So....... Taeyong

Okay, so as many of you probably know, NCT's Taeyong was recently caught up in yet another scandal, this time involving accusations of bullying during his school years. (For the record, his other scandals were false; this one is apparently true). I have seen many people defending him, and just as many condemning him. But I want to explain why those are both wrong.

Taeyong did do something wrong; something very hurtful. You can't defend that. That much is obvious.

However, this does not define who he is now. This should also be obvious.

Taeyong was around 13, maybe younger, when this happened. That was roughly 11 years ago. And he has sincerely apologized so many times, and cried over his past and his mistakes- and he clearly knows he did something wrong and is genuinely sorry for it. He beats himself up, so to speak, over things that happened years ago. And I'm just wondering, why, if Taeyong has clearly learned from the past, apologized, and worked hard to make up for everything, why cling to the past and judge him based on it? Everyone, and I repeat everyone, has done something wrong before. Taeyong is one of the sadly few people who are actually sorry for what they did. And if people can't accept that, maybe they're in the wrong here as well.

Edit: after reading more on the subject, it appears all TY did was not make friends with a certain person. No one is obligated to make friends with everyone, and if that's really all this is about then I am very, very pissed at everyone making this seem worse than it is. Choosing only popular people as friends is NOT A CRIME; there are kids like that at every school ever, literally. And apparently it isn't confirmed at all. I swear the internet is 90% lies. Sorry Taeyong.......

Of course I can defend taeyong. there is literally no proof of these claims.
also the claims are trivial. did he beat them up? no. did he take their money? no. did he get them kicked out of school? no. what was his crime? he didnt want to be friends with them.
those people lmao i'm sorry if taeyong didn't like them or wasn't interested in being friends with them but he didnt owe anyone friendship. they may theorize on how he picked his friends but how he picked his friends is his business.
people often want to be acknowledged and liked by everyone or specific people but we dont always get what we want. instead of visualizing taeyong as as problem and painting him as a culprit, they should confront their own feelings of low self esteem. because that's what's prompting them to supply trivial crap to the public in order to try to sabotage someone who's about to debut in yet another successful project. its very obvious what they're doing and i'm not here for it.
