— ryuu is just average when it comes to his body - average height, average weight. he definitely have, what they call, "thicc thighs" and he has been hitting up on gym every since then.

other than that, he has a unique eye shape (which makes him special hehe) and strong jawline. he has piercings, but he only wears earrings occasionally.

he does not have any tattoos - but he does have a small birthmark on his right elbow. his current hair colour is black.

this man puts comfort as his number one.
— he prefers to wear simple t-shirts or clothes, sweaters, sweatpants. he rarely wears sleeveless shirts. long coats and leather jackets is his favourites - but will only wear it on winter season.

ryuu is a courage person - he is not afraid of trying something new. in spite of being fear or danger, discomfort or pain, he is willing to give commitment, to make plans or decisions. he is full of compassion; he feels sympathy and pity easily for someone who is suffering with any kind of problems. and he would do anything to alleviate their sufferings. it has been known that he always buy foods for younger trainees in cube entertainment. he knows the struggles and sufferings - so he tried to help with what he have. he's also self-discipline. he has his own principles and desired goals to reach, and he knows how to overcome his desires and feelings when he needed to. humility - he has confident yet modest opinions of his own self-importance. he doesn't see himself as "too good" or "the best" compared to other people. with this trait, he has a mindset where he only desire to express and experience gratitude for what he has, rather than expecting that he deserve more.

he's an emotional man, especially if it's about his personal life. he has been through a lot of things, and it made him to be much more sensitive. it made him to understand himself more. so, he tends to avoid any topics that is sensitive for him. he's also competitive; like back in his trainee days, he's eager to debut. so, he work hard and come classes in time. sometimes cube ent. made some mini events for the trainees and of course - ryuu would be the first person to participate.

neutroricism - he tends to respond with negative emotions to threat, frustration and lost. he often feels anxious, frustration and jealousy if he went through a hard time. it was bad for him when his debut was a failure - and believe me, he felt so much worse. since he's an emotional person, it makes it everything harder. thus, it takes time for him to move on. he's a quiet person - in terms of deep thinking and keep everything to his own. he's not the type to vent it out. sure, he might talk about it here and there but it is very rare. he spends time reflecting on issues and thinking deeply what matters to him. lastly, he's a short-tempered. he definitely bad at anger management issues - so he would probably throw tantrums here and then. it's not serious, but sometimes it could get too serious.

BACKGROUND:

ryuu was born in japan, and live there with his parents - danno tatsuya and han joohyun. it was normal for this family. ryuu was happy with everything that he got. ryuu was active in his music club while he's in elementary school. he performs here and then, singing mostly to anime opening songs. he didn't go to music instrument class (due to financial issues) but sometimes he would stay in his friend's house, learning guitar with his friend.

everything breaks down when he's in middle school. his parents divorced; their relationship didn't work out and the fact that his father, danno tatsuya is being unfaithful makes it even more worse. his mother, han joohyun decided to move back to south korea. ryuu wanted to move out too (because he loves his mother more than anything), but his mother told him to study well until he graduates. ryuu didn't want to but it was his mother's wish. so he stayed in japan.

as time pass by, he eventually went to south korea to visit his mother. of course they always talk on phones but he really misses her. it breaks his heart when he saw his mother's life - small apartment house with small fridge. a room single bed with no aircond. he was emotional to see his mother's state. his mother just shrug it off, convinving ryuu that she's doing fine. that's when ryuu decided to move in with her.

ryuu helped his mother selling tteokbeokki in seoul when he gets back from school. one day, he was on his shift and a mysterious man walked towards him. ryuu smiled, asking to the man if he wanted to order. the man instead gave a card, saying that he's interested to cast ryuu. the man explained about the auditions, saying how it would help him and his future.

ryuu have never ever think about auditioning - but because of his situation, his mom's situation... maybe it's worth to try.

STAGE NAME:  ryuu  (리유)  —   his real name, short and simple!

PERSONA:  the dragon  —  just like his name (ryuu means dragon in japanese), he wanted people to feel dangerous with what he's about to show to everyone. like dragon, he knows how to spit fire.

TRAINEE YEARS:  5 years (2011-2016)

TRAINEE LIFE:

ryuu got accepted into cube ent. after a few auditions - he didn't believe that he would be able to do it. he was happy, seeing that there's a new future awaits him. he told his mother, promising that he will be successful for his mother.

it was hard for ryuu, he wasn't used to these whole hardcore training. but he knew he have to push himself harder. he knew that he needs to be competitive and convince everyone that he's ready to debut. so for 5 years, he have been joining hardcore practice classes (because he has no basics).

on early 2017, ryuu debuts in a boygroup called "wonderz" with saeryun, taejoon, henry, cheo and jaehyung. all of them were happy, excited to pursue their career on stage.

sadly, their debut was nothing but average to netizen's eyes. sure, they do have some fans - but there was too much rivals in these industries. even after wonderz made a few comebacks, they still haven't be able to steal the netizen's eyes. it was frustrating, especially for ryuu. 

their albums sales decreases, making their company questioned if they should let wonderz continue their dreams. for one last chance - their ceo gives them another chance to make their redemption in produce 101.

WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO BE AN IDOL?

there's a lot of reasons, if you ask me. idol is not just about singing and dancing, or being funny. it's all about how you can reach your dreams while enjoying yourself with people around you. the most important is - idol is someone that can inspire people to follow their journey to become a successful person. and i want to become that kind of idol.

i've failed once and i'm not going to fail twice. i know i and the other members would stand a chance in produce, so i'm here for our redemption. there's a lot of things that people need to know about me, too.

singing and rapping, but i heard that people are scared when i started to rap.

i'm quite versatile. i believe that i can pull anything out! but i'll prefer to go with y and dark concepts.
