► stands in 160 cm and weighs 48 kg. had tanned skin during her years in from surfing and being under the sun but her skin got whiter during her trainee years. her body figure is a bit of a pear shape, a tiny waist, slightly bigger and slightly wider hips than her shoulders. through dancing her body got a bit lean and muscular but she still has visible baby fats. she has a dimple and a beauty mark on her right cheek and another beauty mark on her nose. her hair is a natural black color and has never been dyd before. she has a natural resting face that a lot would misinterpret her being cold and all but she's not. a lot has said she resembles a cat because of her eyes. she has multiple piercings on each ear and still counting, she kind of have a thing with piercing her ears ever since she started.she got a tattoo when she turned of legal age. a cross tattoo on the back of her ear and a french dance quote which means 'to dance is to live' on the nape of her neck. she has her motto "overcome and conquer" tattooed on her inner wrists, overcome on her left and concquer on her right (the position is here on both wrists) she also wears graded colored contacts coz she's blind. usually wears natural colored contacts that only enlargen the pupils by a tiny bit. wears light browns and grays a lot.

► her fashion style is the typical korean streetwear style which kinda looks a bit 90s grunge sometimes. she likes wearing clothes for comfort at the same time looks good on her and makes her feel confident. she doesn't care about brands really and really likes thrift shops too since they're vintage and all. she basically wears sneakers all the time coz sneakers are her bae. other than sneakers, she likes boots like timberland, dr. martens and the like. she usually wears jeans or shorts, but occasionally wears skirts as well. she likes to accessorize with a pair of statement earrings like hoops, chokers and a cap. she puts more effort in her airport fashion since she knows there will be people taking pictures. at home/dorm, she likes to wear oversized t-shirts or sweaters and shorts or leggings. plus comfy socks. for formal events, the stylists would mostly choose clothes that would make her look tall like panel dresses or clothes that would show her legs plus of course heels (which she despises) or tall platform shoes or boots, she prefers the platform shoes really. for practice, she likes to wear loose clothes like oversized shirts or sweaters with shorts, jeans or leggings. plus sneakers or running shoes. her everyday make up consists of mascara, on both her upper and lower lashes, bb cream, eyebrows should be on point, dark red lip tint (color) and a bit of blush. she also needs to have her nivea cherry lip balm. she likes to get her nails done with designs mostly in dark colors.

► ardene was born in sydney, australia to korean parents. she also has an older brother of 3 years. growing up, ardene loved the ocean. their father would take them to the beach and sometimes they would accompany him at his work when they go by boat to the sea. they would also go hiking, camping and fishing during the their summer breaks. ardene grew up pretty adventurous and boyish. still she never had taken a liking to insects though. she took up piano since she was four years old well just because she has an asian mom and asian mom's usually enroll their kids in stuff. she took a liking to it though but she can't seem to fully love it. she was more of a 'fun and active' kind of girl.
when she was 6, she confessed this to her brother. her brother then invited her to watch him in his dance classes (he took up hip hop classes the same year ardene started piano as well, since he already started with his taekwondo lessons before, which is like a common thing for sons to learn if you're korean lol). while watching him, she can't help but bob her head to the rhythm. seeing this, the dance instructor encouraged her to try it out. surprisingly she had a natural talent as said by the instructor and well she had a lot of fun and asked her parents to let her take dance class as well with much pleading towards her mom since her dad wants what his daughter wants. so since she was 6, she started hip hop classes. she gradually started branching out towards other dance genres such as popping, locking and even break dancing. though she considered hip hop as her forte. she still focused on her piano, because her mom wanted her to at least learn the piano to contrast with her hip hop. when she was 8, her parents got divorced, reason still unknown to the siblings and her dad won custody over the two siblings because he a high paying job, her mother was only a housewife. it affected her relationship with her dad, but he reasoned out that he'll explain once they get older. academic wise, she does really well in school being an all a student with an average gpa of 3.21. her family was also active members of the church as well as its choir. she's a pretty good singer and enjoyed singing as well, but still prefered dancing.
in 2010, her father was offered a teaching job in university of california, so they moved there. she had a hard time adjusting to the environment but she managed. she and her brother joined a dance studio, movement lifestyle and they were quick to gain a name in their studio for their skills. she also participated in a number of dance competitions with her brother and they won several awards. in 2013, shaun evaristo, movement lifestyle founder, suddenly called the siblings and told them to come to the studio. when they did, they saw him with an asian guy. shaun introduced the guy as jeon jungkook, a korean who went to la to learn dance. the two siblings greeted him and welcomed him in korean. ardene became close to him, being korean as well as being the same age. she toured him around la. she found out that he was a member of an upcoming kpop group and when he went back to seoul and debuted in bts, she monitored his activities. she became a fan of kpop ever since. her brother came across jyp's us tour auditions in 2014 and showed it to his sister. ardene was unsure of it but her brother assured her she has the talent to become famous and make a name for herself. they talked to their dad about it. ardene thought he wouldn't agree but then he said he is more than willing to drive her to the venue if she really wanted to audition. so she did and auditioned in the dance category. surprisingly she got through the 1st round and was told to get ready to fly to seoul for the final round.
she flew to seoul on her own, lived in a dorm provided by the company, did her audition and became a jyp trainee in 2014. she was actually supposed to be part of sixteen but was the only one to be cut off the line up for unknown reasons. mid 2017, she decided to leave jyp to pursue her studies and dancing. after settling in seoul, she enrolled at sopa majoring in dance. after her graduation, she got into korea university of arts and majored in choreography. her dad helped fund her needs and her schools. she also stayed in a small studio apartment. when she choreographs dance for her major subjects, she goes to han river park. then she found out about the big hit survival show from jungkook (who she contacted when she moved to korea and they kept in contact since). he told her to try out at the open auditions. she declined him at first. but after thinking things through and arranging her thoughts, she decided to do it. if she doesn't go through, then she'll quit her dream of becoming an idol artist.

ardene and jungkook are quite close friends. having met back in la and reuniting once again as sunbae and hoobae. they joke around that before it was ardene who was the sunbae and now it's jungkook. basically they get along pretty well. having similar likes and tastes and hobbies as well. they speak informally with each other. though they don't actually meet up in person, they talk through sms from time to time to catch up. ardene also invited jungkook to attend a class in 1million. that is why jungkook was seen wearing a 1m tshirt.
"yah jeon jungkook. how's life?" ardene said on her phone, which was on loud speaker as she was eating cerial. "dude talk when you've swallowed." "yeah yeah yeah, i asked a question" ardene replied while still munching on her cereal. "tired. so are you planning on auditioning?" "still not sure. i really want to just pursue dancing. i think idol life just doesn't suit me." when ardene started attending 1million, it was eunho's class. she got his attention when she's the first one to get his moves down and it memorize them. he acts extra goofy around ardene and likes to . she teases him back too. we can say that there is an attraction between them and it's pretty obvious but they don't plan on making it serious. when they partner up during dances, the chemistry will explode.
eunho asked ardene to accompany him to the gym. he was waiting outside the gym then ardene arrived in casual clothing. "did you bring a change of clothes?" eunho asked. "no, coz you didn't say i'd be working out as well" she smiled triumphantly. during eunho's work out, ardene went out and returned with food. she started eating them in front of eunho. she knew all too well that eunho was also a food fighter like her. "hmm dude this is seriously so good" then she took a bite. she kept teasing him until he couldn't take anymore. before she could take a bit again on her corndog, he took her hand and tried to take a bite. ardene didn't back down without a fight but lost because of strength differences. but she still considered herself the winner.

trainee years / 2014 - mid 2017 (jyp entertainment)
► she entered the jype, unsure if she'll ever be able to debut. the only weapon she has was her dance. her dancing skills intimidated a lot of the trainees. she quickly became famous among them as a powerful dancer that can surpass momo's skills. she had good stamina too and can do dance routines a number of times without getting tired, thanks to her long period of experience in dancing. she was physically and mentally fit. she also attended 1million classes and feature in their videos. for singing, well it was another story. yes, she has a pretty decent voice. a bit airy and drunk-like vibe but pretty good, but still below the level to be considered as a lead vocalist or anything. she particularly had a hard time singing while dancing at the same time. she found it difficult to sing in a stable voice. she does countings without struggle when dancing, but singing is a different thing. she also took korean lessons, though she's able to converse in korean, there are still a lot of terms she doesn't know. she was then added to the lineup for sixteen. when the start of the show was nearing, she was suddenly cut off the lineup and she was the only one. she was cut off for unknown reasons. she watched as her chance of debuting flew away. when twice debuted, she felt sour and betrayed. she thought that if jyp won't be honest with her now, what would they be like when she debuted. but she stayed strong and pursued training. after a lot of showcases, she would get praises but they still ignore her and focused on other grouped trainees. she felt tired and so she decided that maybe idol life didn't suit her so she terminated her contract and decided to pursue her studies and dancing.
she didn't do training like she used too because she focused on her dancing more. though she applies the vocal skills she learned from jype in singing for her church choir. she continued dance classes in 1million dance studio. it was kind of like a training in a way for her, but mostly for dancing. she got recommended to join big hit's survival show and so she auditioned during the open auditions.
stage persona / basically she's the oppa / hyung of the group. she's really dorky and weird and pretty much mischievous around their fans. she would do dorky winks and cringey gestures. but she's one of the members who love to do fanservice and love to interact with their fans. she sometimes ignores the managers just to talk to some fans or thank them. she also takes care of them which is why she earned the nickname oppa / hyung. fangirls considers her as a girl crush.

DESIRED CONCEPT / ardene personally would want a strong, girl crush kind of image, a powerful and fierce concept that can send a message that girls can also be strong and independent, but a group with versatility is nice too
