BACKGROUND born and raised in sydney, australia. she was always well taken cared of by her parents especially her dad. she's the typical daddy's little girl. he spoiled her a lot when she was younger and her mother adored her just as much. being the only child, especially the only daughter, her parents, her mom mostly, grew very protective of her. she didn't want her little princess to have a hard time so yeyeon grew up depending on her mom a lot to feed her, to do her laundry for her and even dry her hair for her. despite the protectiveness of her mother, she grew up pretty adventurous and just like her dad, an adrenaline junkie. she was also gifted in the arts, her talent for drawing and creating with her hands started since she was a toddler. she has videos of her drawing on the walls and on the carpet and such lol. not only was she gifted with the talent in arts, she was pretty good in her studies as well, except for math, she hates math. her dad, who was a managing partner of clifford chance sydney branch, was assigned to become senior partner of the seoul branch. so her family had to move to seoul, this was during her second year of middle school. she had a hard time adjusting to the unfamiliar culture but she was able to cope with it. she started having interest in taking pictures of food when she was trying out food from a cafe and she recieved a lot of likes from it. she started to diligently continue this until she gained a huge following and became a known foodstagrammer amongst the youth. after graduating from an arts high school, she was able to get into college majoring in graphic design. but before that, her parents has finally come to their senses that she needed to learn how to be independent so they rented a studio apartment near her university for her, complete with a kitchenette and laundry machines, as like a high school graduation gift for her. when she started living alone she had a hard time. the first time she tried cooking, she gave up after she burnt the onions. so since then, she hasn't touched her kitchen and would just eat out or order food delivery. she also found a nearby laundry shop, so she cheated her way to be called independent. the only thing she was capable of was grocery shopping for snacks and toiletries and also heating water for her cup ramyeon. until a close friend of her, who was always there for her, snapped because she kept on asking him favors to do stuff for her. this made her realize that she needs to learn being independent.
