Timeskip to when she enters middle school. The load of schoolwork became large suddenly, and she's under a lot of stress to get good grades and become a model daughter, like her parents want her to be. However, instead of the sciences that her parents insisted on studying, she prefers the arts, and often escape to attend dance lessons and theatre lessons. Her parents soon found out and banned her from the lessons.
falling into a dark and deep pit of depression, she shuts herself up and stops socialising with others. It wasn't until her brother introduced her to Kpop that she found passion in living once more, and escapes her parents' hold to dance again.
Seeing that it was pointless to unleash fury on her, her parents and Suhyo made a deal; as long as she gets top marks in her college entrance exams, especially in the sciences, she can do whatever she wants.
And so began the days of throwing herself headfirst into her studies. She studied like there's no tomorrow, and this time, she really got top marks in her exams. Her parents, having promised her, let her go, and she enrolled into a university that specialise in performing arts.

being both Chinese, they got along well instantly when Suhyo was training at jyp. Since she was girly and doesn't really get along with the other girls at the agency, she decided to get acquainted with the boys. When she was still at jyp, they were named the troublemaker duo in the agency, and basically wrecked Havoc - in a good way. After Suhyo left jyp, they still kept in touch and contact each other frequently.

sanghyuk is a charismatic and caring individual who just melts into a small ball of fluff and sass offstage. He likes having fun, and has this bright smile that just makes everyone love him instantly. Of course, he isn't nicknamed the 'evil maknae' for nothing. With his love of bullying his hyung Leo, and his sassy and playful comments that he likes to hurl at his hyungs, he can be quite a handful. However, sanghyuk can be quite caring and helpful when he wants to, and will help everyone with a smile on his face. Generally, he's a helpful individual with just the smallest sign of sassiness and sarcasm.
love story it was literally a love story. At least, to Suhyo. Both she and sanghyuk went to the same dance studio pre-debut, so they went a long way back. Back then, they were friends, but good friends. And after sanghyuk went to jellyfish and Suhyo to jyp, they didn't keep in contact much since they were always busy.
timeskip to when Sanghyuk was about to debut. He was caught in the middle of a survival show, but since jellyfish decided to bring in a few trainees from the Big Three, Suhyo was there, and they had to pretend not to recognise each other.
However, off camera, they talked a lot, especially about their lives and what was currently going on in their careers. Hongbin saw them chatting heartedly, and teased them about their relationship. Sanghyuk went bright red, but Suhyo merely laughed and socialised with him.
It wasn't until 2013 that Suhyo formally saw sanghyuk again. When she saw VIXX onstage, she almost didn't recognise them and fangirled over them, causing the other main dancer of the group to stare at her. Realising that sanghyuk was in the group, she was even more excited since VIXX has already became her favourite group.
When she debuted, she suddenly got a call from sanghyuk, who promised he would be at her showcase. After her performance, she hugged sanghyuk out of relief of finally debuting and having a friend at the performance,

at first, she auditioned for jyp, where she immediately got accepted. However, after 2 years of work, she felt that she was going nowhere with her training, and was contemplating whether to quit or not when her dance videos were discovered by YG scout. Thus, he tracked her down, and Suhyo bid jyp goodbye after a long period of training, and went to YG instead.
At yg, she immediately showcased her talent in dancing, but it wasn't enough. Suhyo was getting frustrated, but she tells herself that as long as she pulls through, then it will be fine.
