My Jackson fic, the first long fic that I really completed, got featured today! So now I have a gold star on one of my stories :D  (idk why the screenie is so blurry ;-_-)

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay <3 <3 <3

This is so dope. And like, the comments on that story have always been nothing but super positive, and even now, they are still super positive. And sometimes people even tell me that they've reread the story, multiple times too! That's so cool.

I wrote that story out of pure wanting to read something but nothing quite fit my ideal, so I just put together the elements I wanted to see into one story, and it turned out pretty decent I think! And some parts of that story are things I really related to or went back into my own experiences to inspire some parts and, just that fic is something that I will always look at fondly. I started it during a weird time in my life, and decided to base it off another weird time in my life, while also making it a fanfic and something readable and entertaining. Writing it was so fun and also kinda fulfilling. I remember there was a time when I posted a new chapter every other day, and I would only get like 1 or 2 comments, but that was all I needed back then. It was only my second story on here and my first story barely received a comment every 5 chaps, so 1 or 2 every single chap? That was super awesome to me. 

I remember putting a lot of effort into promoting that story and figuring out how to make it not just another cliche story, while also keeping it something that I felt proud of and really enjoyed the plot line of, and I think it went well. Of course its not the best thing ever, but it taught me a lot about writing and more importantly, a lot about storytelling. And the fact that no matter how good or bad a writing style is, what matters most is if the story is told well or told in an entertaining/interesting way. 

Every once in a while I get on a blog post and whine about how I don't like writing, or how I do like writing but I don't know if I want to spend time doing it. But honestly, I think it's just that I can't focus solely on writing, otherwise I overwhelm myself. Like, I wrote this story while I was in school AND self studying AND somehow had a really healthy social life, and doing this story was my free time to myself. So I think so long as I have a routine, then I will for some reason make writing stories a part of my routine, and thats when it's fun. Idk, I just wanted to say that bc it was on my mind.

But yeah, I've figured out a new routine for myself and while I already have a bunch of random abandoned stories on my profile, there is a new "series' that I'm going to start soon. That was on my mind too and I just wanted to mention it bc it's going to be really....fun...and expressive for me lol. And I'm excited to do that bc its just gonna be for fun while I work on other more important parts of myself and my life, so I think it'll turn out very interesting and light hearted but also meaningful, similar to how Game Changer was ^o^

It's a decent story that will only take a few hours or so to read, and is very slice of life and even though it seems cliche, its progressive and there are turns and twists that make it original and gives the characters unique lives and all that. I started writing it almost 2 years ago (wow, that sounds like a long time lol) and finished writing it over a year ago now, so my writing style wasn't the BEST and for sure has improved since then.... but that story still isn't too bad I don't think. I really like it and I'm happy to have written it, and I hope you like it, and I hope I have as much fun writing my future stories the way I had fun writing that story :)
