description : jaehwa is fairly sure she was born being a condamner of peace, because her parents told her that she came out bawling even without the help of a clap on the back. she was rather proud of that, if she had any say in it, which she did. the girl is pretty and she grew up being very much sociable, since she had a wide range of interests and her parents were upper-middle class people so she was always on adventures, doing crazy things that she could share with people. so yes, she is confident. her friends loved her stories and she would think she was popular. however, this surge of popularity slowly faded away as she grew older, as she realized that not everyone appreciated her pursue of honesty. she tended to be the kind who much rather confronting her problems than to about them behind her back. it sounded great and all, but in the midst of pubescent drama, she began to lose friends because she absolutely detested the gossiping and always made her friends confront each other, hence becoming the subject of discrimination herself.

throughout the day, she would working, whether that was to spent house getting her eyes to the perfect shape for the new mascara, or her nails done for an expensive new watch, or posing on streets with sponsored clothes, the job was fun but tedious, contorting her face to the right expression hours on end. so, sometimes, when she went home, she just wanted to curl up in a bed and cuddle up to dalgom. her hubby would usually swoop in by then with a nice bowl of delivery soup to calm her, in which she would reward him by switching up her cuddle buddy to jongsuk. she didn't step into her brother's work place often, or invade his work place because that was sacred, however sometimes it was necessary. like when his brother needed to bring someone to the christmas party at the firm, but his girlfriend just broke up with him. she was the substitute date and that was when they first got acquainted. jaehwa's first impression of her was that she was nice, smart, then she realized jiwon was all of that and more, more as in... she was loud, funny, enthusiastic and did she mention talkative? it was nice though, she enjoyed that sort of interaction, the one where they bounced ideas off each other. it was even stranger when she moved, jiwon happened to be one of the residence there (on her floor level too). strange, but hey, at least she had an ally here.

FIRST MEETING : jaehwa and jongsuk's meeting was anything but uneventful. it began when jaehwa was four drinks into her eighteenth's birthday, which was spent with a dozen of friends in a nice penthouse they had rented from airbnb. it was just loud music, plenty of booze and a ton of food. however, halfway through the night, things went south for the worse, when a few girls decided that their music wasn't loud enough and put it on full blast. it was safe to say, the neighbors were not happy and jongsuk, a patrol cop back then, wandered up to their apartment, fully ready to give them a lecture did not expect a group of girls throwing their heels at him when he opened the door. so just like that, jaehwa was arrested for the first time in her life and escorted to the station. the rest were fuzzy. but she woke up to her mom glaring at her, which ensured at least an hour worth of lecture. nothing from that night stuck with her, except for the face of a handsome cop who she was abused with a pair of heels.

jaehwa never dreamed for his second boyfriend to be a cop five years her senior. he was everything jaehwa both loved and hated. he was stuck up, righteous, but he was also romantic and sweet. and sometimes he was just a little bit of a , but he made up for that by being a complacent follower to her whims. she wouldn't say they were compatible but at the time, she didn't see what the big fuss was, so she accepted his mediocre confession, which involved spoiled soup, a hospital stay and a heartfelt apology, then was then accompanied by his love confession.

their fiftith date was a little less competitive, a little more romantic. donning a red maxi dress with short lacey sleeves, she stepped into smpa's annual gala. it was hosted in the hilton hotel in seoul and jongsuk was invited due to his acts of bravery in the field. jaehwa couldn't understand why she had to be here socializing with people she didn't know, or wanted to talk to, but she was the official girlfriend of lee jongsuk and it was mandatory that her presence was at the venue. she never failed to make jongsuk known what her real feelings was towards these kind of social events, where everyone dressed like dolls and every interaction was forced and sugarcoated. of course, what was worse was jongsuk didn't even give half a crap about her. the woman strutted up to her boyfriend, who was busy whispering to his friend from work and mercilessly shoved the tip of her shoes into the back of the man's knees.

she had a long and dreadful week and the last thing she wanted was to spend her hours dolling herself up, then tossed into a gala where everyone seemed to know someone except for her. not to mention, jaehwa was uncomfortable. she knew she was young, perhaps even too young for jongsuk but she never let the other know, because she wasn't supposed to be the one who was embarrassed, she was the young, hot side piece... but it was as if the whole room was eyeing her down, trying to decipher why the two were dating, if she had some ulterior motives, or that she was merely playing around. it was uncomfortable. what was more frustrating was, the dress she wore, it was too bright, too flashy for this otherwise dull event and she slowly made her way to the door, deciding that it was probably better if she invited herself out..
except then, from the speakers came her name and she snapped her head around, eyes widening at the sight of her boyfriend on stage with the mic.
"shin jaehwa, if you leave now, you are going to regret this for the rest of your life. or maybe you should now, because this is my last official warning to you as your boyfriend... i actually had a whole thing prepared, but that was sort of cut short when i forgot to add in the elements of your impatient attitude and the fact you kick really hard and i really don't want to be beaten up later. so here it goes."
he headed off the stage, slowly walking towards her and the of course, all of the crowd turned to look at him, then at her. this was so embarrassing, why was jongsuk walking towards her? jaehwa froze in her spot as she gripped onto her dress, cheeks flushed red.
"so i know you hate flashy, but too bad. relationships are about compromises and i managed to convince the guy who organized this gala to let me squeeze this in. because i want you to know... i love you, princess. i do, from the bottom of my heart and i know you feel uncomfortable sometimes, when i bring you to work related events because you are not the kind of girlfriend everyone expected me to have, but you do you. okay? you are pretty, you are cute, you can be violent and impulsive, but you have a big heart. i fell in love with your good and your bad, hell, our relationship started with you getting arrested because you had a little too much to drink and assaulted me with a pair of heels."
jaehwa's eyes widened at the mention of that and decided to finally turn around, making her way towards jongsuk just as the other was to her, except way faster, even in heels.

that gained a laugh from the audience, but not from jaehwa who was red from all of that, as she stared at jongsuk, who usually towered over her and flicked his forehead. but the fact she didn't storm off was a good indication that she was happy, more so than words could ever do. the woman extended a hand and arched an eyebrow.

WEDDING BELL : if anyone asked the couple how their wedding was, they would both reply that it was spectacular. it wasn't the fanciest one, but it was perfect. they decided to get married at a newly refurnished wedding hall, which was a lot cheaper than most would expect. especially considering how pristine it was. it was an unanimous decision for a western styled wedding, though, they did incoporate aspected of a traditional korean wedding in it, including hanboks to change into during the reception. jaehwa opted for a shorter dress due to her height, since the longer ones needed more tailoring and she preferred to have it as off the rack as possible, JUST BECAUSE THEIR HONEYMOON WAS GOING TO BE IN MALDIVES, THEY SAVED UP PLENTY FOR THAT TRIP. THE SHOES WERE THIS GORGEOUS PAIR OF STILETTOS, SIMILAR STYLE TO THE ONE THAT JONGSUK HAD SHOVED IN HIS FACE WHEN THEY FIRST MET.
