Personality Sujung was raised to be a good person, therefore most of her bad traits consist of things that she cannot help and not things she intends to do. However her positive traits show a girl that her parents can be proud of and that's all Sujung has ever wanted. To start it off, everything Sujung does is in good nature and on the scale of being bad or good, she leans very obviously to the good side. All of her actions, although sometimes not ending the way she had intended are all made out of good spirit and she makes these decisions because she thinks the someone will benefit from it and whenever she causes harm by her actions, she tends to get sad. This makes her Benevolent, willing to make decisions for the good cause even if it may put her in a bad state. Like being Benevolent, Sujung is also a very Gentle soul and she has never purposely wanted to start drama because she herself hates it. When she finds herself surrounded by drama, she either tries to fix it and help people or she just runs away from it all, it stresses her out. So from that, Sujung never really says bad things that can cause drama because she has a kind and good-natured soul. But Sujung is also very Passionate about what she believes and what she does, she is not easily moved by others opinions but while accepting everyone elses opinions, her view is solid and will not change for the purpose of others. Some may say that Suung cannot be gentle and passionate at the same time however Sujung is not passionate to the degree that it turns her into a violent person, she doesn't force her opinions down anybody's throats nor does she get angry or annoyed when people do not share her beliefs. She doesn't like drama of course and she knows most of the time beliefs and opinions are what cause drama, however she tends to not get inolved with sharing her opinions and when she does, she makes sure to mention, she doesn't care what anybody else believes. That's their own business, and not hers. But while being the kind girl she is, Sujung also happens to be the queen of one-liners, she cannot find herself being funny for a long amount of time but she and people around her agree that she is one of the best at funny one-liners. This makes her Witty, and she uses the information about the situation to come up with something funny. Sometimes, she just blurts out a witty remark without meaning to but most of the time, she stays quiet while thinking of a way to make people laugh. However, with the rest of her traits, if she has a remark that would be funny to some but may offend others, she will hold her tongue. Knowing if she were to say it, it would cause drama and she wouldn't like to be the cause of it. All in all, Sujung is kind, tender, strong-viewed and funny girl.

 

Like any person, Sujung also has her fair share of negative traits and while they may not be bad to the point that she's a bad or mean person, she still wishes that she weren't some of the things she is. The first trait is not one that bothers Sujung a lot of the time because she see's a lot of people who share the same trait. But when you trip over something that isn't even there, it can become annoying. Sujung is very Clumsy, sometimes her friends doubt her ability to even stand on two feet without falling. She trips over anything, everything and nothing at all. Balance is clearly not her forte and with the amount she falls over, it makes sense for her body to be covered in as many bruises as it is. Sujung being clumsy means that she's not a very strong dancer as she cannot handle her balance, wobbling, tripping or just falling over in general. Next, Sujung happens to be very easily persuaded when it comes to actions, while she is passionate about her beliefs, she happens to be very Gullible. People find no difficulty into making her do bad things because she doesn't think the outcome is what it is. You could also percieve this as naive, even if she is 23 years old, she was sheltered from the world until 19 years old so she is still learning how to tell if someone is trying to trick her into things. This trait isn't as big as it used to be but it's still there as to people can manipulate her easily and she will not think anything of it. Another trait that has been partially caused by how sheltered she was in childhood, Sujung is extremely Paranoid, being hidden from the world and then suddenly being thrown to the world with only her parents and brother to defend her. Being in the world meant people didn't treat her as carefully as her parents had and from that, stemmed a lasting fear that people would hurt her and that bad things would happen. This leads her to being slightly iffy on trusting people, for the fear within her that tells her that the only people who will treat her kindly and carefully are her family. Lastly, Sujung finds herself being very Slow to understand things, she's a smart girl however it takes her a few moments, minutes or days to understand something fully. It mostly ties in with knowledge or lessons but sometimes if somebody makes a joke, she's not exactly the quickest at realising what the intentions of the joke were. So, most of Sujung's negative traits are more things she cannot help rather than things she choses to be, but that doesn't mean she doesn't hate falling over everything and slipping, it actually makes her upset when practicing. Doesn't mean she likes being easily persuaded or scared of things that may never happen or the last to understand the joke.

 

Background As mentioned many times, Sujung was raised hidden by the world, unlike her brother Dongchan, who was allowed to go outside whenever he wanted to. Sujung didn't have that same privilege. As soon as she was born, the furthest her mother would take was out into the garden. She was homeschooled for all of her life, not knowing anything more than waking up, eating breakfast, getting ready, being tutored, doing homework, going to bed. That was her daily routine and it never really changed, and her brother knew it was depressing her. So he began to sneak her out to see the world every Sunday, and Sujung became so thankful to him. Even if it was only for an hour every Sunday, up until their mother found out and was even stricter on what Sujung was and wasn't allowed to do. She was 11 years old when she first stood up to her mother, she yelled at her and complained, asking why on earth Dongchan was allowed to go free but she had to be locked up like some animal. Her mother told her it was because natural beauty like hers was going to make the girls jealous and the boys hungry. Dongchan was apalled at their mothers answer and he yelled at her too. After that fight, they went to their father to complain about how she was treating Sujung and eventually, at the age of 12, their father divorced their mother.

 

Given the opportunity to stay with their mother or their father, the twins both chose their father right away and soon they were happily living together. But life just didn't want to work their way and after a few months of freedom, their father sadly passed away. Thus meaning they were sent back to their mother who had a new husband already. Their life was one you'd see in cringey movies and you'd think "Does that even happen to anyone?" And for Dongchan and Sujung, it did happen and the rules enforced on them both didn't leave space to breathe without being scared. They both began homeschool and they weren't allowed to leave the house unless it was to the back garden. They were not allowed phones or laptops, when they needed a computer, they would use their fathers. It was if they were animals, trapped in a zoo with minimal privilege to be free. This continued on for many years and when the twins were 16, they had so much hate bottled up inside them that they agreed a way to let it out could be writing poems or songs. So Dongchan wrote a song, he had enough knowledge about music to write one and after presenting his work to Sujung, she proposed that they perform it, write out the anger then sing the anger. So she asked her tutor, if she could be taught how to sing and even if her mother would deny, her tutor took pity and began giving her secret music lessons while also teaching Dongchan a little more about composition. He continued writing songs and even began to rap a little. This was becoming the only thing they could look forward to. After hard lessons of work on it, Dongchan took his very first song and added a rapping part, made some changes and sat their tutor down to perform it. Sujung and Dongchan executed the parts correctly and their tutor was incredibly happy.

 

The twins learned there that this was their passion and though it had taken them many years for the opportunity to find that passion, they finally had it and they were not going to let go. So they put in their effort. Dongchan continued composing songs and rapping, Sujung continued to work on her singing. The lessons went on and they discussed what options were available for when they wanted to leave to achieve this dream of theirs. But they didn't know what exacty that dream was, they both knew they wanted to do music but there were so many options, it was almost impossible to choose. Eventually, they narrowed it down to producer, artist and idol. Sujung was worried because being an idol meant you had to be able to dance but their tutor reminded them that if your main talent is good enough, they will just train you there. And so they finally made up their minds at the age of 19 and with their tutor, they ran away. Their tutor was happy to let them stay with her while they get their life stabilised. To their luck, a few weeks after moving in, they heard of auditions at a company named Star Empire and the twins researched them and looked at some of the groups music. So with their tutor's approval, they reached out for this. They both auditioned and luckily made it through even if Dongchan's dancing skill was minimal and Sujung didn't have any. They began training when they were 20 and worked on their skill for years after that. Sujung wasn't the strongest of dancers, she slipped a lot but her vocals were outstanding, Dongchan was a strong rapper, amazing composer and a good dancer but wasn't the best at vocal or leading. They both trained and trained for 3 years before being proposed the idea of Produce 101 Season 3. Dongchan however, didn't take it but pushed Sujung to do so. He is cheering her on along with the others trainees and groups in Star Empire.

— Mother / Kwon Jiyul / 42 / Strict, Posessive, Hard-Working / Teacher / When Jiyul first started to hide Sujung, she had no problem, Jiyul still loved her. But it was when she snuck out and suddenly she became a new person. Sujung hates her.

— Father / Kwon Wooseok / 46 / Caring, Dedicated, Blunt / Businessman / Wooseok wasn't around a lot of the time due to his work so he didn't spend much time with either twins nor realise that they were being treated horribly. When he divorced Jiyul, he became a more loving man and gave Sujung a lot of attention.

— Twin Brother / Kwon Dongchan / 23 / Fatherly, Funny, Intelligent / Trainee / It has always been Dongchan and Sujung against the world. Whenever their mother and father would neglect them, they'd be there for each other and show each other the love their parents should have.

— Tutor/Adoptive Mother / Yoo Hyuna / 35 / Sarcastic, Loving, Observant/ Tutor / Hyuna was under strict rules when tutoring Dongchan and Sujung therefore she couldn't exactly do what she wanted to do, that was getting the twins out of the horrid place that was there home. But what she could do until they were both fit enough to, was care for them and teach them.

— Older Sisters / Nine Muses / 30-24 / When Sujung first joined Star Empire, it was Nine Muses who first approached her and helped her settle in while for Dongchan it was ZE:A. The girls of Nine Muses treat Sujung like a younger sister and have always helped her with her training and offered their love and support.

— Older Brothers / ZE:A / 29-25 / Although Sujung isn't as close to them as she is to Nine Muses, they protect her as if she was also their younger sister. They like to use their slight age advantage against her even if she's only 3 years younger than the youngest member. She has a slight crush on Dongjun.

— Best Friends / Imfact / 24-19 / They are a lot closer to her in age and she can happily say they are like her best friends. When she joined Star Empire, they were still training and preparing for debut so naturally Dongchan, Sujung and the members trained with them and formed a bond. Ungjae has a crush on her, Sujung knows about it and teases him all the time.

Trainee years 2 Years

Trainee life As soon as Sojung joined Star Empire, Nine Muses' members Sojin, Keumjo and Hyemi appraoched her and offered for the girl to come and eat dinner with the group that night to get to know each other better. Sojung agreed even though usually she wouldn't but she figured they cant really harm her if they're idols. So she went to their dorm and had dinner with them and through that gained herslf some good friends who would look out for her as time passed. She's closer to Sojin and Keumjo than the others. With ZE:A, Dongchan introduced her to them and right off the bat, she thought Dongjun was cute and after forming a good bond with Siwan, he is the only one she feels she can spill her thoughts about Dongjun to. He finds it very cute. Imfact were friends they met a few weeks later after joining, they stumbled across each other and upon finding out they were all trainee's, they decided to practice together with Dongchan almost ending up in Imfact.

 

Sujung passed the auditions through her vocal skills, therefore she had to train more with her dancing skills. But her clumsiness just kept getting in the way and she would frequently get upset. When she did Dongchan, Ungjae or Sojin would be there to cheer her up and help her but she couldn't help but feel frustrated that she just couldn't stop tripping and slipping while dancing. She focused on her dancing for years with so much effort that her progress with flying in bright colours. She slipped a lot less and didn't mess up as much. So she began to focus more on her vocals and found that by the time she was offered to join Produce 101, that her dancing wasnt exactly as good as it used to be but while practicing for the first performance, she had her labelmates by her side helping her. Her trainee life wasn't too depressing and she enjoyed it.

What was your reason for joining produce 101? I mean..I was offered a place, I don't know when I'll get an opportunity like this again. And from the success of the other seasons...I either learn a valuable lesson and become stronger at my skills or I will be good enough in the eyes of the nation and from that, be selected to be in the group! [Laughs] I do wish my brother had joined me though..

What was your main focus when training? vocal? dance? rap? It was dance actually, it isn't exactly my strong point. I'm quite clumsy and it makes it hard for me dance when I'm tripping over every few seconds [Shoots a grin] so I focused on that. I wanted to become better at it and hopefully I did!

What class are you expecting to enter in the first episode? Oh? I guess I'd like to be in the A Class but I don't expect it so I'd like to say B or C but I wouldn't mind any rank, the only way to go is up!

What do you think your final rank will be? Really anywhere in the final ranks but if I were not to end up in the final ranks, I think 15th would be a nice place and I'd return happy!

Do you think you'll be able to make it to the final group? if so, why? Is it not possible for all trainees to end up in the final group? I think so but regarding if I think I'll make it, I'm on the edge. I want to say yes but I don't know. We'll just have to see, hm?

What do you think sets you apart from the other trainees on the show? My squirtle smile! It's a funny answer but hopefully there shouldn't be another trainee who has a squirtle smile like me!

What song do you plan to perform for your first evaluation in front of the judges? That, my friend, is a secret..I'm just kidding! Nine Muses have recently come back with 'Remember' and to put Star Empire and them out there, I've decided to do that song. The girls actually helped me with choreography and all of that!

Are there any final things you would like to say? I hope that all the trainees enjoy their time here and that we all become better versions of ourself! I hope that I can set a good image for Star Empire and return feeling proud!
