PERSONALITY:
out of everyone you will possibly meet in your life, yeseul is probably that friend who will randoly show up at your door at 2am asking you to come out and grab some tacos with her. you'd look at her like she's crazy, but she'll tell you time waits for no one and those tacos aren't gonna eat themsleves and you'll be forced to comply. if anyne is found spontaneously breaking into song and dance, she's also your girl. yeseul is all about living in the moment and wants everyone to enjoy life just as much as she does. no one is as generous with her time and energy as she is when it comes to encouraging others whether it's in work or just life in general.

yeseul is also the kinda gal that marches to the beat of her own drum and won't take from no one. fair warning, she has a smart mouth. she's not afraid to sass you and will sass you and make you feel like the dumbest human being that has ever walked the face of the earth. but understand this, this is her way of showing she enjoys your company. you're not really friends until you're mean to each other. to put it in short, she's a little who is fluent in sarcasm and takes pride in pushing peoples' buttons just for giggles.

despite having that side to her, she's extremely hardworking. she always aims high and when she cannot reach what she sets out to, she's her own worst critic and will beat herself up about it. she's also not very confrontation and avoids conflict by talking her way out of it or doing whatever takes to avoid it. she's also very emotional and vulnerable to criticism, but is working on it. she has a tendency to overthink what someone is saying or reads too much in between the lines and sometimes all of that overthinking pushes her into a corner and makes her upset for awhile.

BACKGROUND:
being born to workaholics was tough. she hardly saw her parents and things like money and material wealth never appealed much to her.  her parents thought they could buy her her happiness to make up for the lost time they shared. yeseul coped with her lonlieness through reading and creative writing.  she kept a journal with her and would write often when she was a child, music playing in the background.  words helped her relieve stress and writing stories and poems came easy for her and her teachers took notice of this talent quickly, encouraging her to submit her work to scholastic compeitions and such.

at age 13, she started a youtube channel just for the heck of it which later became quite popular.  it first started off as more of a comedy channel/vlog kinda thing (think mychonny, leendaproductions). upon request, she uploaded a hidden talents video tyoe deal where she covered a song by one of her favoite artists at the time. when she awoke the next morning, she was surprised to find her video had gone viral and since then she continued to upload more and more. 

she was also very involved in the underground rapping scene that begun  at age 15.  She thanks her guy friends for giving her that little push to perform an original piece and had gone on to earn herself a name, performing under the stagename RO.E. Prior to making a name for herself, she had been complimented on her ability to write creatively - stories, poetry, etc. you name it- Yeseul was all over it. 

 thanks to one of her loyal subscribers, a representative from jyp entertainment just so happened overhear what his daughter was listening to and was drawn in by yeseul's voice. he showed her channel to the CEO and he was impressed by her vocals, surprisingly. not too long after, she received an offer to train under their company if she had any interest in being a part of his next BIG girl group, TWICE. it was a gamble. yeseul had always seen singing and rapping as a side-hobby never someting she'd consider doing for the rest of her life.  Her goal had always been to apply to med school, follow through with it in hopes to become a pediatric doctor, but then again life was all about taking risks so she accepted.

her dancing had improved significantly in the three years that she trained under this company and she was ecstatic to learn that soon enough she would be able to sing on the same stage as her favorite stars; however, things changed when JYP announced she'd be part of a survival girl group show thing- "um hello? that was not part of the deal?" but she decided to participate in it anyway and was even made it to the final rounds, but was cut from the group for reasons that still remain unknown to this day. JYP said something about her not being serious enough and quite frankly, she was kind of glad he said no. this whole girly-girl vibe TWICE seem to give off didn't exactly appeal to her.  with her background in rap and her interest in the hip-hop scene, she was hoping to do more edgy things which she assumed TWICE would stray from.

To be honest, she was a little hesitant to accept the offer to audition for BigHIt, but was glad she was encouraged to do so, it opening many doors for her. Growing up, it had always been herself and herself alone- it was hard for her to make female friends given her status.  People were always kissing up to her because of her wealth and all this stuff she didn't even want.  She never had a chance to experience what true friendship was so she's both excited and anxious to see what kind of girls she'll be working with in the years to come. She could only hope these ladies are genuine and kind enough to accept her with open arms and she in turn will shower them with so much love and affection they could diee. Essentially, these girls are her home away from home.

she's always been great at poetry/creative writing growing up and she attributes most of her quick-thinking skills to this.  it also helps that she's quite witty as well- helps her come up with roasts for fun. she's great at keeping on beat too and coming up with stuff on the fly.

a weakness would be that she has trouble coming up with stuff under stress. if she's stressed, nothing comes to her. she can't perform as well as she'd like.

FAMILY:
she's not very close with her parents, in fact she hardly sees them because they're both career-oriented individuals- your classic ceo/secretary couple. they own a popular cosmetics brand 'Etude House.'  she has an older brother named Joohyuk, who is doing more practical things with his life- he went to college and became a prosecuting attorney.  since she's the youngest, she gets away with most things. she gets along with her brother the most- and is always checking up on her to see if shes okay or needs anything.


FRIENDS: 
every gal's gotta have that punching-bag like best friend right? well for yeseul it's none other than nct's jaehyun. if anyone knows anything and everything there is to know about her, it's him.  to help her de-stress, they're often seen playing a "friendly" game of basketball, and by "game" it's more like her complaining about how unfair the match is and her calling him sky-scraper, freakishly tall human, or anything of the derivative.

CURRENTLY: has an unspoken thing with park jimin; i'll leave the ending up to you.

in that awko-taco phase where they're not sure if they're just friends or if there's something more there. there's clearly some unspoken neither of them have said anything about but know it's there.  yeseul is still under the impression that they've slept together before so each time they accidentally make contact or he says something to her that could be taken in a suggestive way, she gets hella freakin' flustered.

after she caught jooheon (previous boyfriend) cheating on her, she was e n r a g e d. jooheon chased her out into the streets hoping to consol and win her back, telling her she was simply overreacting and claimed her still loved her. yeseul didn't buy it for a second and wagered that if he could sleep around recklessly, she would too and would do so with the /next/ person she bumped into. enter park jimin. he had overheard this noisy couple's dispute thanks to loud-mouth brunette over here.  he wasn't sure what in him possessed him to interefere, but he did.  he purposely bumped into her and once he did, she asked him if he would sleep with her to which he cooly agreed, wrapped his arm around her shoulders and begun to lead her away. she could hear jooheon yelling after her something about if she left with this guy now, they were really over.  yeseul could care less at this point, waved her hand dismissively and left.

now to answer whether they slept or not? yeseul couldn't remember most of what happened after they'd left her now ex in the dust.  Only fragments from that night replayed itself in her head.  She remembered thanking him for saving her- telling him she wasn't actually the type of girl to randomly ask someone to hook up, but invited him for drinks.  Knowing her she most likely drank past her limit. The next morning, she awoke in his bed, dressed in what she assumed was his shirt. It was too big for her. To this day, Jimin has never once confirmed whether they slept together or not. Each time she brought it up he would smoothly evade it or get flustered or something.  She took this odd behavior as a yes.  Why else would she be in his clothes?  The last memory she had before everything went fuzzy was her pushing him down onto his bed, fire burning bright in her eyes. (Gah. The heck you doin' Yeseul?)

nothing happened that night - jimin was perfectly sober and could attest to that.  Yeseul had passed out on top of him before she could even touch him. somewhere in the night she had tried to strip off all of her clothes, he guessed she was used to sleeping without anything on? but he was a decent man, he wasn't the type to take advantage of a drunk girl so he slipped one of his shirts over her head and let her sleep in his bed.  for her own safety, he slept in the living room couch that night. he chose not to tell her what happened as an excuse to continue talking to her- a little someting to hold over her head to make her flustered some may say.

the two had kept in touch and met more often than one would think. it was actually jimin who reached out to her and told her BigHit was searching for talented female trainees and that she was the first one that came to mind. the pair had actually bounced choreography ideas off of each other shortly after she'd left starship entertainment. they'd meet up when his schedule would allow and he'd show her what he was working on and she'd try to mirror him or offer constructive criticism which he took well. vice versa. their relationship did not change much after she joined, if anything it brought them closer together.


EXTRA TRIVIA POINTS:
- yeseul likes to annoy jimin with her bad dad jokes/nerdy pick-up lines. 
- yeseul secretly likes it when jimin drops his cheesy/greasy lines on her. think nam woohyun's flirting (LOL). but she puts up a front and says things like "d i s g u s t. who are you? b y e."  or threatens to whack him with a pool noodle and tell him to quit his .
- she also likes his hugs a lot. since he's taller, she tends to feel safer in his arms, but she probably wouldn't ever admit it to his face.
- the small things in life matter most to her- so being able to dance together in the comfort of his own home, out in the open, or even in the studio
- just being with him makes her happy.
- he makes her feel beautiful despite her constantly trying to tell him she's a freakin' potato.
- he's also the only person who calls her by her korean name, yeseul. and surprisingly, she's okay with it. it makes her heart flutter each time her name leaves his lips. 
- jimin & yeseul met early 2015, around the time SIXTEEN started.

she'd had people interested in her before, but because she'd had her heart broken badly in the past, she doesn't really give others a chance in fear that she may get hurt again so she keeps them at bay and uses her playful nature to tip-toe her way around talk about relationshiops and stuff- "The person you've reached has a mailbox that has not been set up yet.
