SINGING SKILLS » 5, the main reason ardene was put as an official member of the group. she's been singing ever since she could remember. having taken vocal lessons since she was young, she had an advantage compared to other vocalist trainees. her voice is husky and powerful, what you expect from someone in a rock band. though because of being in a rock band before, she had difficulties singing with emotion but because of training, she can know grasp a song's emotion immediately

RAPPING SKILLS » 3, though not the best, she can maintain a rhythm and be on beat when it comes to rapping. it's thanks to her experience in having her band cover rap songs as well. basically she treats rapping as like singing but with more emphasis on the words and dictions. she prefers more of a melodic rap that a skillful one.
DANCING SKILLS » 2, having no experience in dancing all her life well except those awkward movements during homecoming or prom, she doesn't really excel in this skill. she has a hard time getting the steps down and would most likely be one of the members that has to extend practice hours to fully memorize a routine. she was also stiff before but at least now she can manage a split, but not without grunts and swears. she's improved but can never be considered in the dance line of the team. 
Variety SKILLS » 5, she suits variety so much people forget she's an idol, she herself also forgets she's an idol. she can throw her idol image without feeling guilty at all. her savageness is one of her charms and makes people laugh. she can also eat a lot in front of the camera without a care in the world. she's also know to have a million faces, meaning her reactions are just so expressive. her boyish side always shows on screen and whenever mcs or her members reminds her she's a girl, she comically acts feminine which always gives a laugh. whenever she's present, you can always guarantee a laugh
aegyo SKILLS » 1,  she cannot do aegyo to save her life. a weakness that she has no plan of improving at all. cute isn't just her. when asked to do aegyo, she will cringe just by thinking about it. she always does aegyo with a forced expression on. mcs and other celebrities see her as like a little brother figure or an oppa/hyung figure so whenever she acts cute, she gets a cold or silent reaction (video).  instead of aegyo, she likes skinship a lot. she has no problem kissing her member's cheeks or getting kissed on the cheek.

appearance » had tanned skin during her years in melbourne from surfing and being under the sun but her skin got whiter during her trainee years. sms soon got her whitening treatments when she became of legal age. her body figure is a bit of a pear shape, a tiny waist, slightly bigger and slightly wider hips than her shoulders. through training her body got a bit lean and muscular but she still has visible baby fats. her hair is a natural dark brown color. she has a natural resting face that a lot would misinterpret her being cold and all but she's not. a lot has said she resembles a cat because of her eyes. she has multiple piercings on each ear and still counting, she kind of have a thing with piercing her ears ever since she started.she got a tattoo when she turned of legal age. a cross tattoo on the back of her ear and a musical galaxy on her right wrist which means that music is her universe. she has her motto "overcome and conquer" tattooed on her inner wrists, overcome on her left and concquer on her right (the position is here on both wrists) she also wears graded colored contacts coz she's blind. usually wears natural colored contacts that only enlargen the pupils by a tiny bit. wears light browns and grays a lot. occasionally wears blue.

style » her fashion style is the typical korean streetwear style which kinda looks a bit 90s grunge sometimes. she likes wearing clothes for comfort at the same time looks good on her and makes her feel confident. she doesn't care about brands really and really likes thrift shops too since they're vintage and all. she basically wears sneakers all the time coz sneakers are her bae. other than sneakers, she likes boots like timberland, dr. martens and the like. she usually wears jeans or shorts, but occasionally wears skirts as well. she likes to accessorize with a pair of statement earrings like hoops, chokers and a cap. she puts more effort in her airport fashion since she knows there will be people taking pictures. at home/dorm, she likes to wear oversized t-shirts or sweaters and shorts or leggings. plus comfy socks. for formal events, the stylists would mostly choose clothes that would make her look tall like panel dresses or clothes that would show her legs plus of course heels (which she despises) or tall platform shoes or boots, she prefers the platform shoes really. for practice, she likes to wear loose clothes like oversized shirts or sweaters with shorts, jeans or leggings. plus sneakers or running shoes. her everyday make up consists of mascara, on both her upper and lower lashes, bb cream, eyebrows should be on point, dark red lip tint (color) and a bit of blush. she also needs to have her nivea cherry lip balm. she likes to get her nails done with designs mostly in dark colors.

WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS?

BACKGROUND » ardene's parents were high school sweethearts and continued their relationship through college. they both were students in university of melbourne. her dad was a marine biology major while her mom was a psychology major. her parents had them on their last year of college. her mother was devastated when she found out especially since she was preparing to take her master's degree examination. she talked with her dad when abortion came across her head but her dad talked her out of it. her mother took time off from college reasoning out that her parents needed her back in korea. after about 9 months, her dad found the twins outside his apartment with a note left by her mom. in the note it said that she isn't ready to take responisbility for the twins, she wanted to focus on her future first, especially with parents like hers they would never accept. it also said that she transferred to a different college and didn't state where and that he should name the two. fortunately her dad's parents were more open minded and agreed to help him financially. growing up, ardene and aiden loved the ocean. their father would take them to the beach and sometimes they would accompany him at his work when they go by boat to the sea. they would also go hiking, camping and fishing during the twins' summer breaks. ardene grew up pretty adventurous and boyish. ardene started gaining interest on the piano after her elementary school advertised their private piano lessons. she and aiden enrolled for the lessons. they were also active in church and is part of the church choir. she got her passion for singing here. in school she would usually stay in the music room and got closer to the music teacher. it was the music teacher who told her to get proper vocal lessons. so she talked to her dad and he agreed since he loved how ardene was so eager to learn more when it comes to music.

 

for secondary level, she enrolled at canterbury girls' secondary college, where she met her current band members. ardene grew more greedy to learn music that she started doing compositions as well as learning the guitar. her band was known in their school and they would also perform outside of their school as well. she was the lead vocalist, keyboardist and songwriter of their band. it was also in year 7 that she met rosé, they grew pretty close especially finding out that their houses were a street apart. they both shared passions for music and singing. although rosé didn't join the band, they still jammed together. rosé then was part of the cheer squad, something ardene can never do. she actually admired rosé for having so many talents. she wished her good luck when rosé told her she got accepted at yg. rosé also hoped ardene would be discovered one day for her talent. her family got an invite to her uncle's wedding and her uncle requested her to sing at their wedding. they flew to korea and ardene performed a song then got scouted by a jyp scout. she talked to her family about it, her band mates and she even contacted rosé. they all told her the same thing, and that is to follow her dream. and so her life as a jyp trainee started.

ardene is arrogant. growing up and getting used to being labelled as perfect by people got in her head. she has that overbearing pride and thinks she knows things more than she actually does. she loves displaying her elevated opinion and will act high and mighty. she just loves to be the center of attention and hates it when someone steals her spotlight. she diminishes others to make herself feel more superior. she kinda has a superiority complex. she is also aggressive.

Relationship: she's a daddy little girl despite being all boyish and all. she looks up to her dad a lot especially since he raised the twins alone. she would call him to check up on him and if they're eating well and all that. her dad would sends goods from la to her and will never forget to send gifts to her on her birthdays, christmas and even valentines.

ardene was sprawled over her bed with phone in hand. she felt her phone vibrate and looked at the screen. a beaming expression took over her once blank face. she tapped the answer button. "hey dad!" she waved at the camera. her dad smiled. "hey kitten. how are you?" "doing good, tired but you know me. i can handle myself." she smiled softly at her dad. they continued catching up, a usual thing they do twice a week is to video call each other. "oh and dad." "yes kitten?" "happy birthday!" she positioned her phone on the table and took out her guitar. she started to play a short composition for her dad as a gift. when she was done, her dad clapped and said his thanks. Relationship: her twin younger brother is her most trusted best friend and they practically don't hide any secrets with each other. despite being younger, aiden takes care of his sister really well. he's protective of her and always has her back. they also have a bit of sibling rivarly but it's all good fun. she calls him whenever she needs advise from time to time and to check up on him too.

Personality : playful, outgoing, easy to get along with

Relationship: sunwoo looks up to his cousin and got inspired to also take the entertainment path and become an idol. their dads introduced them and sunwoo was shy before but ardene made him comfortable around her. after sunwoo got into cre.ker entertainment, he would usually talk with ardene and ask for advise when it came to training. ardene would also go out and treat sunwoo during his birthdays as well.

 

"noona!" ardene looked up from her notebook and saw sunwoo waving and walking towards her. he sat down across from her. "annyeon sunwoo-ah." she smiled while closing her notebook. "go order whatever you like, my treat." after he ordered they started to catch up with each other, asking how their training is going and all that. then sunwoo broke the news that he will be joining a survival show called high school rapper. ardene of course was nervous for him since he just started with training and all but promised him she will watch him.

how'd you get in? » she got scouted by a jyp scout during her uncle's wedding where she performed a song with her guitar. he was a friend of the bride. she was approached by the guy and told her that he would like for her to join jyp.

TRAINEE LIFE » she joined jyp mostly because rosé was also a trainee but only at yg. she actually had no idea what kpop is except for maybe big bang, psy and 2ne1. but since she seriously wanted to pursue music, she agreed to be a trainee. in terms of her vocal skills, she was a few levels higher than a lot of trainees thanks to having vocal lessons since she was young. her instrumental skills with the piano and guitar were also high-caliber. her rapping skills were okay, not to great but better than average. she struggled with dancing by a lot. she had no dancing experience in like forever and she had a hard time following the instructor which scolds her for not getting it down. she would stay up until late to get a routine down, and sometimes other trainees would help her. her composing skills are also above average having experience already. language wasn't really a problem but there are times that she won't get someone because of really deep words. she's pretty weak when it comes to proverbs or sayings and would go bonkers thinking about what they mean. she always thought that maybe jyp would debut her as a solo artist or in a band like day6 but got surprised when she was put in the lineup for the coed group. the main reason she got in is because of her vocals that is in a different level than most trainees.

- above axis reunion :  above axis members : she wanted to have one last stage with the members before they officially disband due to starting the next chapter of their lives. she discussed the matter with the higher ups and after long planning, discussions and rejections, she was able to organize one last concert with her band.

- ahn hyoseop and universal rulers's ardene dating? : after law of the jungle, the two got closer as friends and they decided to catch up after some time. not expecting that they will be caught by the media. both of their agencies denied the dating rumors stating that they're close friends.

- universal rulers' ardene is a bully to fellow member _____ : ardene is a prankster and well is savage af. all the members know that and they are used to it. ardene just got unlucky that she got caught roasting _____ and well evil editing so yeah. jyp released a statement that ardene has a close relationship with the members having trained together for two years.

personality » hongwon is a tough guy and hates letting others see a weak side of him. he would rather lock himself in his studio apartment and suffer alone than let others worry and pity him. despite being a rapper, he has a hard time expressing his feelings into words and if not rapping about them, he would show them through his actions. he can come off as someone who doesn't give a damn about anything other than rap, his family, crew and himself but he's a softie. he genuinely cares alot for his friends, family and people in general. he admits that he had a pretty bad past but he's changed and is trying to be a better man. he's cautious of his actions because of people's perception towards him. despite his appearance, he can be pretty weird too and likes pranking his friends. hongwon has really bad temper and it shows. when he's pissed he'll be really verbal and would cuss a lot. when he can't control his anger, he goes physical and might trash stuff around him. what's worse is when he stays quiet, you'll know you pissed him off real good. he'll ignore the person for who knows how long.

 

HOWD YOU MEET? » they met backstage during the high school rapper shooting. ardene visited sunwoo to cheer him on. ardene was looking through the food on the food table (dk what they're called lol) while munching on some fruits and saw the last trevi drink and went to grab for it but was beaten by hongwon. they stared at each other for a good 2 seconds before ardene smiled then gestured that drink with her eyes kind of saying that it's hers. hongwon got the idea and handed it to her without a word. "komawo hongwon-ssi" ardene half laughed, she grabbed for a bottled water and handed it to him. that's the start of their friendship.

 

RELATIONSHIP » they didn't meet again until the high school rapper participants had a gathering to catch up. sunwoo invited ardene since she became friends with some of them like hongwon. it was then they exchanged contact info and started following each other's instagram. they're relationship was more on digital, sms or ig private messages, then turned into calls, video calls and all that. their friendship turned into a flirtationship and both knew it. before universal rulers' debut, they would go out together, just the two of them. when the group debuted, they minimalized the time they went out in public, instead went back to the sms flirtationship. when jyp gave ardene the opportunity to have a solo album, she immediately wanted hongwon to feature in it (of course with the consent from her cousin who was also a rapper lol) they met a few times to work on the lyrics and to practice together. on the day of the recording, hongwon stuck like glue to ardene since it was his first time in the jyp recording studio. they would share glances and whispers from time to time. they would also compliment the other after their recording. there was also an mv shoot and well the flirtings were unstoppable though there was a different male elad, which made hongwon jealous and made ardene amused and .
