being originally from busan, she moved to seoul after graduating high school for a wider range of universities. her parents, however, stayed in busan as they both had stable teaching jobs there. she decided to major in music composition. her aunt and uncle made sure rin would visit and possibly even look after jungkook as much as possible, which she tried to whenever the boy wasn't training for at high school. fresh out of high school, rin began looking for all kinds of part time jobs, from food delivery to waiteress to even tour guides at popular tourist attractions with her english and japanese skills. she started talking to people in her course, wondering if there were better choices in choosing part time jobs and that's when a conversation sparked whilst discussing what they were doing over the weekend. "Yeah, i'm going to this underground event, all these rappers and 'didn't-make-it' idols go there. rap battles, dance battles and just singing competitions. we should all go!" rin was going, no doubt about it and that's where she ended up that saturday evening; standing in a crowd of university students watching two rappers go at it. she was amazed, fascinated and motivated. she could do this-- all under a pseudonym of course.
she sneaked off from her group of friends to look around and round a small booth near the back and just called for her to walk over. putting up the hoodie on her jacket and lifting the face mask over her nose, she walked over to the booth. the person behind the counter was also hidden but slid her a piece of paper. "registration". rin blinked, could she do this? no one would know it was her though. before something else could change her mind, her hand twirled the pen whilst she filled out the details. name: yoo-, wait, she can't possibly use her real name if she didn't want anyone finding out, right? name: yoo yr. she continued filling out the form before sneaking back to her group of friends who seemed to be looking around for her. pulling down the mask and hoodie, she explained simply, "went to the bathroom". the next week was stressful. she needed something killer. something from dabomb.com, she can't flunk her first appearance, that's embarrassing. she stayed up dat after day coming up with beats and lyrics and finally it was done. a piece which she was happy with, no doubt. she prepared an outfit, an oversized denim over her crop top and leggings paired with her face mask and snapback that hid her face. whilst her friends asked her to go again, she declined, saying "it wasn't my scene" so they would not grow suspicious of her.
