Aejung is a very friendly person. All throughout school, she was voted as the most friendly person in their class for always greeting people & being kind. Aejung always believed that to be happy was to make others happy & that you could never have too many friends. She always tries to make the best of every situation, whether it's at work or in her every day life. The only thing that gets her down is  the bitterness she feels over her breakup with Michael. Her way of coping was to begin to hate him so that she wouldn't want him anymore (which led to her wanting someone completely opposite of him). Aejung is very particular which helps with her job but annoys Qiu Hui to no end since "no one cares if the painting is just a little bit crooked". Everything must be just so; she makes sure every form that goes through her desk is perfect.
Aejung can get a bit jealous, especially since she doesn't think she's the biggest fish in the sea. Jay is quite handsome & she can get jealous when another girl notices. She knows it's irrational but she still worries. She doesn't obsessively check his phone though since she respects boundaries. However, her jealousy gets a little worse after she finds out that he's an idol with lots of female fans.
Aejung likes to be the centre of attention & can get antsy when people aren't paying attention to her. Part of it stems from being the older sister but mostly, she just likes the spotlight. Conversations can seem a bit one-sided with her about her but she's slowly learning to tame it.

Background
Aejung lived a rather sheltered life in Incheon. Her family was about middle-class but her parents always worried about money. Due to this, Aejung never asked her parents if she could take any kinds of lessons unless they were free through the school. Instead, Aejung channelled her efforts into artistic things like drawing. She also took English classes since they were offered by the school. Aejung was a nice girl & a social butterfly - she talked to everyone in her classes, she got invited to sleepovers & birthday parties but Aejung couldn't say that she had a best friend & since she had so many friends, she didn't really mind it.
After graduating high school, Aejung decided to move into the university dorms at Ewha Womans University so that she could live indepedently from her family. Aejung had worked while she was in high school & managed to save some money to pay for school & won a few scholarships but still needed to work in order to pay for food, housing & books. Living in the dorms is where she finally met her best friend during 3rd year, Qiu Hui since they ended up as roommates. It turned out that they were both studying languages & Aejung spent many a night helping Qiu Hui with her Korean homework.
In Aejung's 3rd year of university, Aejung was introduced to an exchange student, Michael, by Qiu Hui. The pair had an Korean class together & he was then invited to lunch with the girls that day. Michael & Aejung hit it off, ending up dating the next week. In high school, Aejung had been working hard to earn some scholarships for university & hadn't had time to date anyone. Michael ended up being Aejung's first everything & whole life. Aejung didn't even realize that she'd been steadily pushing Qiu Hui away. They'd had fights & slowly, they talked less & less.
After about a year & a half of dating, Michael took Aejung out on a walk & proceeded to dump her. Of course, he gave excuses, saying that they both worked so much they could hardly see each other, that they wanted different things later in life & that it just wasn't working anymore. Of course, Aejung went straight back to her shared dorm with Qiu Hui. When Qiu Hui saw the tears in Aejung's eyes, she knew & wrapped her best friend in a hug. The girls made up then & there, vowing that no guy would ever get between them again.

Jay is a laidback sort of person - not the type to be a controlling boyfriend. Though his parents were Asian, they thought it was most important for a person to be healthy & happy (of course, while still being within reason). As a minority in America, Jay had to grow up with his own sense of identity - there not being many Asian figures he could look up to. He managed to become confident in himself with support from his family. In Korea, he has found confidence since there are more Korean people like him around but the American part of him - the most visible being his tattoos - definitely give him some insecurities like how the Korean part of him in America made him stand out. Jay struggles with balancing these sensitivities.
Due to his busy schedule, Jay's time is inconsistent & even though he wants to be a reliable person, he puts his work first since he's worked so hard to get where he currently is. This is another reason why he needs Heaven's help, he needs someone who can understand his crazy schedule & is alright with a little bit of "long distance" since he'd be doing events as well in other cities. Jay credits it to his "resting -face" but he's perceived as having a cold, unapproachable feeling to him. Some would say it's cool but it bothers Jay that he comes across this way & tried to smile more.

Background
Jay was born in a small city beside Seattle. He grew up speaking both Korean & English so it was no surprise that he wanted to study abroad for a little while & lived with his grandparents in Korea, going to school there from 8th-10th grade but eventually getting homesick, he returned home. When he got older, Jay returned to South Korea for a couple years of university, making friends with six other guys, even forming a singing/rapping group called 2PM because they would meet a couple times a week at 2PM.
Unfortunately, Jay's family began to have money troubles & so he had to return to the US for his last year because it was less expensive for him to live at home while attending univeristy. Once things stabilized at home, Jay couldn't resist going back to Korea. He'd got a degree in performing arts but didn't have much idea of what he wanted to do. He ended up working at coffee shops & convenience stores until one day, he was scouted by a dance company that would choreograph for kpop idols. The choreographers particularly liked all of the tattoos that Jay had accumulated when he had lived in the US since it made him stand out in Korea where tattoos, especially large, noticeable ones like his aren't widely accepted.
Jay had since been dancing as a background dancer in MVs & live performances for 7 years. He then wanted to begin using his performing arts degree & founded his own label so that he could make music of his own. Many of the dancers from Jay's former dance company joined with him to form AOMG.
Jay's reason for joining Heaven's website is that he has a difficult time finding girls that aren't off-put by all his tattoos. Most girls that don't mind, are after him because he's a founder of a label & assume he has a lot of money.

☁︎ Is there an ideal partner you've dreamed about? Ideal? Tbh, I'm not that picky. Really, I just want someone who's the exact opposite of my ex. My ex was a super clean-cut white boy that didn't really challenge social norms. No more white boys for me!
☁︎What kind of relationship are you looking for? Be as specific as you'd like! I had a pretty sheltered life before I went to university. I kind of want a relationship that's exciting, laidback! Fun! I want someone who will only see me.
☁︎Do you believe in any kind of love at all? Okay, this is a little embarrassing to admit but... for a while after the breakup, I didn't, I really didn't. I was so upset, I thought Michael had loved me. Honestly though, it was my best friend that helped me pull through. I can say now that I believe in my love for my family & for my best friend. We'll see if someone can make me believe in romantic love again.
☁︎Anything I should absolutely know before finding your match? Absolute no-gos, parent issues, any kind of baggage I should be aware of? No white boys. None. I mean... I wouldn't mind if he had 1 or 2 tattoos. I draw the line at piercings though - that's too weird. I think it should also go without saying that I don't really want someone with a kid already or a crazy ex-wife or something.

First Meeting
Ideal: Aejung would've liked to just have a normal trial date with this guy at a nice restaurant. When she signed up to meet this guy, Qiu Hui warned her that she should meet him in a public place in case he was a creep.
Real: Jay was on a tight schedule but had already rescheduled the date with his "perfect match" a few times & didn't want her to think that he wasn't interested. He offered a coffee date since it would be relatively quicker than a lunch date. While Aejung was waiting for Jay to show up, she ended up running into Michael who was out with a cute little blonde foreigner. They had a bit of an awkward conversation. When it got to dating, Michael introduces the blonde as his girlfriend of 4 years. Michael then realizes his mistake - he & Aejung broke up 4 years ago. Michael then tries to move the conversation along by asking if she's alone. Jay hears this &  then steps in to pose as her boyfriend of 2 years.

Interactions
Since Jay & Aejung's jobs keep them travelling, they usually spend a lot of time "together" video calling each other on KakaoTalk. Both of them are rather relieved that the other has a job that keeps them busy so that they're not just sitting at home, wondering why the other one is so busy. Jay & Aejung have a lighthearted, teasing relationship.
At first, Aejung can't help herself from staring at Jay's tattoos - they're rather large & distracting. As time goes on, she hardly even notices them anymore. Jay is surprised but delighted in knowing that Aejung doesn't realize that she's dating Jay Park of AOMG since she's not like other girls that he's dated; spoiled & childish.
Everything changes when Dispatch finally gets a picture of Jay & Aejung on a date. It's not as big of a deal as when idols that are in super popular groups get caught, but all the same, AOMG needs to make a statement. The company decides to go ahead with the relationship. Aejung however, starts to get uncomfortable when people start to recognize her on the streets. She even gets a little hate on her Instagram & online. She ends up breaking up with Jay because she can't handle the pressure.
