quite the funny gal was she, bringing laughter due to her rather silly remarks. over the years, she had grown to accept the idea of being a laughing stock as long as it wasn't for something like her making a mistake in singing in front of a huge audience. she liked to make people smile with her dad jokes, slapstick and dumb moments. she's also very humble, never one to gloat about her own skills and the sort. she was always a believer that there's someone else there that existed who was much better than she was in at least one aspect. sometimes she exaggerated this trait to be more humorous and become self-deprecating.
perhaps her most admirable trait, though, was how aspiring she was. she was dedicated to her dreams of being a singer. she wished to be a singer with timeless songs to her name. even when she became afraid of the stage at one point, she had tried to rid of that fear because she truly felt that her goal in life was to just be a singer. she would overcome struggles because she wanted to sing on stage and do what she found to be was her best talent.
she's reserved and not one to easily show herself when with unfamiliar people or in unfamiliar environments. yes, she could be humorous and unrestrained but that's only when she's at ease. so initially, she always seemed more docile and shy, letting others do more talking and getting a bit flustered when in the spotlight. however, once you get to know her—you start to forget she was once reserved. this was because once you get to know her, she became uninhibited. no filter, free to say her opinions, demanding even playing fields with the boys when they play games and bluntly stating dumb answers without realizing it—she didn't hold back at all. she was a fun woman once brought out of her shell and would really do things that surprised others such as showing how competitive she could truly be.
ah yes, how competitive she was. this girl was ready to throw away her angelic image when it came to fun games. if it was about pushing each other off of the floating platform on the swimming pool, she was going to latch onto it with all her might. mario kart was just asking for her to go crazy and cursing up a storm that could make sailors blush. she may not be the strongest there was, but she was not going to lose games. it mainly showed during physical games, video games, and the sort. admittedly, she loved winning and wasn't afraid to see it. as humble as she may be when reserved and honest about how she felt about her skills, that didn't stop her from going full throttle when the competitive spirit lit up.
due to one incident in her life, it had made her insecure about herself. it wasn't that big of a mishap but to her, it was big enough to make her gain insecurities. she became less confident and withdrawn, fearful of messing up and being known as a failure. as much as she's a great singer, she tends to be unable to put out her full potential on stage. she can also be quite awkward initially, not really knowing what to say or do in situations as she found herself in settings which she wasn't so used to or people she had rarely or never met before. she tends to bring laughs with how awkward she could be, though.
finally, she's rather silly. as in, she wasn't really the brightest bulb in the box. she did study, but it's never been really her cup of tea. she was average at most, with some information sticking to her mind, but overall she wasn't all that smart. moreover, she didn't really try to catch up with the latest news and that led to her giving out rather idiotic remarks and a lot of insults on her intelligence.

despite being born in Korea, most of her early life was spent in Indonesia. she had been there since she was a baby, studying nearby the apartment she lived in. in there, she'd meet friends and play countless of games with them. they taught her traditional Indonesian games such as congklak, whilst she showed them jenga. they found out games that they both did in their own cultures ( because her mother was quite the nostalgic person who enjoyed showing her what traditions korea had ).
perhaps her most favorite moments were the ones where she gets to sing, whether it would be a poor attempt in gugak, dangdut or 80s english pop songs. she loved to bring everyone up to dance, to hear them praise her, and enjoy the moments with her. it's the simple, small things such as that which planted the seeds of her dreams to be a singer. and that's truly all she wanted, to be able to go on a stage and to convey all she wished in the form of her melodious voice.
when her parents realized what her dreams were, they had asked if that was truly what she wanted in life—suggested that she should think about it once again for they were aware of how difficult the entertainment industry could be ( her mother was a huge fan of celebrities, of course, she's aware of their struggles and didn't want her dear child suffering the same way—whilst her father knew her mother's rants about how badly treated her favorite celebrities were to be wary too ), but she had persisted greatly and kept on singing for she wanted to be a great singer that could make everyone who listened to her to be entranced, impressed, and connected to her.

she ended up moving schools at eight, due to her original school shutting down from bankruptcy. this led to her finding herself in a new school with a not so completely new set of other classmates ( because some of her former classmates had moved to the same school with her ). it was relatively new, and moreover she now had to also learn Chinese which she found to be a great hassle ( probably why she was barely passing the subject ).
the school system was rather different as it was following the singaporean system, and it did throw her off a bit but she managed well to adapt. she still sang whenever she could, though. she happily threw herself at any events that required singing, even if she was just a backup in the choir. it was just how she was, and she knew she was greatly ambitious. but it was because of that ambition that she found herself losing her voice during her first solo stage during an event. it had been a greatly embarrassing moment for her, and from then she had been scared of singing in front of an audience who'd end up jeering and laughing at her mistake.
even so, she still sang in her own space, when there's no one to sing to she would keep on singing. because the dream's still there even if she's scared of going on stage.
chapter iii.
due to her messing up that single stage, she retrieved to a shell, being more withdrawn than before. she was afraid to be an embarrassment once again, so she was less forward in any social situations. however, it's difficult to not get close to a class that was going to be with her until she was sixteen, so she found herself playing with them once again ( admittedly, the games were too fun and it was okay to fail horribly in them ).
however, singing on stage was still a different story. that would take more than her own class to rid off the trembling she gained when she was at the center of attention. she had been quite the mess during show and tell, but thankfully she had supportive and understanding teachers who were willing to help her out with that problem of her's.
her parents were also someone that had helped her out greatly during these times. they hadn't been supportive of her dream to be a singer, however, they were aware it's her passion and didn't enjoy seeing her struggling. so they tried their best to assist her, became supportive, and was ready to be there for her. she honestly cried when they told her they believed she'd be a wondrous singer, as they had been so against it before. that had probably been the major push for her to trying to get back into trying to go on stages, starting with small crowds of people she trusted. then to her class, her grade, and more.
one step at a time, her voice wavered less and her body movements became less stiff. there were still tremors, but it was much less violent than before. and slowly, it gets easier to sing her full potential in front of an audience.
chapter iv.
after she graduated from her school at age seventeen ( yes, it was a strange system ), her family decided to move back to korea. that was because she had asked for it. the reason behind that was because, admittedly, the girl's a huge fan of kpop and korean variety shows. well, her and her family. and she had figured that if she wanted to be a successful singer, she could show it off in the korean entertainment industry.
she did come back to korea from time to time prior to permanently moving back in, after all, that was the country her family was from. so at least the country wasn't a total stranger to it. still, it took some time to get used to it.
not only that but she had to get into a new school ( college ) too. she hoped it would be as easy-going as back in indonesia, where her class and teacher managed to spend two periods of their subject on the hunger games simulator and making comics out of it. but of course, the system was different in korea. admittedly it's not as bad as she thought it would be, however it was still bad. she couldn't believe how dedicated people were in getting good grades. yes, tehre were students like that too in her previous school but it was still more than her's. she felt rather ashamed being in this new class of her's when she remembered how her whole class once cheated on chinese so blatantly because the teacher gave up on all of them.
so, she felt a bit out of her element there. it also felt a bit awkward with how the boys treated her more like a woman in this new school. she had been close with the boys of her previous school as they practically grew up with each other, and in there she had made sure that gender be damned if they were going to try and get the ball from her they better tackle her properly. so, she didn't really enjoy how playing with the boys in her new school led to them trying to give her handicaps and the sort. worse, she was a year younger than everyone else in there.
another drawback of being in korea was that she wasn't fully comfortable with it just yet. there were new people, different culture, and more that made it different to indonesia. this also meant that going on stage here was far more daunting then back in indonesia to her. she was more afraid to sing in her native country, and she found herself having to regain confidence once again.
chapter v.
after she graduated college, she had decided to try and go do live performances of small degrees. like the sort in small, relatively unknown cafes. the beginning times she had covered her face with a mask due to being so shy. miraculously, for the cafe that was, it gained more customers after a video of her singing went viral. she had been so shocked at the number of people who would come to the cafe to listen to her but it had also helped boost her confidence greatly.
when she was twenty-two, she had actually been asked by a friend of her mother's who worked as a part of one of her favorite shows—i can see your voice. she wasn't completely confident but as the episode she was going on had one of her favorite idols ( 2pm ) as the guests, she could not help but decide to go for it.
it had been quite the experience to eb on the show. she had gotten extremely shy when they praised her looks, but also found herself being seen as a most likely tone-deaf singer due to her looks. so this must be how the singers felt when the audience, judges, mcs and guests thinks they were probably not good when they were. moreover, it had been quite terrifying to sing on stage, especially in front of celebrities that she had admired for years. but she tried her best, and even if she was eliminated instead due to them not believing she was a great singer, she did her best to sing. and once she did it felt like she was just living in the moment and letting herself loose.
she had actually enjoyed by how distraught people were realizing that she was talented. although, she was also shy from the shower of praises and squealed a bit a when leeteuk came to her side and praised her greatly. overall, it was a great experience and she had gotten signatures of and pictures with many celebrities she loved that day. moreover, she got people from different companies asking her to join them.
the business card she had gotten first, though, was from milky way entertainment. and because she had greatly appreciated it, she couldn't help but decide to join the company. plus, large companies frankly intimidated her.

despite that, she may be one of the ones bringing out the petty side to her due to the competitive games she managed to dragged yeonjin into. she didn't regret it one bit, though ( and may have found her pettiness really amusing to be honest ).

honestly, she didn't feel older than him at all. he was so reliable that she's rather in disbelief at how prepared he always was. probably called him 'mom' once when she got close to him too.
when she grew to be more comfortable with him, she probably dragged him to game nights to chill out because in her eyes, she felt that shigeru did a lot for the group and needs some relaxation.

won't go too much in details here, but she's alright with the staff. some of them were people she weren't so close with, others were people she would hang out frequently.
despite being a not so great dancer, she and jeon doyoon related a lot. as a fellow person who suffered stage fright, she found herself visiting him and talking about her struggles with it because he understood. he was someone she went tocared for greatly and she tried her best to not stress him out, knowing how he was. she would try her best to make the rebellious trainees to not trouble him so much and will fight for him if she has to
another person she's close to was im jaeyoung, which was quite the surprise due to how she initially was with strangers. especially since he didn't give such a great expression when he was trying to get into her pants the first time they met. however, one night of mario kart and allying against an insanely overpowered npc led to a sort of bond that shined when they were gaming together. a terrifying duo in games, they were going to either ruin you or betray each other.
other notes to take about her relationships was that she's closer to the brighter, friendlier members such as nijiro yoi, hamano chou, and mama boo ( actually calls him by mama too ). they made it easier to get out of her shell and soon she'd be joking with them happily.
moreover, there was her fandom friend a.k.a aleesha supreeleela. she and aleesha would scream about their favorite kpop groups together and gush about their favorite stars. there was also elizabeth alexia alastrina, who probably had the best impression on her mainly because during their first meeting—she saw elizabeth referencing hetalia and her fangirl self couldn't help but throw out her references too. that was how they bonded.

2016 - 2018.
being a trainee was hard in all honesty. plus, she was alone in this unfamiliar company, and frankly she was regretting her choice in joining the company. however, her ambition of being a singer outweighed the discomfort and she tried to soldier on.
she showed off talent in singing and rapping, but her dancing had always been awkward. fortunately, doyoon was a wonderful coach and had been the most understanding of her troubles on being on stage. he was one of the ones she was closest to and wanting to make him proud, she tried her best to be a decent enough dancer.
moreover, she had to get closer to the other trainees. she didn't wish to be awkward with her possible future members when they debuted, after all. thankfully, the other trainees ( read: yeonjin ) was a social butterfly and she managed to interact with them and the others through them. soon, she showed off her uninhibited side and grew comfortable in the company taht she was willing to hast game nights if they had the time for it.

she gave him an unimpressed look. that would have shaken her up before they got closer ( a game of mario kart wherein they had to ally together against a totally overpowered npc can really create bonds between two people ), but now she was just amused and so very done with the man. instead, she tried to maintain a calm disposition ( even if this still felt rather awkward to her. which was weird when she thought about it, after all she had been on i can see your voice before and that had cameras all over her ).

yoi gave her a reassuring look as she took a deep breath and stayed poised. smiling, she began to introduce herself "hello, i am bae haein! i'm one of the main vocals of celestial. i hope to be a vocal that could touch your hearts."
how does it feel to finally debut?
"honestly, i'm scared but excited. i'm...i'm not really good on stage, it still scares me a bit, but i want to do my best! i want to be a singer that i had always dreamt to be and that's what makes me excited." she gives a smile, determination shining in her eyes.
how does it feel debuting in a co-ed group? do you get along with the opposite members?
"it doesn't feel so awkward in my opinion. at first it was a bit weird but that's how i usually am with people." a sheepish grin and rub on the back of head. "and i do! some of them even call me hyung instead..." a sigh and fond shake of her head as she recalled how some of the members called her that.
what inspired you to be an idol, and do you have anyone you look up to?
"to be honest i just really wanted to be a singer at first. but then i got into kpop and fell in love with it. i love sechs kies, g.o.d, shinhwa, 2pm, super junior, girl's generation, 2ne1, brown eyed girls, god, i could list them all! they inspired me to wanting to be an idol. plus...i thought i'd feel more at ease with a group than going solo." she eased more as teh interview went on, smiling lightly as she did so.
are there any special moments during your trainee days that you would like to share with us?
special moments, her mind instantly went to the rare times they had free time and she and the rest would play a game of uno with all ten of them. it was a complete mess, it lasted for hours, everyone was messing each other over, friendships were broken and made, people wanted it to be over but everyone wanted to win. it had been a war that was valiantly and stupidly fought, she recalled how she constantly hoarded cards to mess with people and the many storms of cursing that went by that day. not even shigeru, the soft child, was able to leave it unsacthed, not holding a grudge and not annoyed. truly, it was a special moment they had. suddenly, a snap from an annoyed jaeyoung brought her back to reality. she noticed the twitch of his eyes and concerned look yoi had. ah, was that how war flashbacks felt like? she gave a serious look and only stated "uno is the only war we ever went through."
huh, wonder if they'd edit out the sound of jaeyoung's facepalm there.
what is your role in the group?
"well, i've been called the dad because of my dad jokes....i am also the unanimous translator for whenever, if we ever, go to indonesia." she chuckled lightly. "i'm also the game enthusiast who loves to play a lot of games with everyone."
what would you like to achieve in the future with the group?
"i just wish for us to be happy and successful. i want all of us to get attention, to get ourselves out there and hope that we would be loved. i hope that i could be a useful member with my singing too." she stated sincerely.
is there anything you would like to do with the group other than your usual schedule?
"games! we can have fun with any sort of games. or i'd really love to bring them to indonesia and show them the sides to it that i found to be stunning. ever seen green canyon? or seram? they'll love the place." she grinned brightly as she suggested those ideas, hoping that she could manage to do such things with the group int he future.
if you could join one program in the near future, what would it be?
"just one?" she looked almost offended by the question, biting her lips as she mulled it over.
