Hi there! ( ^ - ^)/

I've never used this Blog option here but I feel like I neeeeeeeed to rant about this and here would be the only place where I can do it ( >.< ) 

I don't mean to offend anyone or attack anyone so, please, if you feel offended or attacked you can say it with respect. That being said, onto the rant! 

Basically, I've been dealing with this since I got into the EXO fandom. I've been/am in other fandoms too though none of them are K-pop related (Where my whovians at?!) but I've never felt like this in any of the other fandoms. It's about the pairings and OTPs. Mt philosophy has always been whatever rocks your boat. Kind of, Hakuna Matata and live and let live. However since I got into this fandom I experienced different things. 

I am not bashing the whole fandom. I know there are awesome people in here and I really admire and like a lot of them but some people, sometimes, annoys me and though I try not to let it affect me, it sometimes does. 

All this rant comes from the "I believe in Chanbaek/Kaisoo/Hunhan/insertanothermalexmaleOTP and if you don't believe in them you are a filthy XXXX and you don't deserve to be their fan blablabla". So yeah. Petty I know but it does annoy me. 

Now, I love Chanbaek. To be really honest, I think they would do such a nice couple but I don't really think they are together in real life. That's the reason why I avoid cannon story with them two. It's a personal choice and I'm not condemning anyone who reads cannon stories. It is that for me, I don't feel comfortable reading about them (or anyone for that matter) to be in a relationship with someone who is close to them or they know if I don't  know it's true. It has nothing to do with the fact they are both males (puhlease!) I feel the same way about MihnoxSully cannon stories (to give a straight example). I however enjoy reading them as a couple in AUs because, as I said, imagining them together from a physical hypothetical point of view is nice. Those characters have their own stories but with their physical description (also, reading about people I find attractive is a plus, tbh). 

I don't feel less of a fan because I don't enjoy cannon stories or because I don't think they are together as a couple in real life. For those who always say "there are many signs!" I stand by my opinion. I think there are a vast amount of cultural differences with South Korea so, what looks like clearly love for us, could be just how they are used to portray their friendship or what they think could be fun to do while being good for business. With this, I'm not saying it couldn't be real, it could perfectly be. I just don't think it is and while they don't say anything about it, I won't feel comfortable playing with someone uality. In my opinion, korean standards (for many things) are different than western's ones so, being cute is something really normal for a guy and it doesn't go against heterouality. That's it. 

So yeah, that's it. I also have some thoughts on Straight stories with Idols but I'm not going to rant today about it because I already feel better than before I began writting lol 

Anyway, if anyone read this thank you very much :) (Also, I'm sorry you had to read about this but I needed to get it off my chest!)
