Note: So I binge-watched all 23 episodes of 'Darling' (that are currently out rn, the 24th and final ep will air this Saturday) in about 4 days and needless to say, I am very much enjoying it.

And whaddya know, my brain loves to mash the things I enjoy together like a pb&j sandwich so here goes nothing...

Hiro - Jongin

Zero Two - Baekhyun

Ichigo - Junmyeon

Goro - Chanyeol

Mitsuru and Kokoro - Sehun and Kyungsoo (eeeep!!)

Zorome - Minseok

Ikuno - Jongdae

Futoshi - maybe someone from btob or an actor dude that's close to kyungsoo 

Miku - Yixing

I would def write Jongin to be a stronger protagonist compared to Baekhyun. Chanyeol wouldn't necessarily be the obvious pairing with Junmyeon (I wouldn't know how to go about that, I would make it awk AF for sure) but both Junmyeon and Chanyeol would be vying for Jongin's attention. 

Not surprisingly, I would have the most fun writing and developing the SESOO pairing. I always do have more fun with the side pairing, oops. 

Jongdae/Junmyeon pairing will be discussed but overall will go for a very OT9/friendship/teamwork value storyline.

I would also heavily consider genderbend to follow the AU and to continue the exploration and fluidity of relationships between characters, their mecha, and their place in this AU/world.

When this anime finishes (unless greenlighted for a S2?!), I'll come back to this and see if my mind has changed.
