background
During changing times Thailand slip into two separate regions. West Siam and East Siam. They developed two different royal families who were constantly fighting each other. King Nakhun of West Siam ruled for many years, however when a rogue assassin from East Siam manages to kill him, it s his younger brother onto the throne and forces the two regions to come to an agreement.

Ever since she was born Dao lived a quiet and simple life in the country. Though her father Prince Thinnakorn was second in line, he always assumed his brother would have a child. He had married a commoner anyway, there wasn’t a chance him and his family would need to worry about the crown. So they got a quiet secluded mansion, and they lived in peace. Dao had two older stepsisters from her stepmother, but they stuck to themselves and wouldn’t dare pay attention to Dao unless it was to boss her around. Because of this she was alone most of the time, helping the servants and riding horses. Eventually she was enrolled in Academy Regal and made friends with a lot of her fellow royals.

Eventually when her uncle is assassinated, without an heir, the crown falls on her father, making her the heir to her kingdom. The whole event was a scandal, and East Siam having themselves been rocked by a plague and their economy only just hanging by a thread...decided to offer a truce. They would unite their kingdoms at last, by marrying their children who were both heirs. Now not only would Dao be training to be Queen all of a sudden, but she would also need to marry a pompous boy she hated.

Traits: Good - Thoughtful, Kindhearted, Loyal Bad - Weak, Self-conscious, Naive

Dao always wants to make a good impressions, and do what is right for her family and the kingdom. So whenever she does something she always considers who it will affect and how it will effect them. This is a trait that makes her a very thoughtful person, and considerate to those around her. She is very kind hearted, and will go out of her way to make people happy or cheer them up when they are down. This may sometimes be at her own expense, but it isn’t as bad when she knows she has done something good for someone else. No matter what test she is put to, when she makes a vow to someone, she keeps it. She vowed to keep her kingdom and her family safe, and so marrying the prince of East Siam is the way to do it. She won’t turn her back on he duty as princess and future queen, and neither will she teen her back on her duty to her family and those she loves and cares about.

No matter how determined she is to do the right thing, she is extremely weak in the face of adversity. That is in the sense that she isn’t good at standing up for herself, and instead of standing her ground to get what she wants, she’ll often let others walk all over her in exchange. She isn’t confident in herself, that’s an understatement. She grew up being undermined by her step family, in both capabilities and looks. Having been the role of heir to the throne on her on top of that, made her even more self-conscious. More then ever she can’t screw up, and if she isn’t careful she could ruin everything. At least that’s what she keeps telling herself. Most of these problems step from the fact she is too trusting of other, and will believe them due to the slightest kindness. If she is going to be Queen, she needs to learn to overcome her naive tendencies and gain strength.
What makes you different from all the royals before you?
Perhaps it’s the fact I’m willing to do anything for my people? I know many great royals, but also just a song many who could careless about how their governing would effect the common folk. They put our trust in us, and the last thing I want to do is fail them. So I’m willing to do anything. Even marry a man I barely know and don’t love.
how will you handle the technology crisis?
Well...I don’t know much about it. So I’ll speak with our scientists and try to figure out the most reasonable solution. They are the experts so I’m sure they know best.
do you even want to lead a kingdom?
I’ll be honest I never in my life thought this would happen...but it is, and I don’t have a choice. What I do know, is that I want to keep our people safe and happy. So it doesn’t matter what I want or don’t want.
what is your favorite way to show you care to your people?
I’ve always enjoyed spending time in the villages, or visiting orphanages. My maid was an orphan but I wanted to help her and so I took her to life with me and work for me. I’ve said it before and I will again...I’d do anything for them, and I think getting married and preparing to be Queen is the best way to show them just how devoted I am.
can you bring peace and harmony to your kingdom?
My father would bring fortune tellers to the mansion when I was young for amusement, but I don’t believe anyone can truly tell the future. But I do hope by getting married I’ll be able to unite our two kingdoms and bring peace, ending the constant war.

”You’re my wife...can’t you tell I love you?!”

Niran always knew he would be king one day. He just didn’t know he would be king of a united Siam, and marrying the princess of his kingdom’s enemies at the age of 18. Finding all that out only a week after his official coronation as Crown Prince made it even more shocking.

Niran and Dao knew each other from afar all their lives. They were raised to be enemies, not lovers. As a bratty ten year old he would shove her in the Academy courtyard during break and laugh when her dress got scuffed. However to say there was only animosity would be a lie, because a few years ago, a masquerade ball was held. They didn’t know it was one another, but they shared a magical night of dancing, and a passionate kiss. When they removed each others masks, it was quiet the shock.

Now knowing they needed to marry one another and life together complicates things. Especially when they can’t tell if the tension during their arguments is hatred, or ual. Love is complicated, but these two end up slowly learning they aren’t that different, and that they need to rely on one another to be able to rule their people properly. It does get more complicated when a mysterious man tries to get Dao to fall for him, and one of her step sisters and an old flame both try to win Niran’s heart.
