faceclaim : chungha, ioi

height & weight : 54kg & 167cm

appearance :  eunjin has a body to die for. the male population need it and the female population glares at it with distaste. she has curves all in the right places and knows how to flaunt it with her clothing and mannerisms. eunjin has some nice set of ladies up top and also a lovely round cushion on her behind (if ya know what i mean ;) ). basically, she has an s-line body. her hair runs down her back and is resting just at her hips. eunjin's hair is dead straight - just the way she likes it.

stylE : if you ask eunjin to dress colourful, it is quite impossible. most of her clothes that she owns aren't even colours; they're shades, black, white, grey. you will see eunjin in a skirt quite often as well. there isn't really a set style of clothes that eunjin will wear/buy but she will purchase or wear it if it flaunts her body figure. for dance practice, eunjin mostly wears a tight fitted top/crop and leggings/compression pants. otherwise, for uni classes, eunjin is more likely to wear her shorts and skirts. usually, eunjin will tie her hair up in a ponytail, but will occasionally let down her hair. eunjin also wears rimmed glasses which hides most of her face. if she has an event (for example, dinner parties (from the law firm), etc she will put on contacts but that is very rarely.
prologue : born into a family that has high expectations, eunjin grew up being told what to do and what not to do. she was never able to learn black from white, or good from bad as those were also told to her with no questions asked. this led to eunjin not learning who she truely is, only what she should be.
personality :
eunjin never grew a personality of her own. she was a machine, operated by her parents-- what she said and did, what she must do in the present and in the future. everything was laid out for her. this made eunjin seem blank and lacked personality, which she did. eunjin was very dependent on other's needs and would shape herself into what those want her to be. this caused her to be easily manipulated by everyone surrounding her as she never wanted to be seen as a disappointment or someone who was selfish. its mean and rude of her friends but they only see her as a pushover and a brainiac that they can use and bend at their will. eunjin doesn't seem to see the problem of her friends; in fact she thinks that that's what friends are for.
as mentioned, eunjin doesn't want to seen as the person who was selfish and unwilling to do things for other's as she has no self-confidence in standing up for herself. she cannot say no to others when they are asking for things and this tends to put a toll on herself. for example, sometimes her "friends" would ask her to complete assignments/essays for them so they could go out and party. eunjin will agree and do them, leaving her own to the very last minute. despite still getting a's, they are hardly ever 100%. if she had put aside her "friends" and put herself as priority, she would easily be able to obtain full marks.
you might think, since eunjin's helpful personality is used to its extent by her friends, they would be receiving a's as well. but eunjin does have a secret side to herself. she will make mistakes here and there in their assignments/essays so that they would be marked a grade or two lower than her. no matter how important the assignment was, eunjin does not want to disappoint her parents at any cost. other than these traits, eunjin is also quite passionate in everything she does.you may think for a girl who always has her head in her books would be a book worm but out of the school grounds, eunjin loves to dance. every second she isn't spent finishing off homework/assignments, she would at the dance studio; sometimes with a teacher, sometimes by herself. other than dance, eunjin tends to throw herself into everything she does. she's hardworking and usually won't stop until the task is complete and at perfection.
eunjin is a girl of not many words. she tends to usually only answer through nods, smiles and hand gestures. she isn't being rude but her low self confidence gets in the way most of the time. this being said, eunjin is a great listener and a good keeper of secrets-- since she hardly says anything. despite not many people knowing about her great listener side seeing that her "friends" only use her helpful personality. despite being quiet, though, she is extremely caring of those she thinks deserves it. she directly say and ask things but she will pass you a scarf if she sees you're cold or guide you to the answer if she sees that you're doing something wrong.
because of her low self confidence and esteem, eunjin has always felt as if she was weak. she's unable to stand up for herself in front of her parents and peers and hardly speaks her mind, hiding her true feelings and just going with whatever is told to her. but rather, eunjin needs to see is that she is actually very strong. to be able to hold in the anger and go with whatever her parents says takes a lot of strength. for being under their control for so long in her life takes a lot of patience and willingness but eunjin doesn't see it in herself-- she needs to be shown.
background :
[20 June, 1996] was born into the kim family
[1998] the moment eunjin learnt how to speak and understand speech, her parents taught her how act and articulate words. they wanted only the best for their daughter and the best only comes from controlled and learnt actions and words.
[11 october, 1999] family (including her brother, kim seokjin) moved to melbourne, australia.
[2 February, 2000] began pre-school
[9 february, 2000] went to first dance lesson; she took ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and modern
[february, 2001] began elementary school and also began learning the piano.

[june, 2001] first report card given and eunjin wasn't doing great. parents gave her an ear in that she can't be the family disappointment. her grades have to be brought up as they want her to move back to korea for university and study law
[december, 2001] return of the report card-- results were absolutely flying. parents made no comment. eunjin was questioning and a little disappointed. was her good grades not enough for her parents? how come she doesn't get complimented on them?
[2004] eunjin decided to just learn hip hop and modern.
[january, 2009] eunjin's beloved older brother whom looked after her and was really the only person eunjin felt comfortable with moved to the states to complete his university studies at harvard. even though eunjin was only 12, she knew her brother hated the idea of leaving his siter behind to study but he knew it was his way of escaping the grasp his parents had on him
[february, 2009] eunjin started high school. she went to one of the most prestigious and expensive schools with a full scholarship. she was seen as a freak from the rich kids.
[may, 2010] picked up street dancing and joined a dance team that regularly performed on the streets. her parents didn't (and still doesn't) know of this as eunjin would lie saying that she was going to study at the library.
[2009-2014] all eunjin's parents drilled into her head was grades, grades and grades. she learnt the only escape and constant in her life was dance. the music helped her relax and forget about what was going on in real life
[2014] smashing her exams, eunjin was accepted into konkuk university, her parents could not be more proud. but because of their stable jobs, they couldn't to leave melbourne and instead sent eunjin to live with her aunty instead. you'd think that eunjin would feel at ease living with her aunty; no more parents on her back about grades and being the disappointment. but you're wrong. her aunty is the same, if not, worse, than her parents. she had an eye on eunjin with everything she did and all eunjin could do was sit tight. of course eunjin is majoring in law, just as her parents had wanted her to.
[2015] her brother at this point didn't really talk to his parents much and had graduated and moved back to korea without their knowledge. he even had his own apartment. but because of their aunty's hawk eye, eunjin couldn't just move there. seokjin didn't want his parents to know where he was as they'd be back onto his back again. Instead, he told eunjin to look out for dorm rooms available near or at the university and move-- he'd pay for the rent and everything. eunjin's aunty lived nowhere near campus and she would have to travel early in the morning and sometimes late into the night to get home.

lifestyle :
another day, another hour spent on public transport. luckily, eunjin wasn't going too far today as she had to go to her internship. her grades earned her a spot at one of the best law firms in korea while other law firms still fight for her. dressed in a black a-line skirt dress and wearing her glasses, she puts in her earphones and watches the busy streets fly past her. it was quiet at the law firm that day so she was put to the task of filing files with the secretary of oneof the biggest lawyers. on other days, eunjin helps with finding information or clues in helping cases that have been brought to the lawyers. sometimes she even gets to sit in the interrogation room and see how it's done. the lawyers say its great to have eunjin around as she doesn't know much emotion and barely reacts to anything. she just quietly sits and listens.
on days that eunjin isn't at the internship, she's at school either doing some extra research for the internship in the library or bustling around campus trying to get to her classes. when she's doing neither of them, you will probably find her in the music building, listening to another student in her year; but more on that later. after university or her "job", eunjin is also a teacher at the dance academy near campus. she teaches children hip hop (beginners and intermediates) and basic ballet (usually pre-schoolers). she has fun as there as she's able to do something she's passionate about and feel as though she's not going to be a disappointmentto anyone. But also, that the students will look up to her.
being so busy, eunjin doesn't have many friends. more so, she just can't be bothered in keeping up with everyone's expectations of her. she has bigger plans in mind and with friends, the goal would be harder to reach. but there is one person that has caught eunjin's eye, but she doesn't know how to approach him. him. she doesn't know what it is, but she's so drawn to him, not only physically but on a mental, almost emotional level as well. his name? min yoongi.
on several occassions, eunjin's met this boy in her english language and literature class and he's even spoken to her. he didn't seemed like he cared for the subject and was only there for "extra credit", as he had told her. he's even invited her to visit him in the music building and just walk in after seeing her playlist on her phone. he majored in music composition and thought that his works may be what eunjin looked for in music. but everytime she would make her way to his "genius lab" (as he called it) she never had the courage to step in.
on several occassions, eunjin had somehow invited yoongi to her dance practices where they would just end up sitting against the mirror and talking. she told him how much she wanted to move out of her aunty's into someplace closer to campus and where there it didn't feel like constant survelliance was on her. yoongi
just listened like the many times eunjin had listened to him and his thoughts. little by little, eunjin seemed to open up to yoongi, telling him nearly everything that has happened in her life from her brother moving out and not contacting their parents, even to how her aunties hawk eyes haunt her in her sleep.

name : min yoongi
agemar 09 96 // 20
relationship:friend, crush
university : konkuk university
MAJOR : music composition
MINOR : english language and literature
Occupation:underground rapper, internship at an entertainment company

faceclaim : suga, bts

personality : at first glance, yoongi seems like the type to be very cold and unfriendly as he always looks so uninterested in things and wears a blank face all the time. but once you get to know him, he is very caring. he has a younger brother which he looks after as his single mother is out working to pay for bills and school fees (not his because he has a scholarship). he acts as the father of his single parent family and loves his little brother to bits. he will take him to school even if he has morning classes and would rather be late and makes sure that those around him have enough to eat and is wearing enough.
yoongi is also is quite independent and hates relying on others to get along in life. therefore he doesn't have many friends or associate himself with people that will cause trouble. yoongi wants to get through like smoothly with no accidents whatsoever. that's why people see him as uninterested in everything because he never pays attention to the things that are happening around him; he tends to like his own little world more.
once you get to know him better, you'll find out he's very laidback and is able to continue a conversation extremely well. it's probably because he is used to talking to himself at home about things as his mother's never home and his brother, well his brother is still young and won't understand anything. yoongi
is quite spontaneous and will do things without thinking of the consequences sometimes. therefore he is quite straightforward in his speech.

name : kim seokjin (jin)
age : 27
relationship:brother
Occupation:chief marketing officer at hwang enterprise (a finance company)

faceclaim : jin, bts

personality : seokjin, or more commonly known as jin, is the opposite of eunjin. he knows who he is and definitely stands up for what he believes in. sadly, he was unable to teach eunjin that way of living and is now trying to help her to get to know herself more. the one trait that the kim siblings share is caring for others. while eunjin cares mostly about those around her, seokjin looks after his sister and worries about her. he sends her small amounts of money even though eunjin always rejects it but he insists. he will sometimes drive her to and from school/work if he had the day off and he constantly texts and calls her about her current situation and if she's eaten or if she's brought enough clothes, etc.
jin is also extremely independent. he hates having to rely on his parents for financial stability and from a young age had got a part time job and has been saving up for cars and housing ever since. it is also one of the traits that has gotten him to this position in hwang enterprise at such a young age-- not needing to depend on others to get work done and is of high quality.
other than independent and caring, jin is also very encouraging towards his sister and those who deserve it. he knows that if he gives his sister the push she needs, she can spread her wings and finally fly away from the shackles her parents had placed on her.

► tends to stick out her tongue and furrow her eyebrows when she is concentrating hard on something (eg. homework/assignments, capturing the beats to songs, coming up with choreography, etc)
► eunjin's hands are quite fidgety, so in class when she gets bored, her hands must be doing something. usually it's tapping lightly on a flat surface (table, leg, laptop, etc) or she's twirling the pen is has in her hand
hello, eunjin. it makes me happy to see you here on this sunny saturday morning. would you like some tea?
—
shuffling her feet into the room, eunjin takes a look around. she has heard all about mr hwang despite that, he seemed like a nice, gentle man. she shakes her head at the question mr. hwang throws her way about tea. she's never been a tea person; more of a coffee or maybe even hot chocolates. eunjin was unsure how to act around mr. hwang. she practically knows nothing about him, how she should present herself to make her wanted in this house. "i'm fine, thank you." she manages to muster and say clearly to the elder man.
"i saw the advertisement that was posted at the entrance of the university one day. I've been looking for an apartment or dormitory nearby to stay in as the..." eunjin pauses for a moment, looking down at her clasped hands on her lap before looking back up at mr. hwang. she was juggling before the words home, house, maybe? "...p-place I'm currently staying at is far from the university and is quite a distance for me to travel to and fro." she takes a breath in before remembering that the house was built for someone her age, maybe he might understand her inner turmoil. "I-I was also hoping maybe I can find some friends that could help me." eunjin takes in a shaky breath, nibbling on her bottom lip for a moment before continuing again, "help me find who i am." her voice soft, eyes downcast for a moment, she never knew someone other than her brother would hear this from her. a typical day
(mr. hwang sips his tea quietly, eyes staring at the curtains of the living room, dancing in the spring breeze.)
looking up, eunjin sees mr. hwang looking at her. no wait, he was looking beyond her. blinking, a little confused as she recalled that no one else was in the place when she came in, eunjin turns around and sees the curtains flowing with the breeze. it reminded her of the routine she was currently working on in modern dance, the curtains had sparked something in her mind that connected the last piece to her routine. she turns back to mr. hwang expecting him to be looking at her but he was still staring past her head. softly, she calls out to the man. "mr.hwang? mr. hwang? mr hwang."
(after a minute or two, eunjin calls out to him, startling him.)
"a typical day in my life would be waking up early in the morning to prepare myself for either my classes or my internship." she shuffles in her seat for a moment before continuing. "i do my internship at a law firm for my major, anyway, other my classes or shift, I generally go to a dance academy near school campus and I teach children how to dance." she says. "most of my other spare times i spend at the school library finishing off homework or assignments or just doing extra research for my internship. I tend to avoid staying at the place i'm stay at for long periods of time because it's so..." eunjin tries to think og a work that would describe her feeling. "... suffocating." The word comes out as a whisper, barely audible but it was there, hanging in the air.
"actually, i quite like room 1a. i think because i tend to lose track of time, be it at the school library or just me at dance practice, I think my housemates would rather me not disturb their sleep if I come back later than intended. I don't want to displease them..." she says as she turns to glance at the said room.
SCENE REQUESTS : i was maybe thinking of doing several things but i don't know if it'll be good for your story >~< anyway here it goes:
1. the other tenants (or at least one of them) befriend eunjin and they become really good mates and helps her out of her shell that her family has put her in? the somewhat secretive and uptight stance she has.
2. after coming out of her shell (with the help of the other tenant(s) and yoongi) they decide to just throw a party? maybe for after exams or something and eunjin gets wasted and ends up confessing her feelings for yoongi (who was also at the party)-- maybe they end up talking about it in the morning when eunjin isn't drunk
3. eunjin performing her "secret talent" at a school music festival which some entertainment company recruiters were lurking and she ends up getting offers-- even from the one that yoongi is interning at. 4. she gets accepted as a trainee and has only ever told her brother and not even her parents about it because she's planning to break from her parents when she's finally stable as a trainee and even maybe preparing for debut.
