—jaeun is very sociable. jaeun loves adventure, social events and anything where people are involved. she is graceful while attending events and known by her confidence that radiates from her twinkle eyes. she is known to be the listeners if in a discussion. however, she is not fully silent but do voice her opinions now and then. just because she will allow people to lead on, this doesn’t mean it applies to everyone. that is only reserved for people who jaeun cares for. since jaeun is a pandora box of thoughts, the discussions can be very interesting. a good social companion is what a true jaeun is.                                  

— have you seen a dolphin? they are known for their friendly and compassionate nature. they will make sure they don’t get eaten by sharks and even they won’t allow other fishes to get them eaten up by sharks. that is how a jaeun is. she is compassionate and friendly. she sees others problems so clearly and end up taking it on to her. If you are her friend, she makes sure she goes out of her way to help and safeguard you against any such mess. she is a must have friend in your friend cycle and will be all ears if you have any problem troubling you.                                                  

— jaeun is someone that could stand on her own two feet. it can be a good thing or a bad thing. jaeun can take care of herself very well which is because she has been living by herself while being a trainee. she takes care of everything for herself and rarely asks for help. jaeun isn’t aware that this could turns into a problem for her. there is a bad side to being independent. when she struggles on something, she never asks anyone for help. She would do it by herself and will ignore any aid from someone else.                                                  

— fortunately for the people around her, jaeun is also someone forgives a lot of things and she does not hold a grudge for the better. of course she gets problems with it once in a while, but her positive outlook on her life keeps her in one piece. jaeun is an open-minded person. she is someone that likes to believe in the best in things, she would accept people or things as they are and doesn’t believe in judging someone by what they were or by what other people think of them because she would accept you just the way you are.                        

—    jaeun is a person who is naturally cynical and she likes things to be already planned and ready. she doesn’t mean to spoil the fun rather it is the other way because she just simply cannot relax if things are about to go wrong.  she's a bit overbearing and she likes to lead, plans things. she likes to be one to make - and if she has an idea, she is likely to know how to put it into action very well. she is quite tenacious although she first had the idea in mind. other than that she was restless two things that unnecessarily go well together which caused her some problems again and again. but worst of all, she is highly likely to overthink and being a risk-taker like jaeun certainly does not make her less of a worry.                                                                                                                                  

— jaeun is straightforward though she’s too far by being one. jaeun never hold her tongue back when telling anyone the truth - added that for her sarcasm and you get someone who can come off as offensive. due to this, she and her members would sometimes get involve in a fight. but it is nothing major. her sassiness is normally either she was joking, or rather she actually is sassing the outside. she's not afraid to call someone out for being ill-mannered. jaeun really hates waiting. If the time is already set, then you have to come right then and right now. to her, waiting is a huge pain in the . she moves at her own pace to keep herself excited. slowing down because someone else "doesn’t get it" or having to stay focused on a single detail for too long is extremely frustrating to jaeun.                                                                                                           

—   jaeun’s mind is never at rest. her mind is fully charged with thoughts, ideas and she builds up her own world full of fantasies. she has carefully calculated plans for every situation in life and if she encountered with anything beyond those plans they go crazy, literally. jaeun is known to smell trouble beforehand and she prepares herself for it but when she is faced by many uncertain circumstances and situations, she tends to lose her bearing which will make her take hasty and unwanted decisions. her indecisiveness is clearly seen when she has to deal with matters which isn’t in her hands.

— eleanor kwon jaeun was born in los angeles, california. she was the only child of korean couple.when jaeun turned five, their parents decided to relocate to south korea. 

— jaeun was seen the potential of singing when she was in her early elementary years. her school was putting on a talent show. she was originally going to do dance but after hearing all of her other classmates talk about what they were going to do change her mind. instead jaeun chose singing. it surprised her parents when she announced it to them, since no one in either sides of her family had a music bone anywhere in their body. jaeun practiced her song with her math teacher, who was in a band in high school. and when the talent show came and jaeun sung her heart out to a song her teacher recommended, she surprised her parents even more. jaeun could actually sing pretty well despite her voice being undeveloped. sadly, jaeun didn't win but she got positive feedback from her classmates and teachers as well as other parents. and with this it marks jaeun's dreams. she decided that when she grows up she'll be a singer.

— during middle school jaeun practiced hard and got vocal tips from her music teacher to help her sing better. she joined an even band at her school. the music they played was good but jaeun left after an argument over it with her mother, who wanted her to focus on her grades and playing the piano she began to learn over last summer. her mother wanted her daughter to grow up and have a more than stable and powerful job like a prosecutor or a doctor; she didn't want her daughter to deal with the crap idols with through every day. jaeun was, however, heavily supported by her dad after he realizes that it wasn’t his right to prevent her daughter from chasing her dreams.

→ motionless; she's never seen panicking. the only instance she did, is when her pet dog was sent to the hospital. turns out, she was choking on something. → driving; soojung took driving exam right after she finishes school and successfully got a license in the first try.             
→ hibernate; sleeping for the whole day when she has a bad mood                       → gadget freak; always carries her phone and headphones with her                   → R&B and hiphop music; r&b music is full of emotions and it literally wants her to fall in love over and over and over again. she can't get enough of it. hiphop music has too many sub-genres that she loves. it can go from hard to slower. the beats are addicting, plus extremely powerful messages are hiding behind.                                                                                                                                 → variety queen; on a tv show, jaeun is the one who's pretty much awkward at the beginning making her the victim of the mc. as soon as the show starts to get crazy, she'll turn out to be funny, crazy and sometimes she'll show her savage moments to make the other laughs                                                             → is she thirsty?; wetting her lips as a habit.                                                             → cuddly though; leaning onto something or someone when tired.                       → social media accounts; she has twitter and instagrams to reach out more to meraki's fans

– baek sooyoung (21) / college student / outgoing, loud, bold / met at a park when they both were eight years old. their parents were partners since they were three years old and have been friends since then. they are like twins, minus their personalities. they get under each other's skin and make fun of each other without it being weird.

– plotline faith (22) / co-member / motherly, hard-working, cheerful / they trained together. ever since their meeting in sm building, her and jaeun were always seen together. they got closer thanks to their age and that she isn't one of those mean trainees. she was actually the first ever person to approach jaeun in sm and is the only girl trainee to ever talk to her besides sooyoung. she is always seen smiling, which always makes jaeun smile. eunhee dubbed her as "the mood maker" as she would always make a person's day brighter. her smile can light up the atmosphere of the room. 

–  yuta nakamoto (22) / idol, nct member / hardworking, funny, respectful / jaeun and yuta met when she was practicing in the dance studio. yuta was at the company to start his daily training too. despite the initial communication difficulty as yuta is japanese and he doesn’t know english or korean back then, the both of them manage to come up with the system where yuta did most of the talking and jaeun nods, gave few wild gestures and responses here and there. it also helps when jaeun and yuta have the same practice schedule. jaeun doesn’t mind yuta’s eccentric nature and would joins in whatever he feels like doing since deep inside, she is the same 4D alien species like him.

– father :: kwon jinhyuk (52) / contractor / aidback, understanding, playful / unlike jaeun's mother, her father is a lot more lenient. he's that laidback dad that would sneak you desert, even after your mother said no. jaeun and her father always seem to be joking around and there are never any awkward moments between the two, which is why jaeun is a lot closer to her father. he allows her to do what she wants as long as it's legal and it makes her happy. 

– mother :: kwon haeyoung (48) / office manager / strict, serious, caring / since jaeun's mother was born and raised in france, and prefers to go by the culture she was brought up with, her parenting can be quite strict. this leaves her and jaeun's relationship in a not so good place. around each other it's very tense and awkward, and when they talk?  it's forced and short. sure jaeun loves her mother to death but she feels her mother is overbearing and she can't help but dislike how her mother is always breathing down her neck. her mother, however, doesn't notice this and is just trying to be a good parent.

Did you train in other companies?  

jaeun has been a trainee under jyp ent. for a year before quitting. after that, she begun auditioning to various agency. she was then auditioned for sm ent. as her last resort and finally got accepted as a trainee.

Story of how you were scouted and trainee years life 

— jyp era; jaeun was scouted by a jyp entertainment pr officer while she was busking at hongdae with her friends. at a young age she started training in order to fulfil her dreams. training and studying was surely tough but she has to endure it. her singing and dancing skills were enhance but all of her hard work for two years was still not enough to pass through jyp's cut. 

— sm era: after getting cut in jyp entertainment, jaeun got through sm's entertainment via a private audition where she sang an acoustic version of sistar19's ma boy. just like in jyp her singing and dancing skills where thoroughly enhance but the pressure was more intense because if jaeun won't give her best it is time to bid goodbye to her dream. she thinks that debuting at sm's is her last shot so she is willing to give her all.
