May He Rest In Peace.

Sorry about the sudden post. I dont post things often, and I know this won’t be as neat and organized as I want it to be.

Regarding Kim Jonghyun’s death on the 18th of December, I would like to send my deepest condolences to his family and friends, and also to his colleagues and the people he had worked with.

Truth be told, I am not a Shawol. I never got the exact chance of delving into the fandom, or getting to know the five members’ personalities. However, when a good friend of mine took me to the SHINee concert that was held in spring of 2016, I got to see all of them up close. To think that one of them has left as an angel, as a star in the sky, is unbelievable news to me.

I have heard various stories that he had depression, or was emotionally unstable. We will never know what conditions he was in that led to his final decision, but we are all sure that he had suffered. I deeply hope that he is in a better place now.

For all of those who are reading this blogpost - show appreciation to your idol right now. May that be your bias or anyone who you support, tell them that they mean something to you. And if you know anyone who is suffering right now, get some help. A little help can go a long way.

This is coming from someone who has actually considered such toxic thoughts in their mind some while ago. This is coming from a person who once suffered from anxiety and mild depression. Looking back on it, it was foolish thinking of such thoughts, but then again, when you’re so focused on the negative, you forget all the support and love you receive from around you.

Stay strong, shawols. Stay strong, SHINee. Stay strong, everyone. Don’t give up on hope. Things do get better.
