some sorts of students. Yumi got shunned by the established order, the reds and orange cliques especially saw her as a threat. The girl who could, quite literally, make them powerless.

Fine, little Yumi said.

Fine.

them.

She didn't need them.

Yumi grew into the bitter and sarcastic thing she is now, and a perk of being an outcast is she didn't have to care about the feelings of others, she didn't give a if she upset some kind of hierarchy or whatever, nobody could touch her, at least not with their coveted powers. What was more, she was starting to get a grip on this whole projecting her negation powers thing and how much fun was it to see some jerk try to make electricity and find that, oops, he couldn't? Especially when that same jerk had been making fun of the girl who could only levitate a little for being useless just an hour ago.

Another perk of being an outcast was Yumi got real perceptive, when one is on the outisde looking in one might become very good at looking. As her first year went on she was getting better and better with her powers but there was something weird going on. Her control on her emotions was still poor, but the one who was giving her special training didn't seem to care much about that, or about her own suggestions of trying to learn how to turn this immunity thing off for the effects of good powers. It was real obvious to see that the whole projecting thing was what they were really interested in. She did some tests, faked a regression, pretending it just wasn't working, and saw the impatience in the eyes of her teacher.

They wanted it so bad. Far too bad.

She doesn't know anything concrete, but she knows she was being trained for something and that didn't sit right by her at all. She was being used and manipulated somehow, she's sure, and her stubbornness kicked in hard. From that moment on she hasn't projected her nullification powers, she's pretended it's just not working, and she doesn't get private tutoring anymore. She doesn't care that it's a power that might come in useful, that. They wanted it too much and so she's fine never touching it again. Her life is hers, ers.

And now she's in her 5th year and trying so hard to keep her emotions in check so they might actually let her go, but does the government want to let go of what could be the perfect agents to keep powered folk in check? I suppose we might just find out.

LIKES:

— The Sea, she grew up on a small island, she loves the smell of it and the sound of it and the violence of it. Stormy seas are the best seas, objectively.

— Watching old movies with her sister. Yuhyun has an extensive collection and whenever Yumi is home they like to watch movies together. Jurrassic Park and Marvel are her favourites, the kind of mindless fun

— Animals. Human but animals are great, she doesn't have her own pet but she does dote on others'.

— Fall, it's the orange season! She loves the aesthetics of it all. Plus fall means storms and storms are great.

— Storms are great, the more lightning and wind and pouring rain the better. They whip the sea up, they shake the trees, they bring all of nature's violence onto the world and Yumi will be leaning out of her window with a grin of wonder.

— Tea. I know, she looks like she'd be a heavy coffee drinker, but Yumi likes tea the best. Mint tea especially is her favorite. You can be hardcore while drinking a nice earthy blend, she proves that.

— She loves loves loves spicy things. It's the challenge, you know? The pepper is challenging her to eat it and survive, Yumi has accepted the challenge many many times. Even if she's crying, even if she's desperately reaching for the milk, she still wins. It is getting digested in her stomach and she lives to fight another day. Take that pepper.

— Acoustic indie is her favorite style of music. I know, she looks like she'd be a rocker or something, but Yumi will be quick to point out that acoustic doesn't always mean soft. Mumford and Sons, Hozier, Florence and the Machine, Vincent, Nell, Roy Kim, Younha, that's her cuppa. Though you better believe there's some Norazo in that playlist too.

DISLIKES:

— Any kind of criticism on the state of her room. She knows exactly where everything else, that other's don't is nothing but a bonus, really.

— Bullies. those preying on the weak to make themselves feel stronger, cowards.

— The duelling, it seems so dumb to her. It definitely has nothing to do with the fact that Yumi's never been invited to participate. More cowards.

— Anyone telling her what to do, she will do the opposite just to spite them. For the love of god do not tell her she can't do something cause she will.

— She hates mushrooms, the eating kind. Gross. Why would you eat fungus?? Mould is fungus. Yeast infections are fungus. No thanks. The toadstool kinds are cute when they're chilling on a tree or in the grass but not on her plate.

HOBBIES:
— Swimming. She grew up on a small island, she can swim like a boss. Feels freeing too, like the earth melts away and you're at the mercy of the tides. Swimming pools just don't suffice, ya know?

— She has an acoustic guitar that she can play fairly well. She's not the most musical person but sometimes it's nce to just sit andstrum some tunes, you know? She's never made a song, she's afraid of trying honestly, it's mostly improvisation and sometimes a cover she knows. Her singing voice is alright at best but who cares what others think? If  she wants to ing she'll sing and they'll have to deal.

— Does storm hunting count? During any storm, Yumi will be somewhere to enjoy it or stuck in class hating herself for missing it. Sometimes she's leaning out a window, sometimes she's outside getting peltered by rain, sometimes she's standing on the coast enjoying the winds and the crashing waves. Isn't nature just beautiful?

— Does smoking count?

HABITS:

— So much hair dying, but that's what's necessary for that bright colour. She dyes and bleaches it every few weeks when the root gets annoying, sometimes enlisting the help of Hyunsoo even if it's just for company while the bleach fries her hair. She might try a different color sometime but for now she likes the orange. It's like a warning: keep out.

— She's a smoker, not suuuper heavy but enough to smoke fairly regularly. She likes the personal break it affords her, though she knows it's bad for her. It's gross but she can't stop, she doesn't want to stop either, but she should stop. It's complicated.

— She has a whole morning routine to get her aesthetics down pat. She curles her hair if yesterday's curls aren't deemed 'close enough', she gets her eyeliner on point, and she makes sure her uniform looks as shabby aas physically possible. This whole hot outcast look isn't going to put itself together.

FEARS:

— What she fears most is the loss of control, of becoming something she's not. Of living for someone else. She has enough healthy paranoia to feel like something is off about this whole thing. A school full of dangerous powers would come in useful, right? How Hyojung's lessons seem to focus just a bit more on facets that are useful over facets that are healthy for the person. How... passionate... Byun Hyojung can be about teaching and how... disappointed... she can be at failure. It's all just a little off and the thought of them getting their hooks into her chills her.

— She fears herself, sometimes. How reckless she can be, how thrilling the defiance is. Being untoucheable has made her overconfident, but how could it not?  Nothing can touch her! Nothing to do with powers at least, and that's 90% of everything here. It feels so good to defy, to take risks and come out with her skin intact. Yumi is becoming more and more fearless and a part of her is terrified of it. A part too quiet to stop her.

She doesn't hold the regular kind of fears because of her recklessness and the constant feeling of untoucheability. She has walked through fire and come out unharmed. Sure, the flame of a candle can still hurt her, but how is she supposed to feel scared after that?? Heights just make her heart beat in in the best way possible. The sea is her friend and she embraces it.

Well, maybe small spaces. Nobody likes small spaces.

TRIVIA :
— Her sister  is the one who sends her the hairdye and cigarettes, she knows Yumi needs it to stay sane.

— Really bad at cooking anything except bibimbap, her bibimbap is legendary. Everything she makes is spicy as hell, too. Consume at your own risk. If her tongue isn't burning then is she really hardcore enough?

— She absolutely hates the color system, but then again who wouldn't hate a class system when one's one the bottom rung?

— She's really not very good academically. PE is the only clas she actually likes, the rest she parely scrapes by in. English lit? Arts and music? Maths and sciences? What the hell this is a magicl school! Magical theory? Way to make all of this sound boring. It helps that Ahn Chul is the only teacher she gets along with.

— Very adept at cheating tests.

— She has become something of an adrenaline junky, the rush she gets from defiance, be it defying a person or defying the laws of physics and common sense (she knows exactly how to get up to the roof... mostly safely...), it feels so good to be victorious even in the little thing.

I Don't know any perfect person...

CONNECTIONS :

— Sister : No Yuhyun / 26 / occupation: Hairdresser and Contraband Provider / personality traits (mbti)

Yumi and Yuhyun have had a rocky relationship, they're 8 years aart and have never really been able to bond as siblings closer in age do. Yuhyun was always far above her, too busy with something else in her life to get to Yumi's level, and Yumi never understood her big sister who was too busy crying about boys to play dolls with her. It was absence that got them closer. Yumi was so lonely in her first year at Ledrith, before she'd steeled herself and before she'd made her outcast connections, letters to her sister were the only thing that kept her sane. They were heavily monitored of course, Yuhyun couldn't know about any of the powers stuff, but Yumi was allowed to communicate with vagueness and lies.

Yuhyun was the one who, out of nowhere, sent her bleach and hair dye and instructions on how to do it properly. She'd thought, correctly, that sometimes to get one out of a rut a drastic change is needed. Having a hairdresser sister can really rock. Yumi's been dying her hair ever since, she's not entirely sure if it's allowed as per school regulations but nobody has challenged her on it yet. She supposes they could be looking the other way, or maybe her glare had convinced them. Either way Yumi would shave her head before she'd dye her hair black again to please others.

During times when they're allowed to visit her family, Yumi visits her sister who lived on her own in Busan now.

— Friend : Kang Hyunsoo / 19 / occupation: Hot Mess

Slaps Hyunsoo This bad boy can fit so much ing issues in it

He's the most pathetic loser there, of course he was going to end up her favorite.

Yumi only noticed him almost a year ago now, he was always kind of on his own and she'd just never really seen him. Once she did, though, she was hooked. He's a loser, a sad boy, a kid with some serious issues, a dumb , a helpless little thing, that's Yumi's type! Whenever she ran into him she made it a point to talk to him. Just a few words at first, but he sure was intriguing with those illusions of his and that weird everything of his.

It's safe to say that Yumi imposed friendship in stage, Hyunsoo had very little say in the matter. It went from a few exchanged words when she saw him to looking forward to seeing him to actually seeking him out. It was all the safe kind of friendship that Yumi has with all of her few 'friends' at first: at an arm's length, not getting too close, just enough to fill her sim's social meter but not enough to get to the deep and problematic socialization commands, but there's something different about Hyunsoo, something more interesting and she finds herself wanting to learn more.

This is also the first time she's ever wished she wasn't immune to a power. Not even when she broke her arm in her first year and the healer couldn't touch her, not even all the times she stubs her toe and thinks 'if only Ran could've saved me from this agony', never before has she actually wished to let a power through, but the first time she asked Hyunsoo to tell her what he was seeing it blew her away. He sees such beautiful things, and then he manages to put them into words in such beautiful ways. Yumi doesn't have a creative bone in her body, she doesn't really have a big imagination, but the way he talks even someone as imaginatively illiterate as her can understand, and that's kind of amazing. She loves listening to him when he talks art, it's the things she can't come up with on her own but he can and that's fantastic.

She doesn't really understand him, doesn't understand all of the way he ticks and all of his depths. Yumi is very surface level, she's very no nonsense and he's all nonesense, but somehow that makes it work even better. You couldn't probably say something about opposites or whatever, she'd tell you to stop leaning on cliches, everyone's their own person and boxing them up like that does no one any favors. Still, there might just be some wisdom to be found there, and this friendship might be shifting dangerous close to serious social commands for this sim to be comfortable with.

She calls him a loser or a to his face a lot, but like in a nice way? Sort of? Look, Yumi hasn't really figured how out affection outside of the tsundere spectrum works, she's trying okay. Give her some credit.

— Friendish : Wang Seolhyun / 18 / occupation: Knows Your Shame

Seolhyun can't hear her thoughts and Yumi is very happy with that. She doesn't think she'd like it if anyone could just hear her everything she was thinking, from the good to the dumb , it was hers. Good thing she doesn't have to worry about that.

Seolhyun sure isn't Yumi's favorite person, there's something off about her. It could be the fact that she probably knows everyone else's secrets, or it could be something else, but she skeeves Yumi out a bit. Maybe she's just too quiet? Still, Ran hangs out with her, so she can't be all bad, right? Plus she's is fun sometimes. Maybe Yumi's wrong? Nah, Yumi's never wrong (that's a lie she's wrong all the time omg).

The snake is ing though. Love the snake.

— Friend : Miyuki Rantaro / 19 / occupation: Knows Your Shame 2

Ran is chill, Yumi likes Ran. Ran knows when someone's about to do something real dumb, which is fun. Ran is fun. Plus, he saved her from having the vile taste of mushrooms in for a whole day that one time, if that doesn't earn him a spot at her table then what does?

He's one of the strays she's collected, one of those kids she'll sit with if he's around, be friends with on a surface level, would fight for if needed. Plus he's weird and interesting and she digs that. Not quite a loser, not the full combo like Hyunsoo is, but enough to keep her coming back for more.

— Avoid at all cost : Byun Hyojung / 24 / occupation: Super intense ability prof, the worst

Yumi and Hyojung do not get along. Hyojung suspects that Yumi is purposely thwarting their lessons together, how could she not? One moment they're making progress together, the nest Yumi is closed off and supposedly can't do any of the things they trained for anymore. Yumi feels like she's in a very personal competition of wills with Hyojung. If the teacher ever finds out she can still project her powers outwards than Yumi loses. If she can keep the facade going and graduate then Yumi wins. Yumi suspects the competition is mutual, if anyone forces her to stay aother year she is sure it would be Byun Hyojung's influence.

 WITH GREAT POWER...

PLOTLINE: Immunity

BACKUP: Empathy (her instability would instead result in emotional instability in a radius around her. Lots of crying and laughing and laugh-crying. Gross.)

CODE:            (might qualify for yellow because of her instability if the danger she makes other pose counts)

TYPE: Constant

THE ABILITY: Yumi's power is very simple: it negates those of others. Or makes them go crazy... maybe not so simple after all. All she really knows is that it has an effect on the powers of others and they don't generally like it, which suits Yumi just fine.

The building block of her power is the effect that's constant: no power can touch her. Other people's powers simply don't work on her. Seolhyun can't read her thoughts, Hyunsoo can't make her see things, Rantaro can't even see her in his premonitions, even if he sees a scenario she'd be in, he wouldn't see her it would just be empty space. Mina can't heal her, the pyro's fire can't touch her, the death person can touch her all she likes and her heart will keep beating, her dreams are safe from the dreamwalker, you get the picture.

No power can touch her.

In her first year she mostly practiced on turning the constant power into an active power. Under the guise of catch-up lessons she was pushed to learn how to project her powers outward, either in creating a perimeter where powers don't work or in targeting a specific person and cancelling out her powers. The former was incredibly hard and taxing for her and she was still in the beginning stages of learning it, the latter was actually going fairly well until she stubbornly refused to practice either. She's very out of practice now, she's not even sure if she can still target people, let alone think about creation a perimeter.

Then there's her instability. Powers are often tied to emotions and Yumi is no exception, high emotional spikes will create an area of power instability around her. Basically people will be unable to control their powers, the severity of which depend on the severity of her outburst. She makes others more dangerous than they already are, yaaay. (I'll be a big vague with the actual applications so you can use them in your story as you need them. Downplay her or play it up, whichever works for the narrative!)

She hasn't even thought of trying to figure out how to use these powers actively or if she even could. Theoretically it's a facet of her powers that could be projected just like her negation powers, but Yumi is way too busy repressing to experiment. (She might be able to turn her powers into the opposite direction and amplify those of others as well, but that depends on if it fits into your story!)

STRENGTHS: Can't touch this! (na na na na)

No but really, her biggest strength is you can't touch her, not with powers at least. She's a foil for basically anyone there. She can also with some concentration and trying still project her negation onto specific people, probably, but it's been a while and she'd have to climb the biggest obstactle: her pride and stubbornness.

WEAKNESSES: It can't hurt people, for one, not really. It's a purely defensive power in its nature, and even if she has an outburst and powers go wild, the damage is competely chaotic, it's impossible for her to steer its attacks. Her power also doesn't stop anything physical, you can't set her on fire with your powers but if you grab a match and hold it under her hair she'll still burn. You can't hit her with your powers but you can deck her in the face with a fist if you want.

If she (deliberately or through an Episode) uses her powers too much they'll deplete and she'll become vulnerable to those of others for a short time until she can regenerate. Sometimes she can snap out of an episode in time, sometimes it doesn't. When powers are used on her, aside from the usual effect, it feels very invasive to her. It feels unnatural and wrong, like her body is saying this is bad this is bad this is bad over and over, almost like a mental allergic reaction.

Also the positive powers don't work on her either and that's a big damned weakness. No healing touch, no gentle mood lifts, none of that. Unless she's completely drained of power she's fresh outta luck.

OTHER TALENTS: Since Yumi's power is purely defensive she's been active in learning self-defense (and self-offense). You can still punch her and she's really rather you did not, you know?  Not her best thing but she tries, she gets into enough scrapes necessesitate it.

She's also a good shot and Yumi likes guns. It kinda makes her feel like she has a deadly power, you know? Put a pistol in her hands and when she pulls the trigger, for a second, she has a power: the power of technology, gun powder,  and hand-eye coordination.

She's a very good swimmer too.

MENTAL HEALTH: Her mental health is fine.

PHYSICAL HEALTH: Her physical health is fine, too. A youth filled with swimming has left her a healthy set of lungs which she's very busy killing with her cigarettes. She's slowly starting to notice the effects it has on her stamina but it's not concerning enough to actually stop.

DORM: Her dorm is fairly bare, she hasn't cared enough to competely make it hers like many of the other students have done, though maybe that has made it all the more hers. Furniture is mostly standard, room is a perpetual mess. She has a desk with a mirror and various hair and makeup products scattered on top (you don't expect her to carry the idgaf look without expertly winged eyeliner, do you?), last year's notes are still somewhere to be found in some drawer or scattered under the bed, books are everywhere except for the shelves meant for them, her duvet is halfway across the room, somehow there's a bra on the ceiling lamp how did that even get there?? The only thiing that's always in its place is her guitar safely stowed on the stand... which also sometimes serves as a bra stand look don't judge her, she takes that thing off and who knows where it ends up??

She does have some decorations, most of them have been gifts from her sister. Silly POP figured for popular films like marvel or disney, things that reminded Yuhyun of her prickly little sister. There's a Black Widow ("It's the aesthetic!"), a Shrek ("your room is worse than a swamp, I think Shrek wins here"), a Jon Snow ("You know nothing, but also you're one of the bravest people I know"), a Hanzo ("You're the worst sometimes <3"), a Poe Dameron ("You're the best. Just the best. You're great. I love you.") and a y Dr. Ian. Malcolm from Jurassic Park ("Look, I really just needed an excuse to buy this"). These are her most treasured belongings, anything else can catch fire and she'd save just these figures.

The walls are mostly bare aside from some photos of her and her sister and of the sea that she made when she visited Yuhyun in Busan.

DAILY LIFE:  Yumi gets up about an hour before lessons to quickly do her hair and makeup and stuff some quick food in before lessons. She never showers in the morning, she loves her sleep waaaay too much for that bs. Showers are for the evenings when a few minutes of sleep aren't a life or death matter. She usually doodles and daydreams and cheats through classes (and has no qualms of skipping if he has something better to do), doing her homework as often as not and taking smoke breaks in the recesses. She's outside a lot to begin with, especially when it's cold. She'll complain about it but she secretly likes the chill.

During meals she's usually with either Hyunsoo or someone else of her outcast strays, but nowadays more often than not she'll seek out Hyunsoo.

Freetime is either spent halfassing homework, chilling outside, playing guitar, or imposing her company on Hyunsoo or one of the other outsider gang.  She likes to drag Hyunsoo out on the pretense that he spends too much time inside, but most of the time she just wants to be outside and spend time with him. Look it's not like she likes him or anything.

Nothing better than listening to a lie...

Yumi kicks her boot against the foot of her chair. Why is this taking ages?? Jesus, the things she could have been doing in the hour she's been waiting here for some stupid evaluation or whatever. What a waste of time. Not that she had anything actually urgent to do but that didn't mean that waiting in stuffy hallways on a chair that made her hurt was a hobby.

Finally someone comes to get her and leads her into a dimly lit room. Long scarlet curtains block almost all of the sunlight from the windows. It all seems very extra to Yumi, who are they trying to impress? Her, probably. Well, she wasn't.

The heavy door slams shut behind her and she's trapped with a masked young man. There i something about his eyes, basically the only part of his face she could see, something familiar. One of the teachers, maybe? She can't tell. Whoever it is certainly has a flair for the dramatic.

The man taps his clipbord with a pen before motioning for her to take a seat. So much for conversation, huh? Man of few words she guessed. All of this is so unnecessarily extra it's almost laughable the extends to which they'd gone to try and intimidate her. Pffft, they'll have to try a whole lot harder than this.

Yumi sits down on the chair with her own dramatic flair and smiles her most sarcastic smile at the man. Do your worst, weirdo.

The man then leans back into his chair, with a soft squeak."Shall we begin?"

"So you can speak!" Yumi feigns surprise. Pity, it would've been a whole lot more fun if they'd had to use sign language. The man doesn' seem affected. but Yumi sure is already having fun. You have to make your own joy, right?

Please Introduce yourself... and whatever else you feel like adding about yourself. Be as brief, or as long as you would like.

"I'm No Yumi."

The man looks at her expecting more.

Yumi stares back defiantly. As short as she liked, huh? Well that's all he has to know, then.

What are you opinions about Ledrith Academy AS A WHOLE? Like how things are set up. Do you think it's Good, Bad... maybe you don't care at all, and just want this interview to end as fast as possible. I wouldn't blame you.

"I think that introducing a color-coded class system is an instant ticket to bullying and division, but hey, I haven't studied how to set up school systems that aren't hell for half its students, and enabling the other half's power trip." She shrugs. "Who am I, right?"

How ABOUT YOUR CLASSES, YOUR TEACHERS, AND YOUR CLASSMATES. How do you feel about them?

"Mixed bag, but aren't they always?" She shrugs again. It would be nice to feel like the teachers had the students wellbeing in mind but hey, can't have everything. She very much doubted this weirdo did, anyway, he was likely just another extension of the creepiest parts of the school and he sure wasn't getting anything from her

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO, OR ACCOMPLISH AFTER YOUR GRADUATE FROM LEDRITH? THERE ARE MANY OPTIONS YOU CAN TAKE.

That one actually takes her by surprise. She hesistates. She doesn't really know, part of her doesn't think they'll let her leave even if she's seen people graduate before no problem. there's just a gut feeling of wrongness about everything. She composes herself. Do. Not. Show. Weakness. "I want to go home to my sister and go to university and live a normal life. With my green powers that should not be an issue, should it?" She looks him right in the eyes, chin raised, challenging him to disagree. There is only the scratch of the pen on the clipboard.

NOW ABOUT YOUR ABILITY. Tell me about it. How do you feel about being one of the magically gifted?

Hah. "Well I mean, all I can do is make other people useless. There's some satisfaction to be found there" There is a lot of satisfaction to be found there. "But let's not pretend I'm going to be leading the X-Men any time soon." Of course she'd like something that was actually cool and flashy and whatever, but honestly being untoucheable was pretty darned neat, she wasn't complaining... too much.

DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BE HERE? AT LEDRITH? Be honest, or you could lie. You won't be hurting my feelings.

Yumi snorts. Oh, so he has feelings does he.  What to say to that one. Kids here generally hate me because I make them feel as powerless as they are. It's aight aside from the fact that everyone in charge feels super ig shady.  Ahn Chul is great, love that guy. "The sea is nice."

That should be all. Unless you have anything else to say to me, the doors are right behind you.

Yumi got up with the same dramatic flair "I won't let them hit me on the way out," she says with a sarcastic little wave. Seriously, she waited an hour for that. What a ing waste. Byeeeee, asshat.

HAVE A NICE DAY!
