— hyerin is a very determined person, once she got her head into something, she’ll try her best to see it through until the end. she also has this uncanny ability to stay focus on any task given to her and is willing to make the necessary sacrifices needed to make it successful. she will not back down no matter what other people say about it in fact the more people discourage her the more she wants to succeed in it. hyerin confident and gracious. hyerin is not cocky, but she knows who she is and she has a good sense of her self. even though she knows she is not the most talented member, she stills give off an aura of the fact that her trying is enough. hyerin is also someone that likes to believe in the best in things, she would accept people or things as they are and doesn’t believe in judging someone by what they were or by what other people think of them because she would accept you just the way you are.                                              

— hyerin is honest and blunt. she doesn't hide anything- if you ask her a question, she'll answer as honestly as she can, as long as she doesn't step on anyone in the process. she will tell you what's on her mind. she prefers to rip the bandage off rather than slowly peel it off. she isn't trying to hurt someone's feelings but sometimes it just comes out like that.  because of that she rarely talks since she’s too direct and can hurt the other person so she finds it easier to not talk. she will feel uncomfortable to make small conversations so she’s awkward at this type of things. she’d rather be blunt on giving her own opinions than be fake.                                                                                                                              

— hyerin’s negative trait is that she is naturally reserved. she has difficulty in openly admitting what she is feeling and rather than outright expressing what she feels, hyerin would often bottles everything inside and let it slowly eat her from the inside. hyerin also doesn’t make connections with people quickly, it takes her a long time to be fully comfortable with the people around her and because of this she doesn’t seem to be emotionally invested in anything but her dances and music, even when she is close to someone there would be a small sense that she is holding herself back from fully expressing herself.

—  hyerin was seen the potential of singing during her early elementary years. she was participating a talent show at her school. at first hyerin wanted to perform a dance routine since it's her biggest strength yet she chose singing at the end because everyron was talking about doing the same thing. her family was surprised when she told them about it since no one in either sides of her family had a music bone anywhere in their body. when hyerin had sung her heart out to a song her music teacher recommended on the talent show, she surprised her parents even more. hyerin could actually sing pretty well despite her voice being undeveloped. although she didn't win, she still got positive feedback from her classmates and teachers as well as other parents.                                                         

— hyerin wasn't blessed with everything she wanted. her mother was opposed of her becoming a singer. she thought her daughter's dream of becoming a singer was out of question. she wanted her only daughter to be succesful. her mother wanted her to focus only on her grades, grow up and have more stable jobs and huge paychecks. hyerin's mother didn't want her to deal with the crap idols have. hyerin, however, got heavily supported by her father and friends. her father understands why hyerin's mother is so opposed of she being a singer but then he realized it wasn't his right to prevent her daughter from chasing her dreams. hyerin has prepeared to audition for jyp ent and got scouted as a trainee when she was eleven years old. hyerin has been a trainee under jyp ent. for four years before quitting. after that, she begun auditioning to various agencies. she was then auditioned for sm ent. as her last resort and finally got accepted as a trainee.

LIKES

— rainy days; if you're looking for hyerin, check if it's raining. if it is, look towards the nearest large window and you will find her there with her face smashed up against the glass watching the rain. if it's not, i wish you luck on finding her.
— mushroom soup; not only does it taste great, but hyerin is left with a warm and fuzzy feeling after having it
— action/disaster movies; since it's not "legal" or "socially acceptable" for hyerin to blow things up in real life, she satisfies her pyromaniac tendencies by watching action movies with lots of explosions.
— winter; she would like to snuggle up and getting comfy with a fluffy blanket while sipping a hot choco besides a window

DISLIKES

— summer; it's always too hot and she feels sticky and gross for the whole season. winter is much more preferable.
— perfumes; hyerin doesn't appreciate being suffocated when you walk past her thanks very much.
— rude people; manners are a thing that hyerin likes. so when people ignore them and are blatantly rude it really pisses her off quite quickly.
— crowded spaces; she is a bit claustrophobic.                                                               — being reminded; hyerin though seems calm, she doesn't have any tolerant for someone that constantly reminds her about every single things that she has already know. 

HOBBIES

— reading; she reads all types of reading material but mostly novels
— composing/writing lyrics; hyerin always come up with new songs and writes the lyrics in her free time or when she got inspired
— singing; it's part of her daily routine. singing is her passion of course.

HABITS

— biting her upper lips; bites her upper lips when she gets anxious. a habit her mother detest because it's improper and very unladylike.
— another weird habit; whenever she's fixing or making something, she will inevitably put one of the tools or parts into to hold it while she works on it with her hands. even if it'd make more sense for her to just put the item down.               
— flies to another universe; hyerin sometimes tends to stare into spaces and and daydreams. yet suprisingly, she is still are of her surrounding.                                                                                                                                

trivia

— not a morning person; she doesn't want to get up in the morning at all if she can help it, and when she does she wobble around as if she's some sort of zombie.
— baking/cooking; since she doesn't talk much, she bakes for the people she cherishes as a sign of her affection to them and hands it to them with no words said; if they're close to her, they should already know what that means.                  
— what a softy; hyerin from the start seems cold. quiet, serious and emotionless but she can be very sweet and soft on the inside.                              
— motionless; she's never seen panicking. the only instance she did, is when her pet dog was sent to the hospital. turns out, she was choking on something.                                     — hibernate; sleeping for the whole day when she has a bad mood                                   — gadget freak; always carries her phone and headphones with her                                   — variety shows; her favourite show is the return of superman.                                             — somewhat a lazy person; she doesn't wash her worn clothes for days. once, she didn't bathe for two days because too tired to drag herself to bathroom.                                       — an ace for anything; she is a very good actress, model, you name it. she'll do it without sweating adrop

— father • lee sungkyu / 48 / contractor / laidback, understanding, playful / 9                      unlike hyerin's mother, her father is a lot more lenient. he's that laidback dad that would sneak you desert, even after your mother said no. hyerin and her father always seem to be joking around and there are never any awkward moments between the two, which is why hyerin is a lot closer to her father. he allows her to do what she wants as long as it's legal and it makes her happy. 

— mother • kim jungah / 43 / office manager / strict, serious, caring / 7                                 her parenting can be quite strict. this leaves her and hyerin's relationship in a not so good place. around each other it's very tense and awkward, and when they talk?  it's forced and short. sure hyerin loves her mother to death but she feels her mother is overbearing and she can't help but dislike how her mother is always breathing down her neck. her mother, however, doesn't notice this and is just trying to be a good parent                                       

— best friend • baek sooyoung / 18 / high school student / outgoing, bold, loud / 9           basically her sister from another mister and her wifey for all reasons. they act like children (not so much from hyerin, she is is still reserved) when they're around each other and tend to have cheesy pick up line battles whenever they get together. sometimes they'd bicker like a married couple over the pettiest things, then cuddle (or hug) up like lovers later.        

—  best friend • plotline orion / 18 / co-member / bubbly, optimistic, quick-witted / 8 /       they trained together. ever since their meeting in sm building, her and hyerin were always seen together. they got closer thanks to their age and that she isn't one of those mean trainees. she was actually the first ever person to approach hyerin in sm and is the only girl trainee to ever talk to her besides sooyoung. she is always seen smiling, which always makes hyerin smile. hyerin dubbed her as "the mood maker" as she would always make a person's day brighter. her smile can light up the atmosphere of the room. that is one of the main reasons why hyerin loves being with the cute girl.
