MEMBERS AND RELATIONSHIPS —

HAN SOYI
"ah unnie please pay attention to the food i brought." xixiang says as she carefully lowers down soyi's phone, gently grabbing the gadget and placing it in front of soyi. its 12 am, and the two are currently on the floor, having just finished practicing. soyi smiles apologetically. i am thankful for you, xixiang thoughts as she nods along to whatever soyi's saying, while devouring her food.
there's something about han soyi that just makes you veer towards her. to xixiang, soyi is her star shining brightly in the sky, guiding her whenever she's in a rough sea. a leader, someone who xixiang looks up to. in times when xixiang finds herself unfamiliar with her surroundings, she would turn to soyi for help. though soyi is a great unnie whom xixiang is comfortable with, xixiang sometimes feels a bit jumpy around soyi. xixiang won't dare to disobey soyi's orders. soyi is like serein's superhero in the chinese girl's eyes. xixiang wishes to get to know soyi more, admiring how strong-willed she is. there's no doubt that han solo has earned xixiang's care and admiration.

ARDENE KIM MIYEON
"xixi! quick come here!" "what is it unnie?" "9gag just released a new video and its hella funny."
miyeon's brutal yet honest thoughts doesn't easily hurt xixiang though her sarcasm confuses xixiang and leaves her clueless at times. miyeon's a great company, yet she can be a little bit too much for xixiang to handle. xixiang doesn't mind, patiently dealing with miyeon and her miyeon-ness. nonetheless xixiang cares for the girl, appreciating her jokes. miyeon's powerful confidence is something xixiang wishes to have. xixiang switches from calling her miyeon to ardene. though she mostly calls her miyeon, sometimes she calls her ardene whenever the both of them are speaking english together. another thing, miyeon's egg rolls are awesome.

LEE SOOYOUNG
a muffled groan. "ah sooyoung unnie! i'm sorry, did i interrupt your sleep?" "yeah, kinda." "sorry. i er- was wondering if you can teach me the dance moves from yesterday? i tried to do it but its hard-" "i'm up, i'm up. just give me a sec." xixiang nods. "before we start dancing, there's a cup of ramen near my bag. take one, you look like you haven't eat in centuries."
the two are probably one of serein's awkward couples. the two are not too close yet not too distant either. xixiang is not too fluent in korean and sooyoung doesn't know that xixiang speaks english. despite that, xixiang is on okay terms with sooyoung. at times she would go and asks sooyoung to teach her a lesson or two on dancing. sooyoung's dancing blows xixiang's mind away. the both of them could make a good dance duo in the future, sooyoung with her powerful moves and xixiang with her delicate ones. sooyoung looks out for xixiang though, something which xixiang greatly appreciates. despite the older's sarcastic remarks leaving xixiang puzzled (for xixiang cannot understand when someone's being serious or not), xixiang warms up at the older's caring gestures. hopefully when sooyoung learns that xixiang can understand english, or when xixiang has improved her korean, the two will talk more often than before. they may be a bit awkward with each other, but hopefully in time their relationship will improve.

PARK HYERIM
"meimei, what are you doing?" "i'm hugging you jiejie!" hyerim exclaims, hugging xixiang. xixiang softly smiles. reaching over, she gently ruffles hyerim's hair. ah, some people are just too precious for this world.
a precious baby whom xixiang greatly adores. hyerim is xixiang's meimei (or little sister in chinese). xixiang wonders how she can survive with hyerim always melting her heart daily with her antics. xixiang cannot bear to see hyerim shed tears, and would try to calm and soothe her down when she's in an emotional state. hyerim is a warm and friendly person, approaching xixiang first and catching her off-guard when hyerim chats her up. xixiang might not show it due to her quiet outer appearance, but she cares deeply for hyerim. the two relate in a way, both fond of peacefulness.

KIM HYUNJU
"hyunju, do you want to come with me for a late night dinner? i found a good restaurant that serves spicy food!" "well, i'd have to think about it-" "please? you've been working too hard. i promise we won't take long." xixiang waits for a second or two, before slowly smiling as hyunju nods.
hyunju is like a beautiful mystery to xixiang. at first, xixiang keeps on wondering who kim hyunju truly is. she makes the decision to approach hyunju. the girl might be slightly distant or a bit hard to approach, but to xixiang hyunju's more than that. xixiang slowly digs deeper, looking past hyunju's flaws. hyunju's steadfastness and her strong will inspires xixiang to not give up easily. xixiang cares for hyunju nonetheless, viewing her as a human, and not a robot. deep down xixiang knows that hyunju is slowly trying to open herself up, and it warms xixiang's heart. the both of them being more on the quiet side, xixiang appreciates the talks she has with hyunju, feeling a blanket of warmth whenever she's around hyunju. though hyunju might not see xixiang caring for her more than usual, there's always time and room for progress.

BAE EUNJOO
"unnie! have you tried starbucks' newest flavour? its-" "uh..what is a starbucks eunjoo-ya?" "what is- you don't know?! well then, come with me unnie, let me take you on an adventure! you will thank me later." eunjoo grins. "ah- alright pikacute dongsaeng."
xixiang's self-proclaimed pikacute dongsaeng. eunjoo is like a charger, while xixiang is the battery. its no lie that whenever xixiang is around eunjoo she feels a surge of energy pumping her up. eunjoo projects a happy-go-lucky kind of aura, and it inspires xixiang in many ways. eunjoo is more of a rushing river, moving around endlessly while xixiang is more of a calm and peaceful flowing river. though the two might have a stark contrast in terms of personality, they both have a good relationship with each other, having conversations here and there (usually eunjoo is the one who starts, while xixiang nods along and talks back, overwhelmed yet happy that eunjoo interacted with her).

SHIM MIYEON
"xixi jiejie ~ are you okay?" "ah miyeon! i am fine, its just that i feel like this dance move is quite complicated." miyeon linked her arm with xixiang's. "you can do this jiejie! let's not give up okay?" says miyeon, cheering xixiang up. xixiang warmly hugs miyeon's head, a small smile gracing her lips as she engulfed the tiny nugget in her arms. "thank you, miyeon."
miyeon is one of xixiang's subject of adoration. xixiang's thankful for all the times miyeon's there to cheer her up. without miyeon's constant cheering, xixiang would have probably give up or became lost. at times xixiang feels bad for being too awkward or easily gives up, relying on the younger girl to boost her spirits up. miyeon's constant talking will forever be a mystery for xixiang, because how can one talks a lot without feeling tired? whenever miyeon talks endlessly, it surprises xixiang but nonetheless miyeon's chatterbox trait is something xixiang finds interesting. xixiang adores miyeon very much. miyeon is like a little sister to xixiang, a little sister who's always there for xixiang. miyeon's sharp bluntness doesn't easily hurt xixiang, for it acts more like a wake up call to xixiang. deep down, at times, xixiang can feel miyeon internally struggling with problems that she deals herself, and wishes to help miyeon and be there for her, just as how the younger had always been there for xixiang.

HADA KATSUMI
"unnie!" "yes..?" "even without gravity, i would still fall for you." katsumi sent an exagerrated wink to xixiang. "i..." xixiang started to vibrate, laughter threatening to escape her lips.
both being foreign members (katsumi being half foreign) the two can somehow relate, in a way. yet xixiang knows serein members have an easier time approaching and befriending katsumi rather than with her. and that's okay for you can't always win everyone, and xixiang herself also takes a liking to katsumi. katsumi is one of the causes of xixiang's rare laughter. katsumi's neverending antics always manages to put a smile on xixiang's face. often xixiang founds herself vibrating whenever she sees katsumi doing something funny. the two shares a good friendly relationship. xixiang tries to make efforts in getting to know katsumi better, and not only know her as the tall girl who's very funny. there's something about katsumi that draws xixiang in. maybe its her humorous yet humble nature, or her subtle caring gestures, which xixiang appreciates. yet what is xixiang to katsumi remains a mystery only katsumi knows. xixiang switches from calling her katsumi to sungmi, alexandra, alex and lexi. though xixiang usually calls her katsumi and sungmi, or sumi as both of her japanese and korean name contains the word sumi.

INTERVIEW —
Q : “HELLO! PLEASE GREET THE FANS.” 
A :  smiles gently before answering. "hello there, i am serein's black moon and lead dancer, xixu." bows 90 degrees before straightening her back. face lits up, eyesmiles decorating her facial expression.

Q : “PLEASE TELL US WHAT YOU FEEL ABOUT SEREIN'S DEBUT. HOW WAS THE PREPARATION FOR YOUR DEBUT?” 
A :  "ah - it felt like a miracle! i did not expect to debut in a long time, as my skills are still lacking, in my opinion. but i am thankful for this opportunity. its feels exciting but at the same time i am a bit nervous." smiles sheepishly. "yet i am sure serein will do well! we went through difficulties and personal hardships, and we overcame it all. we will perform with our very best, please kindly support us everyone ~ thank you!" smiles widely before mouth splitting into a grin.

Q : “WHAT IS YOUR IDEAL TYPE? IS THERE SOMEONE WHO RESEMBLES THOSE TRAITS? WHO IS YOUR IDEAL MAN?” 
A :  mouth forms a tiny o. "omo? i don't think i have one?" looks around cluelessy for hints , wondering if she's supposed to answer in a certain way. "well...i like someone who treats other people, family and friends kindly. someone who's caring, understanding. someone who trusts me enough to share their burdens and problems with me, patient in keeping up with my antics. my supporting pillar in rough storms." smiles lightly. "and also...someone who's funny?" looks up in thought. "looks don't matter, as everyone is awesome just the way they are!" does a heart-shooting pose before shaking her head, chuckling and tucking her hair behind her ears.

Q : “WHAT IS A GENRE YOU WANT TO TRY IN THE FUTURE?” 
A :  "a lot! the first one is a classical concept, where serein members dress up in elegant dresses and a violin or piano as the background music. the second one could be something light with tropical feeling? another one is a tough girl crush concept, and i promise this is the last one! a fun, upbeat, colourful concept with cool electronic-like music." does a two thumbs up.

Q : “WHO ARE YOU CLOSEST TO IN THE GROUP?” 
A :  looks up at the ceiling in thought, forming her answer in her head. nods to herself before answering. "i'm not too good in my korean yet so there's some certain language barrier, but all of serein tries their best to communicate with me. i love all members, and i would like to think i am close to them all." tucks her hair behind her ears, smiling genuinely at the thought of serein.

Q : “WHAT IS YOUR INITIAL REACTION WHEN YOU WERE CHOSEN TO DEBUT AS A MEMBER OF SEREIN? DID YOU HAVE ANY REACTIONS TO THE MEMBERS? THE GROUP NAME PERHAPS?” 
A :  "i was surprised, as i never thought that i would debut in a short period of time. i felt nervous too, as i have previously stated, my skills were still lacking. yet deep down i felt beyond happy, honoured for the chance and trust being given to me." eyes turned glassy. xixiang blinks twice and lightly chuckles. "ah - when i first saw the members i felt out of place, as they all are very talented and amazing. i was a bit afraid that i might let down my group, dragging them back due to my lack of skills and other things. communication was the first thing that popped in my mind. all of the members are korean, some are half, and i am the only full foreigner so i felt that there might be a language barrier between us. but no, all of the members treated me kindly, trying their best to communicate with me. i've never felt so happy and grateful." laces fingers together. "as for the name, i do not know what does it mean at first. but it sounded beautiful! when i found out the meaning, i felt like the name fits the group, a unique name and concept." tucks her hair behind one ear.

Q : “FANS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR ACTIVITIES AND DEBUT. DO YOU HAVE A MESSAGE FOR YOUR FANS?” 
A :  clasps hands together. "hello everyone! i would like to thank all of you for supporting us this far, you all truly amaze me. your support means a lot, it strengthens serein in many ways. we could not have been able to do this all without your help and continuous love. we are working hard to show you all a great performance. i hope everyone will continue to look forward to us with interest and love. please anticipate our debut everyone! thank you all so much!" bows down. "i truly appreciate you all, i love you, and once again thank you!" forms a heart with her hands and moves it from side to side. grinning and chuckling at herself afterwards.
