Personality; Dae is a person who puts others before herself her benevolent attitude comes from her mother, she doesn’t do things to benefit herself and maybe that is because she was always told by her mother that others happiness is the best gift you can give – she doesn’t believe that much. Dae is honest she tells people what she is thinking and most times she tries to be polite as well – she was taught her manners, helps old ladies cross the street, lets pregnant ladies have her chair on the train, uses her pleases and Thank you’s and maybe this is why people find her captivating – she is different to most teenagers her age, maybe it is because she is beautiful but people seemed to be drawn to her beauty or her kind quiet nature.
Introverted keeping to herself mostly; not shy just is exhausted by the energy of other people, she isn’t antisocial but she likes her personal time or quality time with someone close to her. She is subtle with her emotions nothing shows loudly in her actions sometimes she leaves people guessing if she doesn’t explain herself. Dae is quite complex nothing is black and white when it comes to her – she is like this but sometimes like that, she is almost like a stable state of chaos. She has difficultly explaining herself sometimes as she struggles to understand why she does the things that she does. Her sarcastic attitude usually surprises people but she doesn’t really show that side of her unless you’ve really pissed her off.
Dae is an anxious person always feeling like she isn’t doing something correctly or people are watching, she tries not to let anyone know she struggles with anxiety because it is difficult enough trying to deal with it without others hassling you asking if you’re okay. She can be blunt and she is usually blunt when she is hurt, pissed off or tired – she can be quite nasty when she is jealous also, she seems to have a green monster most of the time as she is insecure about her own self and abilities that she is envious of others and the things that they have.
Background; Dae is the product of an affair – Dae’s father was already married with two boys when he met her mother, the romance was doomed from the start. Dae’s mother was the PA of the Exec office in her father’s section. As Dae’s father’s marriage was suffering he turned to her mother for affection, they kept it secret for a while until Dae’s mother found out she was pregnant and and when eventually her father’s wife found out about the illegitimate child she made her mother’s life hell. Dae was forced to spend time with their family as a young child – her older half-brothers didn’t seem to like her much, well they seemed to busy for her.
Around the age of ten Dae’s mother took her own life and of course Dae didn’t understand why and she hated the idea of living with her father and his wife because she blamed the both of them but she had nowhere else to go. Dae routinely woke up, went to school, came home, did her homework and went to bed, she didn’t want to do anything else – she wanted to join her mother in heaven and that’s when Dae met him; her brothers best friend – Jang Hyunwon, he was kind to her, he talked to her, he would ask if she was down and he looked just like an angel. When Dae entered High school she was absolutely shocked to see ‘Hyunwon Oppa’ as the history teacher, she thought maybe the heavens were finally smiling down on her.
