[A] A Silent Voice + Recommendations

I've been rewatching the trailer for weeks now and I've been surfing every site I know [and don't know] for the movie. I read the manga before of the said film and I would love to see how it turned out as an anime adaption. I'm really waiting for the official movie to release but as of now, I'm gonna share my happiness with you guys!

A Silent Voice is a story about a boy who used to bully his deaf classmate back in elementary along with his friends. This caused the latter to transfer schools, and this also resulted the bully to get isolated by teachers and his fellow friends in high school. The story continues to where he meets the girl again and they finally see the good side of each other.

I really need a revival potion after Your Name (which I haven't stopped rewatching since I watched it) so I came to the point of watching every other anime movies I can find.

This is the trailer of "A Silent Voice", BTW:

I would also love to recommend you guys other anime movies I came to love!

SPIRITED AWAY

Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi

Stubborn, spoiled, and naïve, 10-year-old Chihiro Ogino is less than pleased when she and her parents discover an abandoned amusement park on the way to their new house. Cautiously venturing inside, she realizes that there is more to this place than meets the eye, as strange things begin to happen once dusk falls. Ghostly apparitions and food that turns her parents into pigs are just the start—Chihiro has unwittingly crossed over into the spirit world. Now trapped, she must summon the courage to live and work amongst spirits, with the help of the enigmatic Haku and the cast of unique characters she meets along the way.

HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE

Howl no Ugoku Shiro

That jumbled piece of architecture, that cacophony of hissing steam and creaking joints, with smoke billowing from it as it moves on its own... That castle is home to the magnificent wizard Howl, infamous for both his magical prowess and for being a womanizer—or so the rumor goes in Sophie Hatter's small town. Sophie, as the plain daughter of a hatmaker, does not expect much from her future and is content with working hard in the shop.

However, Sophie's simple life takes a turn for the exciting when she is ensnared in a disturbing situation, and the mysterious wizard appears to rescue her. Unfortunately, this encounter, brief as it may be, spurs the vain and vengeful Witch of the Waste—in a fit of jealousy caused by a past discord with Howl—to put a curse on the maiden, turning her into an old woman.

In an endeavor to return to normal, Sophie must accompany Howl and a myriad of eccentric companions—ranging from a powerful fire demon to a hopping scarecrow—in his living castle, on a dangerous adventure as a raging war tears their kingdom apart.

INTO THE FOREST OF FIREFLIES

Hotarubi no Mori e

Intrigued by the tale of a mountain god, six-year-old Hotaru Takegawa loses her way in the ancient forest while visiting her uncle. Exhausted and desperate for help, Hotaru is thrilled to find a masked forest spirit named Gin. She learns the hard way that she should not touch the boy, or he would disappear. In spite of this, Gin leads Hotaru out of the forest and warns her never to return when she promises to come again with a gift.

Paying no heed to his cautionary words, and despite being separated by both distance and planes of existence, Hotaru and Gin become close friends as she visits him eve

YOUR NAME

Kimi no Na wa

Mitsuha Miyamizu, a high school girl, yearns to live the life of a boy in the bustling city of Tokyo—a dream that stands in stark contrast to her present life in the countryside. Meanwhile in the city, Taki Tachibana lives a busy life as a high school student while juggling his part-time job and hopes for a future in architecture.

One day, Mitsuha awakens in a room that is not her own and suddenly finds herself living the dream life in Tokyo—but in Taki's body! Elsewhere, Taki finds himself living Mitsuha's life in the humble countryside. In pursuit of an answer to this strange phenomenon, they begin to search for one another.

MOVIE 2: CARDCAPTOR SAKURA: THE SEALED CARD

Cardcaptor Sakura Movie 2: Fuuin Sareta Card

During the Summer holidays, Sakura and her class are preparing to present a play at the annual Nadeshiko Festival. The unexpected arrival of Syaoran (and Meiling) give Sakura the courage to finally reciprocate her feelings. But as the cards begin to disappear one by one, Sakura discovers a single card still remains. One with power equal to all hers... It is during this summer that Sakura faces her final battle.

+Additional Note: This is like a sequel to the anime series so I guess the story is a bit hard to understand without the background from the said series. Nevertheless, it is still enjoyable. Shaoran is love ♥

TAMAKO LOVE STORY

As she edges toward the end of her high school life, the energetic but generally clueless third-year Tamako Kitashirakawa has only one major concern: pulling off a stunning baton performance at the Usagiyama Marching Festival. But all too soon, she is confronted by the reality that all her friends have big plans for their futures; she, on the other hand, just operates with the moderate goal of continuing to work at her family's restaurant.

Under the same brilliant sky, Mochizou Ooji intends to study at a university in Tokyo, leaving behind his family, friends, and most importantly, his first and only love Tamako. Unfortunately, the shy admirer cannot bring himself to declare his love, and Tamako is yet unaware that she is the source of such anguish. With time quickly running out, Mochizou must confess his feelings to Tamako soon, or his dream of romance will never be fulfilled.

I have a lot more of recommendations but I've got too little time. Anyway, I guess that wraps things up. I haven't watch "A Silent Voice" yet so I can't really add that to my recs but I'm sure that it's a splendid film! If anyone knows a site that already uploaded the movie, do let me know! ^_^

THANKS~

I just watched A Silent Voice just now in the cinemas!! It was really good. I'm trying not to spoil too much, but I found it interesting how the boy who once made the girl's life living hell for her decided to save her life as they grew up and became more mature. ;u;

And of course, as a seiyuu fan I was screaming when I saw Irino Miyu was voicing the main guy. >o<

Didn't really like Tamako Love Story but Cardcaptor Sakura would always be a reminder of my awkward, adolescent days ♥♥♥
