I'm sick and tired of people calling Zico 'homophobic' and 'racist' and 'untalented' and 'selfish and/or inconsiderate' because he's not. I felt the need to speak up about it.

False claim #1: "Zico is homophobic'

When he said f****t in his song everyone freaked out and hated on him. A statement was released saying that he did not know what it meant, and an official apology was issued. People didn't believe the statement, though.

'Zico does not have any bias or negative feelings toward homouals and holds respect for them. We would like to apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable.'

Zico was raised a Catholic. As a rule, Catholics avoid matters that the Church doesn't speak of, like LGBT. So a lot of them DON'T know what the word means, some don't even know it's a word. My mom didn't know what it meant until she was in her thirties. So I believe him. Also, a lot of western rappers say it, so Zico probably thought it was just what rappers said. 

Trust me on this, I know. I'm Catholic too.

'No gay, no homo'

He was talking about HIMSELF. He was saying HE was not gay. Nothing homophobic about stating that you aren't gay.

He tweeted against homophobia once too. 

False claim #2: 'Zico is racist'

'I'm yellow race but I got black soul'

This is a Korean saying that's actually a compliment. It means, basically, 'I'm yellow race but I'm talented like a black person.'  Zico was saying he can rap as well as black people, which (judging by experts comments on his rap skills) is a major compliment.

Blame the stylists. Lmao it wasn't his idea. Same goes for Yukwon xD

False claim #3 'Zico is untalented'

I 100% agree. All he does is rap for Block B, rap and sing solo, rap for his little unit thingy with Crush and Dean, produce all his own AND Block B's music, compose and write lyrics to his and Block B's songs, compose/produce/write for other artists, lead Block B, and still find time for his family. Super untalented.

Edit: pretty sure he comes up with their concepts too?

False claim #4 'Zico is inconsiderate'

After the flood thing, he shaved his head as a penance/mortification and apologized several times for offending people. He is a very sweet person, just look deeper.

False claim #5  'Zico is ugly'
