okay so, hi. 

Most of you probably don't know what I'm ranting about, but I'll say it anyways (and whoever understands just comment below, maybe) 

So I just watched the newest series of an amazing anime, D Gray Man Hallow, and it's released ten years after the first season

And URGH 

FIRST OF ALL 

Hoshino sensei can you please not change your drawing style because Allen looks like a ing protagonist of a shoujo manga and the COLOURS 

don't get me start on the colours, but everything is in HD now and it, his coat is pure white and NOT yellowish white like some halo of an angel. The Akuma were supposed to be in light and dimmer shades of gray, but thank you so much that you made it pure white and with tones of yellow. ALSO. Johnny's features differ from his first season's looks so much; he looks like an adult instead of the klutz and clumsy version of himself in season one. 

The only character I have nothing to rant about is Kanda. Seriously, his character design is as amazing as always, and after watching Cardfight Vanguard I got around Takuya Satou's voice pretty much, even though Sakurai Takahiro is a way better seiyuu than he is (fight me on this). 

Which brings us onto the next issue. 

I know this was supposed to be the 'reborn' version and whatnot, but HOW DARE YOU CHANGE THE ENTIRE CAST

I've only finished the first episode, and the only characters I'm alright with (their voices) are Kanda and guess what - Link and Lveille. Yep, the Hitler looking guy. Because guess what, Allen's seiyuu changed from a woman to a guy who sounded like Yuki Kaji (if only he is the one who does Allen's voice - ), and that guy is a goddamn amateur. Lenalee's voice sounded muted somewhat compared to her 2007~8 version which is more 'lively' if you know what I'm saying (it's fine if you don't I'm on a roll), while Natsuki Hanae is an amazing seiyuu, he just doesn't seem right doing Lavi's voice. Suzumura Kenichi is more playful, suiting Lavi's personality, and he can bring out the serious side but Hanae can't. URGH

Komui sounds horrible. Period. The original cast was amazing af why the hell would you change it like seriously. ALSO while Sugiyama Noriaki is a talented seiyuu, he can't compare to the guy who voiced him in the first season. Krory does not flipping have such a thin voice you get me?! Miranda sounds pretty much the same tbh but her seiyuu somehow can't bring out that 'scared' and timid side of her. And CROSS. Flipping . How dare you take away his seiyuu and replace him with someone whose voice is seemingly younger. He's not that young aight. And not that nice either. 

Though I had to admit, the plot was developing well, if not a little quicker. So far, Allen found out the truth about the 14th, Cross got killed, and they went back to the new Headquarters. Great. 

OH. And bookman. Pity that his old seiyuu died, though he sounded gruffier than the original one (did I spell that right)

What else

I love you, Hoshino sensei, but please. Think about your old fans as well ; ;
