ELABORATION : Who is Jung Hanbyeol really? Is he just the charming manager at an ad company or is he something more? At first glance, you will see a handsome man with a charming aura. A man who seems to have it all and can make your heart flutter just by smiling at you. But Han is so much more than a pretty face. He isn't the one to give up easily, he works hard with the job that he's been granted. Never leaving it half done but usually finishing that and one more report. He's not the one to just let his work lay on his desk and pile up for weeks he works on it right after he gets it, hating when just a little bit of work piles up. As I may or may not have mentioned before, Jung Han is the well-known manager of the B team at C&D commercials in Seoul. So of course, he holds extraordinary leader abilities. He knows how to get the workers on his team to finish in time, how to support and help them through it.
He stands up for his team if a client is mean or disrespectable to them (cause no one messes with my children). So you could pretty much say that you can rely on him for anything, he's someone who holds his promises, he's not someone who lies so if you want his opinion, prepare yourself for it sounding harsh. Han is not someone who leaves you hanging but will be ready at the time you decided. Don't let his hardworking leader persona fool you though. Jung Han is someone loves to take time for the fun things in life. Mostly he's the one to suggest that the team goes to a restaurant and drinks after work. He even suggests to go to clubs sometimes as well. Games of any kind is his forte. Everything from video games to board games. To put it simply. He loves having fun and finding those golden moments in life.
Did you sadly annoy our little Han? Be prepared for sarcasm. Han is not the person to always be sarcastic but if you piss him off, he will show you his sassy side. Han doesn't give up easily and that my come from he being a stubborn little donkey. This may be good or not so good depending on the situation. He will not give up easily and will struggle until he completes the task but the bad side of his stubborn personality is that he will never give in when he's in an argument. Even if he's wrong. "what do you mean you read it in a book? the book is probably outdated" How does Jung Han get so many female clients you may wonder? the flirty side of him fixes that. His constant teasing with a flirty tone that comes out when he speaks to females. A wink or two joins the party sometimes. Making the girls and sometimes boys fall more in love with him.
A human being can't be perfect, can they? of course not! As stated earlier he doesn't lie and tells his opinion not caring if it's mean or not. He doesn't sugarcoat anything, he doesn't see the point in doing so. why lie for people to be happy? it's better to be straight forward than to lie. He may say some things without thinking. This making him seem like an asshat sometimes. 'cause you're cat sweater is disgusting, just saying. who would have thought that Jang Hanbyeol, the successful manager of C&D commercials, that handsome guy, would be insecure. That he would be the one to put up a wall of confidence when interacting with people when he's breaking down inside. Han is used to his mother saying what he's doing is not good enough and somewhere along his path in life it affected him.
He's the one to think that his ads are never as good as team A's. He thinks that his team did a wonderful job but that he made it terrible. Basically, Jung Han is a fragile little cinnamon bun that needs protection. Did you make Jung Han wait? God help you. He's extremely impatient and doesn't accept tardiness. What's the hard thing with doing stuff on time? if you plan ahead and stick to it, everything will go smoothly. He hates waiting with a passion. He once was at the doctor's office to get a checkup but the doctor he was supposed to see was busy with another patient for long. Guess what happened? Han stood up and left. A minute of wait feels like ten for our dear Han. What's Han's is Han's and no one else's. He's quite the possessive man. Both when it comes to things to people. Do you want to borrow a pen? in your dreams. Want some chips? haha, funny. buy your own.
When it comes to his friends he doesn't have a problem to hang out with many people if he's friends with everyone in the group. But if someone unknown arrives. Oh boy you're getting murderous stares right through your soul. Jung Hanbyeol, the guy who bought an expensive pair of headphones (when he already has three pairs) just because he felt like it. The guy who just walked up to his crush in high school and kissed her because he was tired of playing hard to get. Jung Hanbyeol, my friend. Is a person who acts before he thinks aka an impulsive person. His impulsive side weakens in periods when he feels really insecure but when he's with his friends that side often gets broken down and his impulsive side comes to play. "let's go for a drive to Busan!" "who's up for up for spray painting?!" anndd sometimes he gets his group into trouble.
HE WAS ON THE RIGHT PATH, YET HE WAS LOST
BACKGROUND : Jung Hanbyeol was born on the 12th of august 1991 to a family consisting of only his mother. His father left a few months before Han was born. when he realized that Han's mother was pregnant he felt like he didn't sign up to be a father and left. But do not worry, Han's mother found love and married when he was two years old. She married a lawyer that was next in line to become the CEO of the firm. From living the poor life with Han's mother working at two jobs to not working at all under the wing of her new husband. The year 1997 was when Han got his dear little sister that he loves from the bottom of his heart. Hanbyeol had a pretty normal childhood with friends and fun until he started school at the demands from his mother and step-father started. "what do you mean you only got 76 points? go study!" "behave" "don't be out too late" "take care of your sister". Han didn't have much o"f a so-called vacation when he was young but the few times he felt like a normal kid that had a kind and fun family was when they traveled to Japan almost every summer. Sure it was for his step-father's work as he left them at the hotel to talk to clients but Han didn't know and didn't care at that time.
It was in Japan where Hanbyeol found his passion for taking pictures of pretty things. It was a hot summer day in the year of 1997 and he got some money (a bit more than necessary) from his step-father as Han didn't stop whining about how he wanted ice cream. Hanbyeol ran to the corner store with a big smile on his face. He walked inside, chose a vanilla flavored ice cream and walked up to the counter to pay. At the counter, there were cameras at display. It was those weird and bad cameras that you could shoot underwater pictures with. But Han didn't care, he wanted that camera. Thanks to his step-father he had the money to buy one camera and you can bet that he did. Through Han's childhood he never really felt like he did enough for his mother or did what he had to make her pleased. He was never smart enough in her eyes. Even though he always were on second or third place when it came to studies in school, but that wasn't enough. Why? Because there was always someone who was better, smarter and richer. If we jump to Jung Hanbyeol's high school life we will see that he was quite the popular lad. He had a group of friends that he hung out with at school and girls who liked him and confessed to him. But Han was having none of that, always turning the girls down 'cause he had his eyes on another girl. The girl who sat next to him in class.
The girl who was a bit shy a stuttered when the teacher told her to answer. The girl who supported Han through his hardships at school even when she had other things to worry about. She is the girl who Han's friends told him to play hard to get with and she was the girl who Han got tired of waiting for and just kissed her. She is the girl who was Han's first girlfriend and the only girlfriend he ever had. He graduated high school as one of the top students and got into college a few months after graduation. Where he studied photography and korean literature (much to his parent's dismay as they wanted him to study law). He finished his studies in a few years and got recommended a job as a photographer at C&D commercials almost immediately after he was finished with his studies. After two years of working, he was the lucky one to be promoted to team manager and he have loved the job ever since. Han and his girlfriend were still going strong, or so Han thought at least. She didn't answer when he called and more often than not did she say she was busy with other things when he asked her out on a day. until that faithful and dark day came. It was the year of 2016 it was in the middle of the summer but the rain poured over Seoul like fall came early. Hanbyeol's girlfriend had offered to meet him at the cafe just around the corner of where he worked. They sat quietly for a bit, watching as the rain pour down and letting their coffees go cold. It was her who started the conversation. "i wanna take a break" her voice cold.
The world crashed around Hanbyeol, he didn't feel a thing or maybe he felt too much that he didn't know how to react. Small words left his mouth "why?" he asked, close to tears. "it feels like we never have the time for each other anymore" i never want to spend time with you anymore "so let's think about what we can do better and meet after some time" i'm just breaking up with you like this so you can't stop thinking about me. With that she stood up and walked out of the cafe. Leaving Hanbyeol to pick up the pieces of his broken heart alone. What did he do wrong? Did he do something wrong? The confident facade that his girlfriend help to build up was broken in the matter of seconds and the insecure and lost boy that he hid came forward. Hanbyeol didn't go back to work that day. He called in sick and laid on the floor in his apartment with soju and beer bottles all around him. His breakup made him think over things. Was he really happy with life? Did he enjoy his job? yes, he did. He had a good salary, good apartment, and nice friends. He was on what people would call the right path so why did he feel so lost? Either way Hanbyeol will soon discover why his girlfriend broke up with him and it's not a pretty sight. He was walking towards the usual bakery he goes to, to get some comfort-food (this was only one week after the breakup). when he saw her. He saw her hugging and kissing another guy. Like Jung Hanbyeol didn't feel ty enough already.
LIFE TODAY : As mentioned before, Jung Hanbyeol is a manager at C&D commercials where he gets a pretty good income from as he lives in a nice office apartment in the middle of Seoul. He at least makes better than average. (that's the good thing with being good at your job) He should feel happy with his life and job but he just feels like nothing really has a meaning at the moment. He doesn't know if the work he's doing is the right one for him or if he wants something else in life. He hasn' t gotten a girlfriend or gone on any dates after the breakup, his heart still broken and waiting for someone to come and pick up the pieces.

MOTIVE(S) BEHIND LEAVING : Why did Jung Hanbyeol follow along to this adventure around the world. The easy answer would be to take pictures of the beautiful places that he will discover but i'm afraid that it isn't that easy. Han is lost. He doesn't know if he should take the right way or the left way or go backwards. By joining in on this trip he hopes to find himsself.
