Adblocker going crazy on AFF

I have Adblock Plus and while reading through my story - I noticed it was at 155 ads blocked. Now like 2 mins later it's at almost 1k - has AFF been compromised or is my adblocker going nuts? My friend who doesn't have the ad blocker said they were reading a story on AFF and an ad popped up saying they won something on google, they didn't click it, but that has never happened to me before...

O.o

Update - it's not adblocker going nuts, this is literally the only site doing it. Why are the ads going so crazy on here???

Okay, so they need to get rid of this apester thing. The last time I popped on it was up to 1k blocks in 3 mins.

I read the aff at the mobile browser and Apester come out from nowhere and some adv pop up in the middle Of the story. I remember about the time back then when aff ask us to tell them if there's any pop up adv because there shouldn't be any. And now, seems like aff use some adv on purpose because i don't see any warning to report anymore and honestly it's really annoyed my peaceful time reading the story with pop up adv in the middle of the story :) i really need them to fix this thing.

Yo, I've had this same problem and I found out that its because Apester will keep on refreshing the ad even if you block/remove it through Adblock. I know there's a way around it but I was too lazy to find out lol. I'm not sure if it works but you could install Adblock on your other browsers and see if the problem persists.

It’s Apester. The ad count skyrocketed after Apester showed up.
Also, I haven’t had exactly the same experience with pop-up ads as your friend but I’ve had plenty of pop-up ads on AFF as well. It’s counterproductive at best because it completely ruins the experience.
