— Hard-working : There's a saying 'if you want it, earn it' and Jimin definitely follows that saying. She works hard to get what she wants. She's a top student during her school years and she's a great student council president because she loves listening to others' suggestions. Jimin always try her best to get everything get done and she is one of those people who'll try her best in everything and makes sure that she doesn't screw up anything. She would work her off to get what she wants and she always do it in fair way. She never cheat and doesn't like people who cheats. 

Caring : She makes sure that no one gets left behind because she herself doesn't like being left behind. Jimin always put a lot of cares on people around her and on everything that she does. She deeply care for those who are close to her. This is why some new trainee would always find comfort in her because she always make sure they're okay and help them whenever they need a help.

Intellegence : She's a top student, of course she has this intellegence-aura surrounding her. People around her could 'detect' this aura of her. Whenever she speaks, she always speak nicely and kindly. She has this kind of charm for people around her

Honest : Jimin can't lie, she just can't do it. She's bad at lying. She doesn't like it when people around her lied to her so she never lie to anyone.

Fearless : This trait created her sarcastic trait, she's so bold and honest that she develop this fearless trait. If she doesn't like it, she would say it. She would stand up for anyone who she saw in trouble or danger.

Perfectionist or ambitious : Because of her hard-working trait, she adopt this negative trait. She would do anything all over again if she think it's not perfect enough. She makes sure that she doesn't mess up and do everything up to her standards whi is very high. Because of this triat, she has this condition called OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). her room are very tidy to the point you can't even find any dust in it. She wants to be the best and always put a high standards for herself.

Self— deprecating : When she thinks she fails or can't keep up with her own standards, she would thinks she is the worse out of all. She would cry herself to sleep or hides in the bathroom. She wants to be the best so when she fails, she fall hard. That's why when her debut plan with Irene and Seulgi is scrapped, she's quite depressed.

Sarcastic : An honest person always says what they see or feel, this is exactly what Jimin does. She always comment on something according to what she feels or sees. A lot of people who ask for her opinion know that they must be ready for any sarcasm comment she'll throw to them. 

Strict : Sometimes she appears to be so strict to others who she think are not up to her standards. She's so strict to herself and set a boundaries that she won't cross. Trainees who have trained with her know well about this so whenever there's a group monthly evaluation and they happened t be grouped with her, they actually need no worry because Jimin will always make some guidelines for them and they'll get a great result in the end.

— Jimin was born and raised at Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea. She has one older brother and one younger brother, so she's the only daughter in her family. Jimin's father is a professor at Pusan National University in Oceanography, his name is Min Seunghoon. Her mother is a former Chemistry teacher at Korea Science Academy of KAIST (formerly known as Busan Science Academy) who decides to stop teaching after her youngest son turned six to focus on raising her children, her name is Kang Jinhee. When Jimin turns 12, her mother decided to open up a seafood restaurant to 'keep herself busy' she said. Jimin has an older bother who is four years older than her, his name is Min Sungmin who is currently prosecutors at Seoul Central Disctrict Prosecutors' Office. Her younger brother is three years younger than her, his name is Min Seungmin and he's currently a second year student at Yonsei University, College of Medicine.

Jimin lived close to the beach, Haeundae Beach, so she loves running around near the beach since she was a kid. That's how she got a scar mark on her left arm after fell into a rock on the beach when she was seven years old. She attended Hapdo Kindergarten and Shinjae Elementary School. She was known as a smart student since a kid and her parets even encourage her to puruse academic study seriously like her father. But she loves dancing afte she seen H.O.T on the television. Just like any other girl back then, 1996 was the H.O.T virus year. Every girl loves and a fan of them. Jimin always listeing to their song whenever she feels her brain 'explode' after studying. 

When she's nine years old, she was visiting Seoul with her family. While they're walking along in Hongdae, someone approached her family and asks whether Jimin has interest in becoming a celebrity or not. He gave them his card and told them to contact him if she has any change in minds. Her parents asked her after they get back to Busan. Jimin said she's not really thinking about it. But then she remembered that H.O.T is in the same company (although they disbanded already) but she still want to focus on her study. It's not uuntilsummer 2009 when the same man that gave her his business card met her again in Busan when she just walking back home. He offers her the same offer and that the chance still stand. Finally in winter 2009 she went to Seoul for several audition and finally joined as a trainee in early 2010.

Her father made her promise to finish her study no matter what happen and he'll let her go to be a trainee.

Her father is really liberal and let his children to do anything that they wants. He's open minded and let his children to do anything or pursue anything. People would say by seeing how Jimin's brothers choose their career, they thought their parents are strict which is absolutely wrong. His father loves spending time at home and drawing, he also would make fun of Jimin in joking manner because she can't draw at all. Still can't understand how Jimin got into training at SM while still be able to balanced her college life.

Her mom is a music and chemistry lover, eventually passed down her interest in both music and chemistry. She's a very loving mom who support anything that her children want to do. Teaches her chidrens musical instrumental all by herself.

Although Sungmin is 4 years older than her, Jimin is close with him. He felt like he 'raised' Jimin because he would carry up her around the neighborhood when she was 2 years old while taking Seungmin for a walk to a nearby store to buy ice cream after school. He is very blunt and serious during trials but actually a lazy and funny one. Jimin never understand how the hell he got accepted to SNU that has a competitive admission. He places 1st during his high school and got into the top 0.5% CSAT results. Sungmin would tease Jimin and he calls her Minnie because he found out that Minnie Mouse shares the same birthday with her and he knows that she's not your regular sister. Jimin called him 'Judge Min' or Min-pansanim.

Jimin and Seungmin would argue till dead. Seungmin called her Wangseja because she won't stop bullying him. Seuungmin is very witty and playful towards her, he love to make a jokes and pull a trick on her. He is very clumsy, Jimin doesn't get it how he placed 1st in Busan CSAT and accepted to medicine school. She would start cursing at him because he just can't stay still at once. Can't do normal duty such as washing clothes and dishes. Although they bickers a lot, Jimin loves talking with Seungmin. He calls her wangseja and she calls him psychopath or jeongshinbyeongja (정신병자) because he can't stop pull a trick or prank at her, he won't take off his clothes or give any clothes to wash even after weeks, and he can't even remember where he puts his things.

Hana is Jimin's best friend since she first arrived at Seoul. Hana is a bright and active girl, she is an ice-breaker and also mood-booster for her. Hana is the cousin of EXO's Kai but unlike her cousin, Hana doesn't interested in going to the entertainment industry. He would choose on becoming a chemical engineer because she loves science that much. Hana is the only child in her family and her mother passed away when she was a kid because of cancer, that's why she's close with Jimin's family. They would bicker like sisters but love each other and also care for each ther. Hana would impersonate Jimin's dialect at times, making the latter annoyed and insult at her using her accent. Although she's not a trainee, she got the access to SM and somehow caught up in some-ing relationship with NCT's Taeil.

Kai was her senior and one of the few trainee that was first assigned to accompany some new trainees. He is Hana's cousin so Jimin knows him since the first time she enters the company. Kai is the best trainee in his batch,he would stay up late so Jimin sees him very often. They would use different practice room but always check on each other often, not only Kai but also Seulgi and the three of them earned the name 'Trio Basemant Keeper' as they would used the pratice rooms in th basement often uuntil late night. Kai treat her like his own younger sister, they would quarrel and argue over the smallest thing. He helps her to cope up with her trainee life and she help him to cope up with the real world of idols. He would often ask for her opinion when his ral sisters aren't available. Jimin even saved his number as 'Patient Jongin' in her phone and he saved her number as 'Doctor Min' in his phone. Even when he was still with his girlfriend and having a fight, he would go looking for Jimin and asked her to help him resolve the situation.

They trained together a lot and even grouped together with Irene since 2012 because SM has this trio plan for them. Irene will be in charge of visual, Seulgi in charge of dancing, and imin in charge of singing. Just like S.E.S but then the idea was scrapped because they don't think a trio will work nowadays. Seulgi has been trained three years early than Jimin so she knows about a lot of things. They would run away or take a break where the camera couldn't watch them, eating hamburger in the toilet, even sleeping in the janitors' closet when they need to be early. They come top in their own batch. The both of them have brother so they wuld understand each other more. After Seulgi's debut, she would come to Jimin's dancing practice and bought her some coffee or bubble tea.

— Close friend and another mom • Bae Joohyun (Irene) / 27 / Red Velvet's member /caring, calm, optimistic, and strict / 8 out of 10
Together with Seulgi, the three of them trained together since 2012 and spent the whole 1 year together. Irene will be her place to talk and groaning on things. Irene is like her other mother who wuld prevent her and Seulgi doing weird things. The calmest out of the three. Irene would cheer on her whenever they meet after she debut with Red Velvet. Jimin has Irene's number in her speed dial because 'Irene-mom' is always available. Jimin would also help Irene in her vocal when the older asked her to.

— Jimin came as the new trainee that people would see as someone who doesn't take training serious until they see her practicing every day and night despite her school which is a highly strong academic school, Whimoon High School. Unlike other trainees that attend performing art schools such as SOPA or Hanlim, Jimin attend normal high school where science is exist. So sh knew she must use any time she has to practice and studying. Her only free time is after 7 p.m so she would stay up late because most of the people her age have been trained for two or three years earlier than her. She knows she acks a lot so she pushed herself to the limit. This habit of her brought her to the trainers attention, that's how they came up with the idea f having another S.E.S trio with Seulgi, Jimin, and Irene in it. They trained together for 1 year and more but suddenly the idea was scrapped as EXO debut as a big group, they need another five piece girlband not a trio and trio isn't currently attractive to the market. The they spin their brain and came up with Red Velvet idea. 

Jimin has never met wth failure before so her debut being delayed has been a strong slap to her. She started to sleep in the practice room more frequent than ever. She would sleep with her sciences book as her pillow. During her break at school, she would pratice her singing in the music room until the bell rang. After Red Velvet's debut, the company announced that they will be adding new member to Red Velvet. The candidates were five people but then cut down into three which has Yeri, Jimin, and another trainee who left after it was announced that Yeri will be the one who take the spot for fifth member. Jimin doesn't accept failure in her dictionary so she work her off and the company came up with Blossom a week after Red Velvet's Be Natural promotions and Yeri being the fifth member decided. The company know it's a rush but they trust that with Jimin and the leader's experience, they could bring the group to the top. January has been set for their debut and Jimin constantly being harsher than the trainer to her fellow teammates but that's because she doesn't want them to fail. The members trust her as their 'trainer'.
