the closest person to becoming the embodiment of escapism would definitely be him.he's always trying to gain what he wanted by escaping from the harsh reality with the use of lies and fantasies. the one deception he had held on strongest to, though, was love. he was desperate for it, always trying to be loved, to feel loved, to love, anything for it. it's an obsession he gained, you see, one that led to him lying to himself constantly that his parents do love him, to the attempt of ignorance about the suspicious actions of hyemi's and so on and so forth. he craved for it and needed it so much ( to the point that he felt it was the only thing worth to live for ). 

he's not going to be the him of today if it wasn't for those two. he's affectionate ( and rather flirtatious ) because he wanted people to love him. he would hold other's close in order to gain the warmth, and if it's responded badly too—there would be a smidgen of fear and despair in his eyes that easily was hidden yet again. he's amiable so he could make others lean on him. because friends were loved, right? his creativity showed in his artistic capabilities and ability to put so much life in a character. his open-minded character was so he wouldn't be picky, and he never would be picky, about people who he wanted to be with. he could care less about them, he just wanted to know whether they loved him or not ( and perhaps that's the only time he'd be so narrow-minded when he's not 'loved' ).

so circumspect for he did not want to feel the same feeling he had with hyemi, or for people to know how he truly was ( because he knew, oh he definitely knew, that no one would truly want the vile and unsightly him ). it led to him being quite distant, but in such a subtle way—of the kind that seemed like a friend and it's too late for you to realize that you really didn't know him all that well. that's how manipulative he was, to be able to lie so much yet make it seem natural and make it feel as if they were close. to control the situation and others to make it work out for him. he gave himself a decent image, and despite his thirst for love, he did not put himself in the spotlight. the limelight was where you get both hated and loved, but all he wanted was the latter and to rid of the former. oh, how selfish he was, really. the boy only wanted to make everything fine for him— uncaring of the others unless they seemed beneficial or a nuisance in his eyes. he didn't consider making choices that would make everyone happy, he would want to be the last man standing and leave everyone else to rot. the only reason he would try to make others survive with him would only because it's easier to reach for what he wanted that way.

a tale of an unloved boy. that summed up his story nicely, he supposed. but how did it began, you may ask. well, he was a child of a very unhappy couple. a lazy man who didn't want to do any work and a desperate woman falling deeper into insanity as she had to constantly deal with the other. it couldn't be helped, though, as the man was the reason she had a roof over her head rather than living homeless and in her parent's roach infested home.

to his father, he and his mother were tools the man could use to do all the other tasks. to his mother, he was just another reason that made this life of her's even more hellish. they didn't particularly care about him, and he thought it had been alright. that it was normal for children to be treated like such.

until their friends with their children came, and he saw the warmth and affection in the way they held the boys and girls. and it was also in these moments that his mother would hold him close instead of pushing him away, his father would ruffle his hair kindly instead of smacking it, and there's warmth instead of coldness and—

he was greedy for more of it ( even if it had mostly always been fake ).

and then his search for the treasure began. what's love? he's not really sure. going to school, in the confines of his home, outside in the market—he always tried to see any signs of love. during the days where tension wasn't so high in the household, he'd be watching countless of romance movies and watch people hold each other, kiss and even more. he thought, was that where love began? he's not sure, but his hands desperately grasped onto anything that would give him the answer.

he had watched idols sing and dance on stage, being loved by all. he wondered what it would feel like to be loved by so many people, and he's so envious of the fact that a large mass of people would give them such affection. but he couldn't help but wonder— if he were to go onto that same stage, would he be just as loved? perhaps, that's why he found himself singing too many times, to rap with all his heart and attempt to dance to a few of the choreography he's seen.

he also had dolls that were from others as gifts—for a crude substitute—were the source of warmth and affection. he's named them all and given them personalities. he changed his voices and learned ventriloquism to give them more life. he would kiss them, hug them and rely on them when he had no one else. they're his coping mechanism that he would want to save from the cruelty of the world. 

it's not like he was friendless, though. when he went to school, he listened to his mother. she had constantly forced her ideas into his brain, told him that he must be polite and smart. and with a handsome face like his, he attracted some attention. he's actually not able to meet his mother's standards. his friends were more like acquaintances as he's not one to be able to hang out much after school's over unless he wanted to face his father's anger. but he's rather popular, and he had been able to attract a few of the girls' attention.

but in a certain person's eyes, he was her everything.

she had been the answer to his questions. na hyemi appeared with a kind smile on her face and giving him a doll for his gift on valentine's day. the doll was cute, a rather large teddy bear that was half the size of his torso. she was his senior in high school and he had been shocked but touched. because of that gift, she had earned a soft spot in his heart.

he named the doll hyemi, because he wanted to name it after her. he gave the doll the same amount of love, and he frequently slept with it in his arms. he would vent out all his feelings to it but once her left, he exited out of his room, he unconsciously would put up a front yet again. he never noticed an odd glint and shine to that teddy bear's eye.

afterward, in school, hyemi would constantly find him and be there for him. she would tell him things he had always wanted to know, and he thought that the fact she related with him must be the work of the red string of fate. and when she had confessed to him and asked him if he wanted to figure out what love was together—he agreed.

but then she became the final push that sent him to madness. he had noticed that there was something wrong. but he ignored it all the time. he was happy with hyemi. he was loved by her. but he couldn't help but notice the difference in the way that hyemi's ( the doll ) eyes that shined differently from others, or the fact that it felt as if something was inside of it.

it's a blessing in disguise when his father had snatched that doll from his room because the man felt that he was being too 'defiant'. he had been terrified and tried to make the man stop, but the raging sloth didn't listen to him and proceeded to rip it.

only to find that a camera had been inside it the whole time.

he's never really snapped before, but on that day he had. there had been an eerie silence once the camera dropped to the floor, both males shocked to find it. yet, at the same time, somewhere deep inside of him he had expected it. he had wanted to believe that their love was pure and great, but there's always been that smidgen of distrust he had for her.

he laughed before he started to scream profanities and stamped on the camera with his feet ( scars from that day faintly remained to this day ). then he changed his targets to his other dolls and started to shred it all with his hands. he felt so betrayed and broken. to think, that he now couldn't even trust items which didn't have a life like him and the vile humanity.

for once, his parents did something for him. they reported hyemi to the officers and she would be jailed for having stalked him. if it wasn't for the fact that the camera remained somewhat intact to be able to be traced to her. she had screeched at him that they were meant to be, but he had been simply silent as she kept on proclaiming that their love was meant to be.

he didn't think so anymore, he just saw that everything was merely an insanity.

cheers to the screwed up fellows. he and his mother made a pact. their shattered souls couldn't find familial love in each other, only putting up fronts and the like. but the more broken he got, the more his mother was more kind to him. it's messed up, but his mother was quite the green monster who despised his initial innocence.

his father died of an unfortunate food poisoning. but it wasn't murder as he and his mother had been together with the man's sister on a fine day. there had even been a picture together during the allotted time. the man had been alone in home, cooking his own food, but as he didn't know how he had poisoned his own food without realizing it.

no one needed to know that it was a lie. no one needed to know how hated the man was for his son and wife to take such drastic measures.

then life moved on without him. he would never be able to forget all he's done, he would never be pure, he would never be ignorant—but he could damn well pretend. it's something he did constantly and it would always be his defense against the madness that latched onto him. lately, he's also been drawing friends rather than taking items and making it a friend. in the end, he's still desperate for love.

with the newfound freedom, he was allowed to become an idol. it was a part of their pact, his assistance in ridding off the man would let him be what he wanted. there was also the fact that the deal was that they would only live together as long as they paid for their expenses equally. but for now, he's free from that bit until he gets a proper job. said job was for him to be an idol.

it's definitely a lucky break when he received a business card from midnight entertainment. even more fortunate was that he passed the auditions and became a trainee. other people may be applying for college by now, but he didn't want to bother with academies ( studying with hyemi whenever possible, her constant giggles when he got it wrong—fueled by her obsession and her forcing upon the red string on him ). so he focused more onto his singing, rapping, and dancing. he's not that skilled in the latter, but the former two was definitely skills he had been praised for.

he's going to get it. he vowed that he will get what he wanted—he'll find love and get his happily ever after.

na hyemi returned to his life with a bang. he could remember how horrified he had been on that day once the woman made her appearance. what's worse was that she had managed to lock themselves in his room with no way out for him. he started to scream bloody murder, not only causing the other members to hurriedly try to save him from the crazy woman but along with attracting the attention of their neighbors. the result was a broken down door, him looking ragged and even sporting scratches nad bruises, and many people holding onto her as she continued to holler how they were meant to be and that she would be the only one perfect for him. she was promptly sent to jail yet again.

the y and h from the 2012 stalking case was actually hello's yoojin and the saesang fan that broke into hello's dorms.
through some digging by some curious fans ( due to the fact that yoojin's reaction was a far cry from the image that most people were used to in regards to him and certain strange words said during the whole ordeal by him and her ). this led to them figuring out that the two had a history prior to the incident. fans began to worry about his well-being, some even demanding that the woman have a longer jail sentence. fans also stopped putting out so many memes of his fear of dolls as they came to understand why he's so war of it now.

basically, an anonymous person stated that they saw yoojin and jinha taking part of a, and quote, 'make out session that was going to become ing each other senseless soon'. most fans didn't think it was possible considering the natures of the two that was shown on screen, though others had become skeptical of their on screen images and somewhat believed it. albeit, once it was found out that the anonymous poster was actually the notorious and infamous na hyemi, people started to shift to the former side. especially after yoojin posting an apology for causing so much trouble to everyone around him because of the woman who would never let him go. fans became livid and na hyemi became the public enemy of society.  it's no wonder she decided it wasn't worth it to live any longer.

( no one needed to know that this was true. and no one needed to know how he manipulated events subtly in order to make all things favorable on his side. how fortunate he was that it had been that woman who found out instead of someone else.

and how cruel was it that he made her a scum. and how pitiful was she for having killed herself in the end not because she couldn't bear the hate from everyone—but for him.  she realized what he was doing and made it all the more easier for him to continue his lies. )

what's hello's yoojin's uality?
after the jinjin scandal, some people couldn't help but feel that he was homoual. the fact that he's always affectionate to all genders. heck, he's flirted with everyone ( even hong seokcheon! ). when asked, he even replied coolly that he thought gender didn't matter at all. plus, he's said he's unsure of it himself.  he did admit that he generally did such things because he wanted to give love to everyone, inciting several 'aw's from many who's heard or seen that scene.

FAMILY

ahn eunsoo - mother. a mother's love, he wondered how that would have felt. with her, they built a strange relationship that definitely didn't deserve to be called 'familial'. she had hated and loved him when he was born, but the hate grew more as his innocence grew brighter. she would be cold to him when he was young and didn't want to deal with him all that much. when he grew more broken, they ended up connecting more. she became less spiteful and envious, instead, clearing her mind and decided to take advantage of his ruined state. they gave each other freedom by getting rid of the one factor that blocked it—his father. nowadays, their relationship was still purely business. he paid for half of the living expenses, and she did the same. they contacted each other to give off a nice front and would act like a normal pair of son and mother in public. but in their own solitary space, they would become as frigid as antartica.

ahn woosik - father. the only thing he's grateful for the man was that he assisted in jailing hyemi and exposed her. other than that, he truly loathed the man. he's been forced to do chores, punished when going against the man, and the sort when he was alive. the monster in his life had been his father before hyemi came into his life. he blamed the man for his lack of proper childhood most and was relieved and so joyous when the older was finally gone for good. he didn't regret his actions, and would only go through the standard procedures of the funeral to play along with that 'good boy' image. he wanted to be an idol, after all, it would do no good if people found out that he was such a 'disrespectful' son.

FRIENDS

ociel cheon - fellow member. ociel didn't really know of his darker side despite living together with him. plus, he tends to try and bring the other out of his shell with his constant affectionate gestures and the sort. he didn't mind the oddness too, as long as ociel didn't reject his much too loving gestures too much, all is well. but due to their rather amiable nature, they did bond quite well together. not the closest, but good enogh.

general. if there was a member who was probably shipped with one too many people, it would probably be him. with how much he showed love to anyone, and his shameless flirting and the like, he's found himself to gain many ships despite not actually being truly close with most ( all ) of them. however, with his skills, he managed to make it seem that they were close even to the other person in the relationship. he's not afraid to throw them away if he needed to, though. he'salways ready to put anyone away in the trash if it benefitted him.

his desperation was what made him survive. his crave for love made him stay despite the many times he's been scolded for his lackluster dancing. he made it up with his better singing and rapping skills, though, constantly doing both arts when taking a break from dancing. there's not a day where he would be found not practicing intensely to succeed. they praised him for his tenacity, and it would take him four years of such a routine to let him debut.

but he didn't try to connect with the other trainees. well, he made it seem like he did. being nice to the others to a degree, but never really forming a tight bond. most of them truly called him a friend, and he's just using them to maintain stability. but he was closest to jinha, though, but that's due to a certain incident that they kept to themselves.

imagine a puzzle. now, imagine the pieces being fully connected and forming the shape perfectly, no pieces out of place. yet, you noticed something odd when you looked at the picture that it showed—it's a complete disaster. the picture put together did not connect, it was a deformed version of what it was supposed to actually be yet everything was somehow in place. that was what they were—a boy without love and a boy without friends, a boy who craved for love and another that craved for someone to trust, seemingly a pair of mismatched key and lock yet it worked together. when confined to their own space, he'd ask "do you love me?" because he always needed the confirmation, and the other would say "yes." because he didn't dare to lose a 'reliable' figure in his life. friends with benefits who thought they were more when they've only been using each other.

in the eyes of the fans, the jinjin couple was an adorable duo who were usually by each other's side. jinha listened to him and followed his command, and they definitely were more comfortable with having skinship together than when with others ( well, not really on his side since he's always been so affectionate ). fans saw them as adorable sweethearts, the kind of combination that would be the perfect material for that kind of fanfiction about the dorky, adorable boy meets popular playboy—when in truth, they met in the cruel entertainment industry, became what they were because he was drunk and wanted love and the other had been there at that exact timing, and the fact the latter just went along with it to this day. they're master and dog, broken souls that could piece together even if it wasn't actually right at all.

나혜미 - na hyemi. his first love. he would never forgive her. she would always be a nightmare to him, like a boogie monster ready to come out under his bed and ruin him. he couldn't look at dolls without thinking of her and feel that she was staring at him. perhaps, he's holding a grudge for too long, but he hated her too much. it's not the cameras that bothered him the most, it's the fact that she took his last string of innocence and torn it to unfixable pieces. love's his silver lining of hope in the cruel world, and for a brief moment, she had made him feel loved because he thought they were meant to be. that she had shared the same pain, tastes, and likings as him. he thought of her as a soulmate yet she's only been distorting herself so he could love her. she was the ugly trth that unknowingly broke down his pretty, white lies.

( it's the ugliness behind love that had broke him. it's about how he could recall long ago that the girl had black hair would change it to brown for him. the woman who was allergic to shrimps would eat it to the point she's hospitalized so he could eat the same food as him. it's how deformed she's become for him and what measures she'd take to get him that made him want to run away.

also, because i'm afraid of some things not being clear enough--- this guy's basically someone who hadn't got love to fuel him since young, and when he got it he became rather obsessed with it. he saw love as the holy grail, a treasure that won against any other. he saw it as something completely pure and good. but na hyemi showed how bad it could be and he didn't want this image of love to be tarnished at all so he tried to pretend that part of his life didn't exist and that na hyemi's gone forever.but due to this obsession of love, he did a lot of things much too cruel ( to be an idol, he helped his mother kill his father. to feel 'love' he took advantage of jinha. to be not hated, he ruined hyemi's life ). by now, a part of him knows that he's obsessed but he's done all those terrible things and couldn't try to stop himself now unless he wanted to accept that he's a monster. the thing you should know about him is that he always knew all the bad things he's done and all his life he was trying to avoid it by drowning in that messed up ideas of him
