Faceclaim: Kang Seulgi
Appearance: Yura stands at 164cm and weighs in at around 50kg, her body isn't oddly propotioned even though her siblings seem to be. She is of a slim but muscular build that comes with her being a long-term dancer and yes, she does have slightly noticeable abs. Her face is also very slim and her brown eyes are hooded, the rest of her facial features are normal spare the small mole on the side of her nose. One of her most noticeable features is her tan skin, which for a majority of her life she grew to hate but after meeting her friends, she became convinced that her skin was beautiful. Her smile is also a rather prominent feature of hers, with her eye smile too. She has two tattoo's, one is a small arrow on her ankle and the other is the date she met Brooke who has a matching one. (gay, they know).
Fashion: Her usual style is nothing out of the ordinary, she dresses stylishly but comfortably as naps in odd places are usually one of her favourite things and that can be hard to do in tight clothing. However she does own a strangely large collection of scarves and is usually always seen wearing one, maybe not in Summer but you can definetely expect her to find ways to wear it, if not around her neck. The clothes she wears when she's dancing are definetely more revealing because who wants to be dancing for hours on end in thick clothing? Nobody. This includes shorts, crop tops, see-through shirts and sometimes sports bras. She eventually learned to be confident with her body to these items do not bother her (except maybe when Jimin has to pick Taehyung's jaw up from the damn floor). Somehow, Brooke managed to get her into clothing made of lace and silk, which she previously found too fancy but it is now one of her favourite choices.

One of the main things that Yura is passionate about is dancing, she started when she was only a little girl and from that point experienced a lot of hardships and difficulty throughout her goal to master the art of dance. But she never once backed down and persevered through every difficulty she faced. That's how she became as passionate as she is. She has experienced head on how great the feeling of doing something she's completely devoted to is and it's pretty much like an addiction for her. So she searches daily for new things to put her heart into and when she does, it's rather beautiful .
"For someone who grew up surrounded by serious politics,
I'm surprised she's as Witty as she is." Kim Namjoon
Her greatest trait (Jimin thinks anyway) is her humour. It's not dark like Yoongi's or random like Taehyung's, it's just little things that she says while not even trying to be funny that get people laughing. Her humour is described as quick but comical and usually most of what she would do or say normally is considered funny. Although Yura never really intends to send them uncontrollable laughter, she still loves the rush and pride she feels when it happens.

While her friends offer their hands every time Yura slips up, she never takes the hand because she believes if she lets her friends help her, she'll never learn to conquer things on her own. Because of this, although Yura has been bruised and burned by what life gives her, she is still stronger than what she would be if her friends helped her all the time and that's all Yura wants.

The one thing she had taken from her parents. Her parents had a lot of experience with people and that made it easy for them to raise their kids because they knew the exact advice to give them. Because of this upbringing, although Yura ended up a little more fun than her mother and father, she did take away how wise they were. This makes her a top candidate to come to for advice and often, she gives it. She has seen the difference her parents advice made for her and would like to do the same for her friends and fans.

Yura wasn't originally as sarcstic as she is present day, but during college she spent a lot of time around Yoongi, fascinated with his music and rap. That's explanation enough and now their sarcasm is almost identical. On a few occasions, Yoongi and Yura make the same exact sarcastic comment to things, it actually shocks them how much they became alike just from Yura hanging around him and listening to his music.

She does not cry as often anymore and if she does then something completely terrible must have happened.

Yura is not a very obedient person and she finds it hard to by any rules that aren't her own or Brooke's. She will put up a fight to the bitter end until either Brooke has to persuade her or if it's about moving then until Taehyung or Hoseok have to throw her over their shoulder and carry her away. Sometimes even though she knows it's best to listen to everybody else, her pride gets in the way and causes problems.

There aren't many cases in which Yura would intentionally hurt someone's feelings, unless of course they had ed with her family and friends or in all is a person. But she does have a mouth that cannot be controlled. Since she was raised among people who's daily job was to not hold their tongue, she naturally picked up on this and now cannot stop herself from expressing her opinion. She is trying to get better at being quiet when needed but it is a pretty hard task for her and she has hurt a few of her close friends with her words.

Time is one thing Yura is very insistent on, if you tell her you will be ready or be there for certain time, she will hold it to you. And if you don't meet your word, she becomes quite petty with a few exceptions. Of course, it only really annoys her for the first day and any pettiness afterwards is just plain messing around. Although time isn't the only thing that makes her restless and petty. When things don't happen that should. For example, Brooke and Jungkook's beating around the bush kills her. Literally. Yura feels like throwing herself at a wall every time she has to watch them flirt with each other then not do anything about it.

Yura has always been a keep-to-yourself kind of girl, sure she's open with her words and thoughts but when it comes to the deep and personal stuff, she finds it hard to confide in anyone. She trusts her friends and family but she cannot place her burdens upon their shoulders otherwise she would feel terrible. Sometimes her friends misunderstand her intentions and believe she just doesn't them but it isn't the case. She was just used to bottling up emotions that she believed weren't of any use to the world.

Background:
(Figure 8) Kang Yura was born in Manhattan, New York City to a lower-upper class family so money was never really a problem for her. She was born with an older brother and eventually a younger sister joined her. Her parents were both pretty famous politicians and because of this, they weren't home a lot and instead they hired a nanny to take care of her and her sister. The absence didn't have a huge impact on her but there were a lot of things children around her had done with their family that she hadn't. It wasn't hard for her to make friends when she started school and she was pretty much liked by majority of people because she was peaceful and didn't like to bother others. Her siblings were the same and so they all got along on well with only a few arguments here and that.
(Bloom Later) School breezed past pretty quickly and without much difficulty, she was doing her work to good standard and wasn't causing bother, only getting into one fight that she didn't even start. However, high school was a little more rocky and suddenly people weren't in the whole 'peace' thing and she had to be a bit rough to make sure she didn't get herself or her friends hurt. She met Brooke in high school and they were close friends for a few years before the time for college came around and they didn't share the same interest in the same colleges. Eventually they drifted apart after she enrolled to University of Southern California meanwhile she enrolled to UCLA.
(X & Y) Yura was majoring in dance and if you ask her, she'll tell you college was the best years of her life. She made so many new friends, discovered so many new talents and she even met her boyfriend there. Higher dance teachers gave Yura so many options to get her dancing out into the world and a year after she started college, she started a youtube channel where she would post her dancing videos and recordings of the performances she did within her school. Her channel started out small but it eventually grew bigger as time went by. Soon she had graduated with high opinions of her.
(If You) Her channel was rising to fame pretty quickly and while she had a job at a local cafe, she was in love with what she was doing in her videos and decided to expand what she covered. She began vlogging her life and that's where her fame really shot off. Arelatively famous boy (Jimin) reached out to her, inviting her to join the "Bra" Hood. She accepted their invitation and was shocked to find out that two of her seniors from UCLA, Hoseok and Yoongi, were in the group. Same as her old high school friend, Brooke. And if it couldn't get any better, her big brother's close friend, who came over to their house a lot, Namjoon was also within the group.

Daily life: Yura's schedule is neat and usually sticks to plan. She wakes up at around 6am to go for a morning run, this lasts around an hour. Then whoever is up for it, she goes with them to get coffee or if nobody is available she gets one by herself. She usually calls her parents afterwards, just to give them an update of the day before. If she's doing anything interesting then she brings her vlog camera with her or if she's going to her dance studio, she'll bring the camera and either video her progress or make a new dance cover. Sometimes Jimin, Jungkook or Hoseok join her. Towards the end of the day, she will either go out for dinner or make her own and after that, edit the videos she has made.

Brooke Bae / 21 / Best Friends / After reuniting, the spark between Brooke and Yura was still there and they became better friends than ever. They bring out the best in each other. Yura comes over to Brooke's house all the time for sleepovers (Brooke's still trying to convince her to live with her) and they watch movies and stuff their faces with all sorts of foods. In all seriousness, they complete each other.
Min Yoongi / 24 / Best Friends / In college, Yoongi and Yura had not talked a lot, the first time they did was because she was assigned to make a dance piece to one of his compositions. She admired his work and let him know everytime they met up to judge how the choreography was going. When she joined the Bra Hood, he was one of the first people she went to to settle in. They became close naturally because of their appreciation for the other's talents and now Yoongi is like an older brother to her.
Jung Hoseok / 23 / Close Friends / Hoseok was the other person called in to help Yura with choregraphing the dance in college. He was more open than Yoongi was so they became friendly much quicker and it was more a delight when she was revealed to have joined Bra Hood. All bitterness Yura has goes away whenever she see's him, because he's just so nice to be around and he makes her feel at ease.
Park Jimin / 22 / Close Friends / Excluding the people Yura already knew, Jimin was the first to approach her. And because of his easy personality, they got along well and became friends rather quickly. Jimin finds it easy to confide in Yura with his problems as she does him and they behave much like twins. They also insult each other a lot as a joke, but not as much as she does with Jungkook.

Kang Minho / Older Brother / 25 / Minho has always been protective over Yura, even about the most simplemof things. She even had to keep her relationship with Minho secret for the first few months in case he did anything irrational. But he's a good person, Yura knows and they still talk everyday even if he's overseas doing something for his work.
Kang Sihyun / Younger Sister / 19 / Sihyun and Yura are closer than any of them are to Minho, simply because of the fact they are both girls and a girl needs more girls to survive. They are more like best friends than they are sisters but it's nice having another bond that brings them together. When they were younger, they did everything together even if Sihyun was younger than her. Yura supports her present time and they have sister days.

Story: Taehyung and Yura first met when Jimin, upon Yura accepting his invitation, brought her to meet Bra Hood. While most of them were happy to greet her, some reuniting others meeting for the first time, Taehyung shyed away from her. Which surprised everyone else, considering the boy was known for his loud and outspoken personality. He reveals to Jimin it is because he was a big fan of her dancing. He shyed away from her for a few weeks after that before finally noticing the awkward tension between them because of it and introduced himself. It was still a bit awkward but over time it went away.

Interactions: Taehyung has a sub-concious crush on Yura and because of that he flirts with her all the time while she shuts it down as playful best friends. But Yura and Taehyung really love each other as friends, they support each other with everything they do. Taehyung comes to her stages and shows all the time, Yura really appreciates it. They also really love skinship, hugging literally everywhere usually started by Taehyung who just really likes cuddling her. A lot of their fans ship them and they're aware of this but obviously nothing can happen at the moment because of her boyfriend.
