Pretty Ugly Tears

I haven't been getting the time to read anything recently because my life is a series of Natural and Unnatural Disasters and rn I am on a mission on hunting down jerks and inebriated asshats and eradicating them. Literally.

So here's a list of actual books I have that made me cry some pretty ugly tears. I am serious. I spent hours sitting on the toilet and bawling my eyes out because my fam will feed me if they see me crying over books. "It's a fake world in those papers, Arham. Why do you even waste your time reading three hundred books when you can come to the mall with me?" My sisters don't understand me. They failed me. I don't know them. Let me know if y'all are willing to buy two basic, dumb fuks of sisters for $3 dollars each. No refunds.

You'll thank me later. Or you might shoot me with a bazooka and feed my remains to sharks. It honestly depends if you’re up to torturing yourself or not.

Brace yourselves:

Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng

This ed me up so mad. Like, I can't right now. I can't even think about it without tearing up. I read it last year, and I reread it when angst fics fail me. It's amazing and everyone should love the author and this book. 20/10 would recommend.

When My Name Was Keoko by Linda Sue Park

Read this if you're interested in WW II, Korean culture, oppression, or the power of language. When My Name Was Keoko is an immersive look into Korean life during World War II. I read this awhile ago when I was still dumb and stupid (I still am), and I had to confront myself of my own stupidity because I didn't know Korea was occupied by Japan during WW II. This book goes into depth about Linda Sue Park's mother's life during the occupation. She meshes actual historical events with her own story to help the reader imagine what a typical Korean family went through while under Japanese rule. It was a peculiar read, but it left me in tears.

Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider

I cried some really ugly tears when I read this, and this is THE BOOK I had the pleasure of watching my sisters cry over. They barely read anything other than required school books. So when I finally convinced both my sisters to read it, I internally celebrated because I knew they'll bawl their eyes out. And boii, I had the time of my life watching their snot drip with salty tears YASSS. 20/10 would recommend.

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

THAT ENDING. WHAT EVEN IS THIS.
I seriously thought my ebook copy was corrupted or something. The ending. The book just stopped. It was finished. I'm still trying to recover.
Damn. This book.

Many people might know this story because it is one of the popular YA novels, and it is for a good reason why it's so famous. I cried, duh, but later I was so furious at the author. This story is overwhelming with the amount of realism the author has put in. Rainbow Rowell is one of my all time favorite authors and this book is one of my favorite books. You should definitely check out her other books as well.

April Loves Black Coffee: First Impressions and April Loves Black Coffee: Last Conversations by T.B. Solangel

Now this book comes in two installments, and I don't know if y'all know this but this book is a kpop classic. Yes. it was a fanfic at Soomp! I didn't read it when it was posted there, but I did want to check it out considering it was a kpop classic and I live for kpop classics. This book didn't fail my expectations. I didn't cry in the first book. It kinda layed out the foundation of the characters and their complex situations, also the writing wasn't that up to the mark BUT THE SECOND BOOK ED ME UP SO BAD LIKE I AM STILL FUMING AND MAD AND ANGRY AT THE AUTHOR. I'm probably a masochist for reading a book like this, despite the fact I already knew the ending. (TIP: NEVER SEARCH THIS BOOK UP ON TUMBLR BEFORE YOU FINISH IT. YOU'LL BE SCARRED). Still, this book officially broke my heart into tiny pieces. You're going to love Mayhem, like ing adore him. kdifjaskd I can't form sentences that makes sense, this is really THAT good. READ IT OMG YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

I'm having a heart attack.

This is it for now, let me know on the comment section down below if you do check these out. Trust me, they're all amazing. I'll come back with more! c:
